Maan & geet’s dialogues with saahil were superb .

Geet will have to go back home soon , what will maan do.

I am a bit worried for geet, she is so busy taking care of family & her patients & she is neglecting herself.

CHAPTER 44

ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS (if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Any MEDICAL PROCEDURES, MEDICAL TERMS, RELIGIOUS TERMS, Punjabi terms, architectural terms, IT terms & programs, hospital/office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE.

“Who are you? Whom do you want to meet?”

“I want to meet Mr.Aditya Srivastav and Miss Priyanka Manchanda.”

“Do you have an appointment?”

“I.......”

“Geet beta, tum yahaan kya kar rahi ho? Adi ki cabin mein kyun nahi gayeen?” (Geet what are you doing here? Why haven’t you gone to Adi’s cabin.) Ranjit said coming near Geet. Then looking at the petite woman said, “Mai samajh gaya. As usual Ms. Saraswati Maheshwari is throwing her weight around.” (I get it. As usual Ms. Saraswati Maheshwari is throwing her weight around.)

Then looking around announced in a loud voice, “I would like to introduce to you all to the newest member of Khurana family. This is the “eldest daughter-in-law of Khuranas”. I mean she is my elder son, Maan Singh Khurana’s wife, Mrs. Geetanjali Maan Singh Khurana. She is doctor by profession. Geetanjali is “Senior Gyanecologist and Obstetrician in Dhanvantri Hospital”.” Geet politely did “namaste” to all the gathered staff

and then whispered to Ranjit, “Baba, hummein Pinky ko dekhna hai.” (Baba, I have to examine Pinky.)

“Haan chalo beta.” (Come with me.) Ranjit guided Geet to Adi’s cabin.

On entering she found Adi pacing up and down with Meera and few lady staff present. “I want everyone out. I NEED PRIVACY TO EXAMINE THE PATIENT.”

Geet ordered. Ranjit, Meera and all ladies staff left but Adi was still there. “Geet, Pinky ko kya hua hai?” (Geet what’s wrong with Pinky?)

“Bhaiya, aap thodi der bahaar beithiye hummein examine karne dijiye.” (Bhaiya, please wait for sometime outside while I examine Pinky.)

“Magar.....” (But......)

“Please.”

Adi grudgingly left.

After 20minutes, Geet opened the door and Adi walked in but before Meera could enter Geet said professionally, “Miss Gupta, can you please wait outside as this is a private and confidential part of Miss Manchanda’s life.” Meera understood and left with rest of the female staff. Geet locked the door and said in a professional voice, “Adi bhaiya, I need to know answers to few personal questions not as Pinky’s friend or as your sister but as a doctor.”

“Anjali, you can ask me whatever you want.”

“I know that you both are in a relationship. Were you ever intimate recently?”

“Intimate?”

“Yes made love with one another.”

“Woh..mai...” Adi was feeling awkard and embarassed.

“Bhaiya, you have to tell me the truth for Pinky’s sake.” Geet said firmly in a no nonsense voice.

“Y...Y...Yes we were.”

“Very well. Bhaiya, there is a high probability that Pinky is pregnant.”

“PREGNANT.” There was a thud and Adi was lying on the ground unconscious.

“MEN.” Geet clicked her tongue. “They are ready to have a nice time with their beloved but faint at the thought of responsibility.”

There was a knock on the door and Geet opened to see Maan standing.

“Mai dawa laya thaa.” (I’ve got the medicine.)

“Aayiye aur apne dost ko hosh mein laayiye. Men are so chicken hearted.” (Come in and revive your friend. Men are so chicken hearted.) Geet clicked her tongue again. Geet moved aside so Maan could see Adi lying unconscious on the floor. While Geet administered the medication to Pinky. Maan revived Adi and asked Geet, “Tumne aisa kya keh diya Mishty ki Adi behosh ho gaya?” (What did you say to Adi Mishty, that he fainted?)

“Humne sirf itna kaha thaa ki “there is high probability that Pinky is pregnant.” Yeh sunn kar Adi bhaiya behosh ho gaye.” (I only said that “there is high probability that Pinky is pregnant.” He heard ‘pregnancy’ and fainted.)

“But Adi and Pinky are not married?”

“I know that’s why I wanted this conversation to be private.” Maan made Adi have water and a candy (primarily meant for clients). When Adi was sufficiently revived. Geet continued, “But all is not well. There something else also the problem due to which Pinky is not regaining her consciousness. What the problem is I can’t diagnose here. I need to admit Pinky in hospital SOS and do some tests. Another thing, does Pinky have any relative male or female who can sign her surgery papers?”

“SURGERY?” Adi gasped.

“Bhaiya, there is no certainity that a surgery is going to be performed, but I’m saying it as a precautionary measure. However if there is a surgery we may loose the foetus therefore we need a next of kin to sign papers not holding the hospital or doctors responsible for miscarriage. Anyway Bhaiya, you please try to locate Pinky’s relatives while I call an ambulance.” Adi nodded in a daze.

Geet went near the lobby area as there was no network coverage in Adi’s cabin. Maan was with Adi trying to calm him down. Geet was trying to call ambulance but couldn’t get through and finally called the matron to send an ambulance to Khurana Constructions asap. Soon Maan joined Geet and started discussing Pinky’s condition in their medical language. Unknown to husband and wife they were centre of attention of all KC staff especially Ms. Saraswati Maheshwari (Sasha) as they were standing in centre of the KC lobby.

A young and attractive girl came near Maan and Geet and said hesitantly, “Sir and Ma’am would you like some refreshments?”

Maan turned and looked in direction of the voice and said, “Yes Pooja, can you please send 2 black coffees and a plate of vegetable sandwiches in CEO’s cabin?” Seeing the girl look awestruck, Maan introduced, “Pooja, this is my wife....”

“Yes Sir I know. CEO introduced Ma’am to all of us.”

Maan nodded in approval and said, “Geet, this is Pooja. Adi’s PA.”

Geet looked at the girl and ordered in a serious and professional tone, “Good afternoon Ms. Pooja. Ambulance will be arriving to take Miss Manchanda to the hospital. Kindly inform me when they are here.”

“Yes Doctor.”

Just then Geet’s phone rang. “Yes matron.” Geet started walking away from the lobby.

“Doctor how is the patient?” Matron said.

“Please page Vijayalakshmi Ma’am pronto. Arrange the OT. I’m bringing a female patient age 27yrs. Oxygen needed. Saline needed. Gestational age 2 weeks. Matron hurry up with the ambulance patient is critical.” Geet disconnected the phone.

Geet entered Adi’s cabin to see Adi sitting in trance and Pinky was now conscious (due to medicine (brought by Maan) administered by Geet). “Adi bhaiya and Pinky, have you located any of your relatives?”

“No Geet. So we have decided that we will get married right now.”

“How will you get a Registrar at such short notice?”

“I have already got Registered Marriage application which Pinky and I have signed. Maan and you witness it. The Registrar will meet us in the hospital.”

Maan and Geet had just finished signing as witnesses on Registered Marriage application when sirens of ambulance was heard. Pinky was wheeled in the ambulance under Geet’s supervision but Adi refused to let Geet accompany Pinky despite of Maan’s continously explaining. Understanding Adi’s emotional state, Geet with junior doctor and nurse (ambulance) connected Pinky to vital machines i.e. oxygen, drip, blood pressure monitor etc. Thereby allowing Adi to go in ambulance with Pinky. While Geet and Maan were instructing the paramedicals.

really liked all the updates...

liked the love which is between maan and geet finally return after thirteen years...

they trust each other which the best things at the moment and they can understand what the other is feeling...

i felt yash was being selfish what he did was totally wrong, its just that we hurt the people we most love...

Nice update... Adi condition was hilarious.. he fainted after hearing the news.... But took the right decision of marrying pinky immediately... Is sasha evil character here...
