HDFC doesn't look bad. Quite reliable but so was Yes Bank a few years ago. Sabse bharosa uth gaya hai. :/

I have max investment in HDFC . woh gaya toh main gayi . PMC bank resulted in many lives lost but the government didn't wake up to the disaster. always felt this will not be a one bank thing and look how from cooperative to now direct private banks. I woul suggest SBI , ICICI and HDFC for safe deposits cus for RBI these are three priority banks. So makes them safest as of now.

Thats why real estate investment is still better. Maybe not that high return like shares etc but a rental income with inflation over the years is still good alternative
