Like Aparna said in her post, why did this show had to be a daily soap. This was truly a golden opportunity to make a heart wrenching love triangle. But they were too stuck on the cliched story. Anyways we are smart enough to read between the linesš
Life of Prerna and her two loves ā AP & PRB
To say that this love was true or that love was true or this was love or that was not love is a very simplistic way of looking at human emotions and life. Here is my interpretation of the complex but clear triangle.
Prerna was a woman who did not know mediocre love. She had always loved intensely with her entire being, made herself vulnerable and rejected to love anybody half-heartedly.
Anurag Basu was her first love and yes, it is special. Why? Because you think that it will last but more often than not, it does not last. So, it is the breaking of that expectation where you are faced with the truth that no relationship lasts forever. Even if you are married for life, it will ultimately end. But here is the catch, there is one thing which lasts. LOVE. So, yes, their relationship ended but their love never did. Anurag continued to love Prerna. He made himself incapable of loving another woman like a lover or wife. He could have but he chose not to.
What about Prerna? She, too, always loved Anurag. Then what about Rishabh Bajaj?
Prerna fell in love twice. AND IT HAPPENS. She loved AB as a lover and husband. Like Anu, she too had decided to love only him her entire life but then Rishabh Bajaj arrived. A man deeply and madly in love with her. A man who died a thousand deaths inside yet gave her the space to love another man and cry on his shoulder for him. She just could not resist Mr. Bajaj. He made it impossible for Prerna to not fall in love with him. She still loved Anurag but as a friend and as a wonderful human being because her heart had accepted Rishabh as her lover/husband.
Did Prerna forget Anurag? No, but remembered him only as a memory ā good and bad both.
Did she move on?Yes, she fell in love with Bajaj. Their love was an epitome of a soulās search for eternity.
Would she have forgotten Bajaj if they had separated for a reason? No. She would have continued to love him because a relationship ultimately ends but Love never does.
Would she have moved on from Bajaj? I doubt. Why? Because he would have never asked her for a divorce and if she had, then he would have never remarried. That was one difference between Rishabh and Anurag. This madness for her was what made her go crazy for him.
Anurag was closest to her heart but Rishabh Bajaj was her heartbeat, in her own words.
Prerna and Anurag's souls were the closest but separate while Rishabh was her life and your life is constantly with you, in you. One does not remember it or think of it. It simply is. It is eternal. It is not separate from you. It is one with you.
