My screen was on fire. Specially when RB holds her in a sort of fit of rage and says, "sambhalo apne apko, Prerna! kya kar rhi ho tum!" and she replies, "This is youngsters' party, Mr. Bajaj and there's no harm in feeling a bit young, right?" 😆

I would have Maya to continue and fall for Bajaj☺️😆

Real story wise for me show ended just before the first 20 year leap.

Chalo even if you want to give some benifit just because show was doing well, I will say once anu-sam married, they should have ended without another 5 years leap because post that, the show was pathetic to say the least.

All meaningless tracks.

Totally with you. In fact all the leaps were forced. They could have continued even without leaps but then Anu would have to be sidelined. Then what would happen to makers' AP obsession.

Hey, guys! I didn’t like how the Madhavi track was handled by the makers. They showed her as a ‘bechari’ while clearly she took advantage of a heavily drunk man and then made him feel guilty for no fault of his. If the genders were reversed, it was plainly a criminal offence. Mind you, she was herself a top criminal lawyer. His mistake though was that he could not muster the courage to tell it to Prerna. This is my take on how that track could have continued after PRB’s marriage.

I know it’s a controversial topic but I feel we can look at things from a man’s perspective too. I’ll do the narration in RB’s case. Inspiration taken from RB’s birthday episode. Hope you’ll like it. Claps and slaps, both are welcome.

The Phone Call. (pt 1)

They have been married for a month and a half. Initially she was too hesitant to get intimate.Perhaps they had been ‘just friends’ for far too long and she needed some time to erase that thin line. Then when she felt that that line had disappeared, her Kaka babu passed away. This was followed by Rishabh’s busy schedule and three business trips in a span of thirty days. It might be his excuse for giving Prerna the time she had never asked for. All this is taking a toll on her now.

It is Mr. Bajaj’s birthday. Her eyes get flooded with tears again and again making her vision blur while she decorates their place to surprise him. After the decorations, she gets ready, wears a peach-colored saree with a rose gold blouse and drop earrings. On her neck is the mangalsutra which Rishabh wore her on their wedding.

“Your bride is waiting for you.” She smiles with moist eyes as she applies sindoor in her hairline.

She is aware that her husband is waiting for her to open her arms to let him rest in the realm of love. She wants to drown into that ocean too where they will be one. The little distance that still lurks between them is so unnecessary. Her eyes turn to the closed door yet again, waiting for him to open it.

Finally, the door opens. It is all dark and quiet inside except the enchanting song of the winds.

“Ghar main itna andhera kyun hai? Prerna? Prernnaa….?” and he switches on the light. And there he stands tall, Prerna’s intezar, a handsome and dark figure wearing a cream-colored business suit, soaking in the beautiful sight that was waiting forhim. Is it a dream? Wherever his vision goes, he sees fresh and full-grown flowers in red, purple and white. The bouquets of red roses and feverfew daisies, surrounded by white baby’s-breaths, sit right in the middle of the hall. And there, in the lap of those flowers, lies her message inside the card,

Dear Husband,

“You are everything I have ever wanted and everything I have always waited for. Thank you for making me a part of your life.

“Forgive me,please. I forgot your birthday.

“Happy Birthday, Dear Love,

“Prerna.”

It was her handwriting.

As he enters his bedroom, his eyes sparkle with the lights of candles that encircle the room. Onthe bed a wristwatch waits for him, with a note, “Our love has conquered time. We will be together, here and beyond.” Mr. Bajaj lifts it up with a tender smile. But where is Prerna? He looks around and back. There she is!

Prerna, ye sab..?”,he gladly asks.

She smiles and shrugs her shoulders. She walks towards him and begins,

“Mr. Bajaj, I am sorry. Pta nhi main kaise bhool gyi...” and her voice chokes with emotion. Rishabh, seeing her struggle, proceeds thus,

“There is no need to say anything,” he cups her face and says, “Tum mujhse pyaarkrti ho, main bhi krta hun. Fir kyun hum ise jeete nhi? Kyun is tarah maafi maangnemain waqt zaya karte hain? Dekho, shadi ko kitne din ho gaye aur humne kitnawaqt zaya kar diya. Kuch kiya hi nhi abhi tak.” Prerna giggles at this. Rishabh reciprocates with a mischievous smile.

“Let’s cut the cake first.” she chuckles with the playfulness of a teenager.

“Cake is not running anywhere… Bahut khoobsurat lag rhi ho.”, he pulls her towards himself with a brooding intensity. Prerna melts into the heat of his blue eyes.

“Ye kaise ho gya,Prerna. Aisa to kabhi khwaab main bhi nhi socha tha. Tum meri ho gayi?”

“Apke siva mainaur kisi ki ho hi nhi sakti, Mr. Bajaj.”

Their eyes lock, revealing a tale of yearning and patience that they wish to continue no more. Prerna wraps her arms around his neck while he holds her by the waist. Drawn towards each other, they embrace while looking into each other’s eyes. Rishabh plants a kiss on her hair and another on her neck. They begin to sink into one another as the slumber towards an awareness begin. As they loosen the hold, their eyes slowly open looking into another. Prerna fondles his ear as he moves his fingers into her hair and wraps another arm around her waist. They have arrived and there is no going back now.

Suddenly the wind becomes wild and all candles, except one, extinguish.

“Mr. Bajaj ye…?” Prerna feels it strong and worries.

“Kuch nhi hua, Prerna. Hawa chal rhi thi to candles bujh gyi. Na hawa ka kasoor hai na candleska.”, he kisses her on the forehead. She plunges into his chest and a sudden rush of worry scares her that they may get separated.

“Prerna? Kya hua?”he asks, caressing her cheek.

“Pta nhi…”, she takes a deep breath. “Hum alag nhi ho sakte. Hai na?”

He relaxes her and is, in turn, relaxed by her warmth. He softly holds her chin with one hand and leansto kiss her but suddenly his phone rings breaking the bliss. He hangs the call without a second thought. Rishabh looks at her maintaining the intensity as he will not let anything to interfere. Within a few seconds his phone rings again. He hangs the call again but it rings again before he can finally switch it off.

“May be something urgent, Prerna.”

The professional and the wife within her quarrel. Knowing he will soon return, she let him be.

“Kar lijiye baat.Par jaldi!”

“Just one minute!”he confirms.

“Hello?”

“Hello! Is this Mr. Bajaj?

“Yes!”

“Mr. Bajaj, this is Dr. Khanna. Your wife is in our hospital. She fell unconscious before the hospital gate while she was coming here for the check-up.”

Rishabh is confused. He looks at Prerna and gives her a casual smile. Nobody has a right to spoil these precious moments. So, he turns around and moves towards the window and asks,

“My what? What are you talking about?” he whispers.

“Sir, she told us that you are her baby’s father.”

“What??”, it was unbelievable.

Meanwhile, Prerna hugs him from behind and teases, “Ho gyi apki important call, Mr. Bajaj?”

“Han bas, Prerna!”,he struggles to hide his bewilderment and disbelief.

“Name?” he asks. For he can not speak any more at the moment with Prerna resting on his shoulder.

“Madhavi Bose,sir.”

There have been countless itv characters who are iconic like sujal, Angad ,Arnav ,jai walia and mihir but Ronit Roy's Bajaj remains the most iconic just on how much impact that character had on itv.Bajaj was the first Anti hero of Itv. His character paved way for arrogant buisness tycoons like arnav sujal and shivaay. Bajaj was the first angry man of itv. Audience were used to see heroes like mihir and anurag on tv but Bajaj was the first of his kind.

Mr Bajaj and prerna were the first older guy and younger woman couple of itv. This couple paved way for other these type of characters like jai walia and Bani of kasam. Bajaj is truely iconic in that sense.

3.Mr Bajaj and prerna were the first forced marriage of itv.Todays Forced marriage in itv are due to this couple

4.The Impact Bajaj still has on itv is truely mesmerizing. Shows like choti saardarni and punar vivah are based on same concept as Mr Bajaj prerna story line.Even in sanjeevani you can see Mr. Singh and Ishani
