I think other way. Before komo1 track he was not that possessive. He wanted to pre to go away n stay safe. May b he would b happy if prerna had got married to some good guy. He might keep track prerna's whereabout. But he wouldn't hv been possessive. That was prerna made him realise n bring that possessiveness out of him staying around him.

Ofcourse after he realised that how much he possessive abt her bcom altogether diff story. 😆
