What does the word ‘Alif’ mean? I tried to google it but other than it being the first letter of the Arabic Alphabet, I couldn’t get much....

EDIT: He was wrong to say that about her but she was no better assassinating his mother’s character....If that is the thought process she keeps, how is she any better than him? She is actually worse, having such a cheap thought about someone she hasn’t even met....Very disappointed in her!

its the first letter of the alphabet and the first letter of Allah ...it has spiritual symbolism attached to it basically meaning Allah comes first and everything starts from Him only. Hope you get it

Hey Everyone. Just started watching this show. 3 episodes in, pretty impressed by the feel of the show atleast. Sajal has been wonderful as always, my heart goes out to her. Her struggle kind of reminds me of Kashaf from zindagi gulzar hai. The never ending battle of finances in a middle class family is so real.

Hopefully this show gets better. The man playing Hamza's grand-dad here is adorable. I'm a bit bored(Read annoyed) by the girls in Hamza's side of the story. Like theek hai, womanizer type hai (I guess?!), but do the girls have to be so annoying?

I think Momina wasn't demeaning Husne jahan there, she was demeaning the thought process of Momin that how he always judge woman wrong, how he thinks that Husn e jahan had an affair so it means that now Momina is also having an affair. 'Tum ne har kisi ko husne jahan samaj rakha hai' here husne jahan is reffered as the wrong judged woman. As now Momina is also being wrongly judged by him. So she is blaming Momin's 'soch' not husne jahan, thats what i think.

I also tried to think in the lines that you did but in another scene with her mom when her mom chides her for referring to Husne Jahan as ‘usne’, she says respect is not anyone’s mohtaaj or some such thing...So basically Momina doesn’t respect Husne Jahan...Momin may judge his mom but he loves her and doesn’t disrespect her- in one of the beginning scenes he says to himself there is only one beautiful woman in this world when his girlfriend asks him if she was looking beautiful....
