I find his movies moving and enlightening in many ways but there's so much to sift through before that.. it's exhausting. One needs to be in the mood for it. Clearly not something to watch when looking for quick entertainment. Love his scripts though. Reads like pure poetry.

I don't mind that type of movies. Some directors can make such slow movies engaging some can't. Alejandro Gonzalez's movies are slow but I find them engaging. The Malick wala movie I watched today, To The Wonder, reminded me of Gonzalez's movies, but a poorer version.
