Thank you everyone for waiting for me. Soooo sweet of you all. Thanks for the comments and sweet DMs and PMs. I really enjoyed the surprise vacation. Much needed time away. And just to make it up, I wrote up an extremely long long long update. Hopefully you guys will like it. Make sure to click the like and comment!

Chapter 91

Tom: Man khushi, you are an amazing cook. Please, please, help out your friend here.

Khushi smiled and said thanks. She looked at minta, while minta looked annoyed.

Minta: no, how about you give your recipes over to Tom. He will be doing most of the cooking.

Everyone laughed. Khushi remained mostly silent. She quietly ate and would only look up from time to time. Arnav noticed this, but didnt say anything. He looked at her and gestured to ask her what happened. She smiled and politely shook her head. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. She quietly said she was just tired. He smiled. Of course, she had been working all day, studying, cooking and what not. He knew how to cheer her up. He hand an idea. The best way to make your girl feel refreshed, or take away her fatigue is to make her feel special. That was it. Simple as that. Everyone had finished eating, and was putting their plates away.

Khushi: Coffee or tea anyone.

Everyone smiled and nodded. Khushi turned around and went towards the kitchen.

Arnav: khushi.

She turned around and looked at him. He had his arm around the back rest of the sofa. He looked at him and smiled. With his hand that was on the head of the sofa he made a fist and pointed just one finger out. She smiled and shook her head. Bit her bottom lip and turned back around.

Nadia: what was that? What is that suppose to mean?

Minta tom, and arnav started to laugh.

Minta: You will see. Just wait and watch.

Nadia looked at them with furrowed eyebrows. What was going on?

Khushi made the coffee. She looked back and forth, side to side, but wasnt able to find the tray. She looked back and saw Aranv looking at her. She gestured him to come to her. He excused himself and went to her.

Khushi: I dont know where the tray is, do you.

He shook his head and took two coffees.

Arnav: aisi day daingay. No issues.

Khushi grabbed the other two cups and followed him. Arnav went to Tom and gave him a cup. Before minta could grab a cup, Nadia came and wrapped her hands around the cup that Aranv was holding. Making sure to cover his hand with hers.

Nadia: Thanks,this smells soo good. Thanks khushi. You really are an amazing cook and everything. Full package.

Khushi just looked at her, and politely smiled. She had seen how Nadia had caressed Aranvs hand with hers. She knew the look Nadia was giving Arnav. She was a girl, and a girl best knows the eyes of another girl. She looked down and sighed. She walked up to Minta and gave her a cup. Minta looked at khushi with a raised eyebrow. Say something is what she was hinting for khushi to do. Khushi slightly shook her head. No.

Minta and Tom sat on one sofa, while Nadia sat on the other. Khushi was about to pass Arnav the cup, but stopped. She had a right over Arnav, and only she could have that right. No one else. Ever. Khushi went and politely sat on the carpet. Folding her legs onto one side. Fixed her duppata and kept her gaze down.

Nadia: Arnav,where is yours. Come and sit here.

She gestured for him to sit on the sofa with her. He smiled. He looked at khushi. He scrunched his nose and went and sat closely beside khushi one the ground. One knee was folded inwards, knee pointing towards khushi,while he folded one knee up, and made sure use his arm that was stretched out, supporting him to sit in that position, behind khushi. His other arm was streched out ontop of his knee. Khushi tilted her head and smiled. He looked at her and smiled. Nadia was confused. He was shocked that Arnav, the person who would jsut be busy with work, studying was actually going close to a girl. Khushi passed him the cup. He took the cup with the hand that was ontop of his knee. Tom noticed Nadia confused. He figured that Arnav probably forgot to tell Nadia that he had gotten engaged. Nadia had also called Tom, but spoke mostly to Arnav. She had come here when she was in a problem, so Arnav probably didnt get the chance to.

Tom: So Nadia,do you remember that one girl, or sorry, Aranvs pen pal. Virtual girlfriend, the one we all said didnt exist. Hmmm.

Nadia smiled,

Nadia: yes, how could I forget her. He was always talking to her. He never looked at anyone else. Ever. I still dont even think that she exists.

Every started laughing. Nadia seemed more confused. Khushi just sucked in her lips, blushed and looked down. Arnav passed khushi the cup, she took a sip. Nadias eyes were left wide open. Did arnav just actually share a cup of coffee with a girl.

Arnav: Wait Nadia. I .. umm. Wait. You introduced yourself to Khushi right.

Nadia nodded her head.

Arnav: Now please let me introduce you to her.

While looking down, khushi slightly turned her head towards arnav and smiled. She wanted to know how Aranv would introduce her.

Arnav: Nadia, I would like you to meet Khushi. My past....present..., and future.

Khushi smiled and kept her gaze down. That was very sweet the way that Arnav, himself, introduced her. Nadia was taking a sip of her coffee and started to cough. Her eyes will left wide open. Minta got up and got her some tissues, she gave Nadia a sarcastic smile while passing it. Nadia thanked her and took some tissues.

Nadia: Pardon me?

Arnav started to chuckle.

Arnav: Past because, Khushi was my email friend / girlfriend, She is now my fiancee, and she will become my future wife once we get married.

While looking forward he leaned over, placed his head onto her shoulder and smiled. Khushi just sighed. All of her fears were put to rest. All her fatigue was taken away and her heart was filled with love. She also rested her head against his. Tom and Minta smiled. Finally, khushi also started to become a little more physical with Arnav free infront of them. Nadia was left in shock.

Nadia: oh..wow.. umm.. congratulations. Why didnt you tell me before?

Khushi raised her head and turned to look towards aranv. Arnav hid their relationship from Nadia. She had a blank look on her face. He raised his head and sighed. He didnt realize he didnt do that.

Arnav: Actually, I was about to tell you when you came or were calling, but seeing the problems that you were in, I just didnt get a chance to. Plus, we, me and khushi had a lot of moving, studying and everything going on, so I was too busy with her.

He looked at her, his eyes showed sincerity. He wasnt lying. She looked at him,blinked reassuringly and smiled. She trusted him. She took a sip and passed him the cup. He took it and sipped some coffee.

Nadia: but still, this is something big, I mean, you should have told me. Or at least mentioned something about it. Emailed or called.

Minta: problem is Nadia, that ever since Aranv and khushi started going to the same university, Aranv sees nothing else but khushi. He knows nothing else but khushi. He is a complete lost romeo. Trust us on this. Completely Gone Case!

Tom nodded his head frantically. Arnav first looked at them with a straight face.

Tom: dont deny it man. We have a lot of stories to tell. Okay, especially the ones before or during the trips. Ahem ahem.

Arnav looked down shyly and scratched the back of his head. He sighed and Khushi also looked down and shyfully smiled. After a moment they both looked up.

Nadia: I am happy for you. Just a bit shocked. I mean. Arnav never seemed like the one to be a complete Romeo type. That is all. Emailing someone is different.

Arnav and Khushi both looked at Nadia. She seemed concerned for Arnav. Khushi looked at her eyes. Nadia was smiling, as a polite gesture, trying to make her shocked smiled seem like a surprised one. Khushi smiled, and sighed. She saw a girls heart break from the inside. She didnt feel jealous, or concerned. Because she knew that Aranv loved her and her only. But she felt bad for Nadia. She slowly lowered her gaze.

Aranv: Nadia,the thing is that, you, or anyone else for that matter of fact, wouldnt have known this... ahem.. romeo side. Because, I didnt have my juliet with me.

Khushi licked her bottom lip and tried to control the redness on her cheeks. Arnav turned his head towards her and smiled.

Tom: Man, you honestly leave no chance to flirt with her. EVER!

Minta: I know. Remember when Arnav first started trying to hit on Khushi.

Tom nodded his head. Arnav chuckled. Nadia just smiled and looked at him. She saw Aranv genuinly happy and smiling. She sighed and smiled.

Nadia: well Khushi. I have never seen Aranv this happy or content. Congratulations to the both of you. Honestly very happy for you.

Khushi looked up at her and smiled.

Khushi: thank you.

Arnav smiled and rests his head again on khushis shoulder.

Arnav: Thanks Nadia.

Everyone else spoke for a little bit more about their pasts memories. Nadia recieved a phone call and asked to be excused.

Nadia: Sorry, its my mom. I need to attend to this.

With that she left and went outside. She went outside into the garden area to get some fresh air.

Khushi got up and started to take everyones cup. Minta laughed and shook her head.

Minta: khushi. We can do this ourselves. Go and rest. You must be tired.

Khushi smiled and still took the cups. Minta just sighed and shook her head.

Tom: Umm, Minta we should be heading back out. It will get really late and we have classes tomorrow morning as well.

Minta nodded and hugged Khushi. Arnav looked at Tom with a raised eyebrow, he had no classes tomorrow morning. Tom walked up to Arnav and leaned into his shoulder. He started to whisper softly.

Tom: now you two will have some time alone. I mean to continue we you left off..Before we all came...alooooone ..

Arnav: well in that case. You might be getting late for bed.

Arnav and Tom both started to chuckle.

Minta and Tom left while khushi started to wash the dishes. Aranv closed the door and walked up to khushi. He stood behind her, and brought his arms around her and into the water.

Khushi started to giggle.

Khushi: Arnav,what are you doing? Hmm..

Arnav: Helping my beautiful fiancee. I mean helping my present and investing in my future.

Khushi smiled and shook her head. He leaned his chin onto her right shoulder.

Khushi: Aranv I thought you said you wouldnt touch me? Hmm. At that time as well,and now? What happened?

Arnav didnt know what to say. He couldnt tell her he read her diary, and nor could he say her had a right, otherwise she will figure it out.

Aranv: Yeah,about that. Khushi, I think two days is more than enough for me to be able to prove my love for you. Hmm.

Khushi just shook her head and kept on smiling.

Arnav: no seriously. You have no idea how hard it was for me. Plus with you being ... more... (he leaned into her ear and started to whisper in asoft husky voice) ... loving.. and expressive....I just couldnt help it. Kya karoon, meri Juliet hai hi aisi.

He leaned forward, closed his eyes and placed a kiss on her cheek. She sucked in her lips and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath as she felt his tender lips on his soft skin. He slowly moved his head back and placed his chin back onto her shoulder. She slowly opened her eyes.

Arnav: Khushi, voh. I .. I am sorry.

Khushi: for what?

Arnav: sorry, I should have told Nadia about our engagement. I honestly, absolutely forgot. Honestly. I never take off my ring, ever. But she came and was really worried. I didnt get the time.

Khushi: Arnav..its ok. Dont worry. I am not asking you for an explanation. Dont worry. Hmm.

She smiled, but looked down. She was hurt that he didnt, and knew he was sincere in what he was saying. But indirectly he did hurt her. She didnt want it to get to her and she didnt want to let this little mole become a hill.

Arnav: Khushi,you are ..

He was lost for words.

Khushi: yours.

His smile grew bigger as he heard her say that. She blushed and bit her bottom lip.

Arnav: acha, so, if you are mines, then that means that, I can do anything right now. Say anything, right?

Khushi sucked in her bottom lips, gulped. She knew the way Arnav was going with this. She smiled. She very slowly took her hands out of the water in the sink and splattered some water on his face. She laughed as he scrunched his face.

Khushi: koi nahin. Arnav, I need to finish cleaning this up. Phir, I have to study as well.

Aranv sighed.

Arnav: okay,let me do the dishes, and you go study.

Khushi shook her head.

Khushi: its ok. I am almost done.

Aranv moved back and started to clean up the rest of the dorm. Khushi finished the dishes and remembered something she needed to get from Minta.

Khushi: Oh I forgot I needed something from Minta. Shot. I will be right back.

Arnav: let me go. I will get it. Or do you want to go together?

Khushi: No its ok. I have my phone. And its only just a one minute thing. Dont worry :)

With that khushi left. She saw Nadia speaking to someone on the phone. She seemed to be arguing with them. Khushi approached her and was a little concerned.

Nadia: You said Arnav was forced into this relation. He doesnt seem like that to me. You lied to me. .... Of course I still love him. I always will, bu the seems happy with her. ... no .. You lied to me. You lied to me! No, I refuse to help you. I wont help you! I dont care!

She hung up the phone and sat down on the bench outside. She started to cry. Khushi was shocked. She wanted to go and console Nadia, talk to her. Tell her that her and Arnav were happy and in love. But didnt know what to say or how. She had just met her. She didnt want to pass any boundaries, nor make anything uncomfortable for her staying with them. Khushi silently went to Mintas dorm. She went and told Minta what had happened.

Minta: I was afraid of this. And who is she helping? What nonsense is this.

Khushi: Right when I thought that mines and Aranvs lives were a bit more calm,something always comes up. I dont know why Minta, but I am scared. I know Arnav is mines, and he knows it too. But, i was not jealous before. I am still not jealous. You can only be jealous of something that is now yours. He is mines, but. What do I do.

Minta: Stick to him like glue! Super glue! All the time.

Khushi: that is not possible. Come on.

Minta: Does he wear the ring>

Khushi: yes. All the time.

Minta: And yet this girl was approaching him. She must be on a mission. Hmmm. Let me think.

Khushi bent her head forward and down, she held her head with her hands. She was stressed. Exams were around the cornor and now this new problem.

Minta: Talk to him.

Khushi: I will, but, saying what. Hmm.

Minta: point.

Minta looked at khushi. Khushi pushed her head up, slid her hands back and started to make a bun with her hair.

Minta: that is it!

Minta whispered something in Khushis ear. Her eyes were left wide open.

Khushi: No. I cant. I mean. Me... Arnav. Tum pagal ho gae ho! No.

Minta: Your choice. Trust me. This is a sure shot guarentee to work!!!

Khushi was left in thought. She had to get back to the dorm before Nadia would return. She didnt want to leave her alone with Arnav in their dorm for a single bit. She ran back and noticed that Nadia was already in and talking to Arnav.

Arnav: Nadia,you take my room. Dont worry, I got the sofa outside. You are welcomed to stay here as long as you want. Stress free okay.

Aranv smiled and Nadia took two steps forward and hugged him. She closed her eyes and smiled. He didnt hug her, but put his hands behind her back on her shoulders. Just to hold on, but not to hug. Khushi gulped. “Hai Devi Maiyya, mere Arnav ki raksha karna!” She turned around and closed the door hard. Making sure to keep her back to them. She didnt want to make Aranv feel uncomfortable.

Arnan and Nadia moved back and looked towards the door. Khushi turned around saw them and smiled. A slight fake smile. Aranv noticed something in her eyes. Her eyes were moist. She was hiding something. He looked at her with concern.

Arnav: Umm, Khushi, Nadia will be staying in my room. That is fine na?

Khushi politely nodded her head. She walked passed them and went into Aranv room.Nadia looked at Khushi curisously. Why was she going to Aranvs room. Khushi went and after a little while came outside. She had Aranvs clothes for the next day, his main books for his morning classes and his laptop.

Khushi smiled and looked at him. He just smiled and shook his head. Nadia was amazed. Khushi walked by them and into her room. Arnav raised his eyebrow and looked at her in amazement. Nadias mouth was left wide open and her eyes refused to shut. Khushi came out after a little while and saw their expressions. She smiled and walked upto Aranv and Nadia.

Khushi: Aranv,it will be easier for you to get it from there right. And Nadia can easily have her privacy as well.

Aranv nodded his head. He went and stood beside her and hugged her from the side. He placed his forehead against her head. She wrapped her hands around his arm that was hugging her from the front.

Arnav looked at Nadia while keeping his head against khushis.

Arnav: How could anyone not fall in love with her. Hmm. Honestly Nadia, I am the luckiest person there can be.

Nadia gulped, gave a fake smile and nodded her head.

Khushi: I have to finish my assignment. Nadia, if you need anything, please do let me know. Okay. Nadia and khushi both exchanged smiles. Aranv moved back and khushi started to walk towards her room.

Nadia: You really are lucky Aranv. She really does love you. But, will you be able to go into her room. Oh sorry. Never mind, you guys probably.. ahem.

Aranv looked at her with a straight face. Khushis feet froze. She turned around and looked at them. Nadia really was very free with Arnav.

Arnav: No Nadia. We are engaged, not married. I am on the couch. But, I can easily go into her room and get my stuff. Hmm.

Nadia gave a small sigh of relief that didnt go unnoticed by khushi. Khushi gulped. Her heart started to beat harder, she was getting more and more worried. She turned back around and went to her room. She sat on the bed, got up, started to pace back and forth. She heard Nadia laughing loudly with Arnav. Why did she say she had to work on something, she slapped her head with her hand.

Aranv: You should go to bed, I also have to complete my paper for tomorrow. I have too much left for that. Starting to get a bit stressed because of it.

Nadia: Maybe I can help. I already took this course, remember.

Arnav chuckled.

Arnav: No its ok. If you know me, then you should know that I do my work myself. Otherwise what is the point of learning it. Right.

Nadia: You will never change. Good night. And thanks again for letting me stay over here and taking over your room.

With that Nadia left and went to the room. Arnav went over to khushis door and knocked on it. Luckily, Khushi had brought his laptop from his room.

Khushi didnt answer, so Aranv presumed she was sleeping. He slowly opened the door. He looked inside and saw Khushi quietly standing infront of the window staring at the stars. Aranv knew she was upset about something. But what. He sensed something from before, but not as much as now. Aranv closed the door behind him and went over to her. He held onto her shoulders from the back. She stayed silent and kept on staring at the stars.

Arnav smiled. He pointed towards one of the stars with his right hands finger.

Arnav: That one, that biggest star is your grandmother, who has always shown brightly in the sky.

Khushi smiled. Aranv wrapped his arms around her. She tightly hugged his arms back.

Khushi: How did you know I was looking for her?

Arnav: Because, you always look for her whenever something is bothering you. Whats wrong Khushi. I noticed it before as well, but didnt get the chance to say anything.

Khushi was silent for a bit. She didnt know what to say, and what not to. But she knew that she had to be open about this, to make sure no misundersandings arise.

Khushi: Arnav..voh. I.. Pata nahin.

Arnav: hmm. 20 questions?

Khushi smiled and nodded her head. He tightened his arms around her.

Arnav: Is it regarding us?

Khushi: yes.

Arnav was a bit taken back. She was worried about something relating to them. He thought everything was going fine.

Arnav: Is it because we are now living together?

Khushi: no

Arnav: Is it something to do with Nadia here?

Khushi silently sighed.

Khushi: No. Yes. maybe. Its not.. I am not jealous. I know you are mines. And she said she is happy for us. and she is just a good friend of yours.

Arnav: Are you ok with her living here?

Khushi: As long as you are ok with it. And I know that she needs a place. Right.

Arnav was silent.

Arnav: Should i ask her to leave. I can.

Khushi: no no. Its ok. Her staying here is not a problem at all. Its just.

Arnav slowly raised one hand and gently closed her eyes. She turned her head around and placed her arms on his chest. She turned her head to the side and placed her ear against his heart. She heard her name. She softly smiled. He wrapped his arms around her again.

Khushi: Arnav,before when we were kids, we were different. Right, I mean. We were family friends. Haina. Then I came here, and we became friends. Not just family friends anymore. Right. Remember, that angraiz ki bachi,and that picnic near the bridge area we went to with our families.That one, fine I was jealous. Because nothing was official about us na. But I knew that you wouldnt let her come near you. She did try many times, but you would always look at me, make sure I was ok. Then, we got engaged. We were officially together. I dont know, magar.

She was silent. How was she to say that she didnt like the way that Aranv and Nadia were with each other.

Arnav sighed, gently lowered his head and placed a kiss on hers. He wanted to push her chin up and look at her, reassure her that he was her only, but she wasnt done talking to him. She didnt say what was bothering her. He titled his head to the side and rested his cheek against her head.

Khushi: I am not saying kay I dont like your friendship. I am happy with all of it. I also have many male friends, and I know that its all normal and necessary for social purposes. Magar, the frankness is .. a bit. I dont know. Arnav, I am not jealous, because you can only be jealous of what you fear losing. And i know that I can never lose you. Nor will you ever lose me. Magar, ab we are..and I also know for a fact that you cannot control anyone elses actions. Its just that.. Especially if you are engaged, or officially with someone,then how can someone, no anyone be able to think that they can approach you, or get close to you. I dont know. Sorry, I am probably just being childish, or stupid. Probably just overthinking too much, or being .. I dont know. I should not have said anything.

Khushi raised her head and gently pushed her hands against him to move her self back. He refused to let her go. She was upset, because of him. He took his right hand and raised her chin up. She looked down. She had a bit of a furrow on her, she was trying to hid it by giving a small smile. But there was no way that he wouldnt notice it.

Arnav: khushi,look at me.

Khushi sighed and slowly raised her eyes to meet his gaze. He gave her a small loving smile. She smiled back.

Arnav: I am sorry, I should have told her. But i honestly forgot.

Khushi: I know.And I do believe you. But the thing is that, I dont know. Just please forget that I said anything. Please.

Arnav: no, I want to talk about this. This is bothering you, and we need to talk about it. Not until you feel better. Or are happy. Until then.

Khushi sighed and looked down again. Arnav looked at her, she was not going to talk. HE needed to reassure her that he was hers, and hers only.

Arnav: I love you, i have always loved you. And I will always love you. And no one else but you. That is all that this is Romeo knows.

Khushi gave a half smile. She still looked down at her hands that were placed on his chest. He knew she knew he loved her, but why was he still did not understand what she was upset about.

Arnav then slowly brought his right hand up, and moved the single strand of hair that was on her forehead behind her ear. He then brought his left hand up and held onto her right hand. He knew what he had to do. He knew that she knew he loved her, but maybe she just needed to feel loved. He brought her right hand up and gently placed a tender kiss on her fingers. He then slowly placed it back onto his heart. He placed his left hand ontop of her right hand.

Arnav: feel my heart beat?

She sighed and nodded.

Arnav: It only beats for you. And you only! I swear.

Khushi: I know,but then why do others try to come near it?

Arnav smiled but stopped, he saw a concern on her face. She wasnt telling him everything. He brought his right hand and held onto her the left side of her neck. He made sure to place his thumb near her jaw. Then then gently brought up his left hand and caressed the right side of her neck in the same way. She kept her gaze fixed on his heart. He pushed her head up a bit and slowly leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead. She closed her eyes. It was just his touch, his sensitivity and his love towards her that could help calm the storm that was arising in her heart and soul. He slowly moved his head back and tilted his head towards the right, leaned in and placed a kiss on her left cheek. She softly smiled. She felt a slight tickle on her soft cheeks from his stubble. He felt her smile. He moved his head back and, gently rubbed his nose across her and tilted his head towards the left. He then placed a soft tender kiss on her right cheek. She gulped. Her heart was starting to beat faster. With every touch of his, she started to feel more at ease. He left his tender lips on her soft cheek for a few moments. With every passing second, their hearts started race, but also came to more ease from their turmoil.

Arnav then slowly started to move his head back. Khushi held on more tightly to his shirt with both of her hands. Arnav was surprised. She didnt want him to move back. She wanted him closer. She opened her eyes but kept her gaze down. She was shy. She gulped. He then slowly tilted her head up using his thumbs that were caressing her jaw. She slowly raised her gaze to meet his. She looked deeply into his brown eyes. He looked into hers. She wanted him closer. Her eyes beckoned for him to be near. A small smile crept onto his lips. He looked more deeply into her eyes. He noticed a sparkle in them. He always knew how to read her eyes. And if he was not mistaken, then,did she want.. No. That was not possible. Was it? She shyfuly looked down. She knew he read her eyes. She had a small smile play on her lips. She sucked in her lips. And as her lips seductively slid out, she bit her bottom lip. His small smile grew into a big smile. He would not let this opportunity go. Ever! He slowly leaned into her face, gently rubbing his nose against her. Just playing with the tips of their noses. She gulped and sucked in her lips. She closed her eyes. He leaned to the side of her face and whispered in a soft husky voice.

Arnav: I have always read your eyes. And if I am not mistaken. You.. want..

She scrunched her face and bit her bottom lip. He gave a small chuckle.

Arnav: You want..

She gulped and closed her mouth. Kept her eyes closed and smiled.

Arnav: say it..What do you want?

She gulped. He gently slid his two hands down her neck. Making sure to slide the tips of his fingers against her soft skin. She felt a tingling sensation as his fingers moved down her arms. Have friends of opposite gender is normal and the discussion she wants to have about hugging etc is good too but this matter with nadia is different, that woman is here to break khushi-arnav's relationship and khushi knows that... It would be stupid of her to keep quiet.... What if nadia drugs him in her absence and sleeps with him.... What will she do then ??
