Best part of kuku scene was when kunal pull kuhu towards him and hug her

It was sweet gesture

Sometime people really need to stop interfering in other life

Mishti intention were not wrong but she really need to know when to take a step back

Kuhu anger justifiable minus slap

When kunal came to her and that moment she shared with him it gave her hope that finally kunal is accepting her

She was with him with this hope that one day kunal will love her and today she again saw that Ray of hope which she buried after Mishbir separation

And thanks to mishti action it ruined everything

Because it will hurt her family too

Abir is with mishti

I hope kunal will be with kuhu and stand with her but I doubt

It will be like he will support mishtin which will anger kuhu more and will start dhoom tanananana dere na derena

The fact that Abir's idea did *not* work for Kunal, and that in the end, Kunal just used it to give Kuhu some much needed relief (his face when she relaxed from his massage!), and to lure her outside. It kind of felt like once he had Kuhu alone, he knew *exactly* what to do. smiley43 I am into this take-charge Kunal and that is how I read his steady expressions. He was done playing around and ready to come straight to the point. They've always been the blunt, straightforward couple and they've always communicated through touch, so the way that whole moment unfurled, with Jugnu discreetly adding just a touch of extra glamour felt absolutely perfect. It's really beautiful how well these two have gotten to know each other, and how much they've become a unit through all the ups and downs of their family drama.

That detail of how he pulled her into the hug by wrapping her arms around him was smiley42

Rather than an "all is forgiven" moment for Kuhu, I saw it as more as an, "okay, the divorce is definitely not happening" moment. She needed something that grand and obvious to hear that from him because he had done such a good job of convincing her that he didn't want her or the marriage. Kuhu has always preferred to deal with her problems and her marriage in private (her no drama policy). She was putting off telling her family because she was holding out hope that Kunal would come around and decide to give this marriage a chance, so she could spare both of their families the heartache and because for her, marriage is serious business. I have no doubt that if the divorce papers weren't leaked by Mishti and Jasmeet, Kuhu would have taken Kunal to task in private (as she has done since day one of the marriage) and they would have had a more gradual journey towards love and trust within the four walls of their bedroom.

That would have been Kuhu's ideal outcome, and I think Kunal's as well, since both of them share a mutual aversion to drama, but alas! When do these two ever get their ideal outcome?

About the cross-dressing, it was damn stupid and quite pointless but I don't think it was offensive perse. Abir and Kunal were dressed up as women, which is really not much different from Mishti stealing and wearing Jugnu's clothes. My question is why they needed to wear all that make-up when they were odhofying the ghungat the whole time. Anyway, I'm just going to try and forget that whole thing happened -- it wasn't crossing any PC lines technically but it was still cringy AF. Kunal's reactions to the whole thing were on point! smiley44

Oh yes! So glad that Abir's plan did not work for Kunal because it truly shows how different both of them are. Also, I think it was a good learning point for Kunal that he doesn't need to say anything super romantic to Kuhu like a shayari or something for her to accept him. He just needs to be himself and be truthful to her.

What is so underrated and specific to KuKu is how soft their physical gestures are when they're trying to make an effort for each other, kind of like giving each other the time to process what is happening. It may just be because of Ritvik and Kaveri's personal equation with each other but for whatever reason it may be, I adore itsmiley42.

It's kind of weird that they prefer to have straight forward talks but their scenes are so layered🤯

Drama aversion - 100%. As Mishti rightly said, jahaan wo hoti hai, wahaan daily soap drama hota hi hai.

Coming to the cross-dressing point, it was not offensive on-screen. But to use this as a humour tactic is what is offensive because there are so many people who have to suffer for basic human rights or even to be treated as human beings just because they choose to dress a certain way or to accept their reality. I am glad that Kunal wasn't given many dialogues in this scene otherwise it would ruined the episode more for me. But the line that hit the most was delivered by him - "Inn kapdo me to mai khud ko bhi bhulta jaa raha hu" which is ironic in itself.

I don't think simply having women exist at the forefront is empowering. @bold: And that's why. The content is still regressive.

Completely agree with what Snow and Sam discussed. Just because women are being shown at the forefront doesn't mean you have adopted "Nayi soch" as SP proudly promotes. Nayi soch needs to be shown through the content that is being put out too.

I don't remember seeing any shows throughout my childhood or teenage years that portrayed women as strong characters who supported each other. The closest I came was watching a show called "Nisha aur uske cousins". That was the last show before YRHPK for which I actually put in the effort to watch daily episodes. It was such a good show. I wish it could have survived for longer. Anyhow, this show gave me Meenu and Parul and that is the only positive left for Meenu as of now.

So now that I've got my keyboard I can give my 2 cents.

I never thought the cross-dressing was offensive but I also see the point everyone is making.

I was irate when I watched Mishti look through Kuhu's stuff. She had absolutely no right to poke her nose in! Kuhu has always asked Mishti to stay out of her business and both have somewhat maintained that; Mishti once assured her that she won't interfere and had also once said the same to Kuhu. After the Nishant fiasco, Kuhu was perfectly clear that she didn't want Mishti's help or support but Mishti just needs to be 'mahaan'! Aur ab rone beth jayegi. She'll start feeling sorry for herself 🤢. People like her piss me right off. They just can't seem to understand that not everyone in the world has to like them. Some people just won't like you but, guess what, that's frickin' life! Deal with it! I've been pissed with Kuhu for unneccesarily being rude to Mishti and blaming her for everything all the time but today I'm completely on her side here.

I would have reacted similarly if I was in Kuhu's position. I wouldn't have gotten physical (depends on how big the secret was i guess 😉 jk) but i'd be swearing like a sailer for sure!

Some people bring out the worst in you. Until Kuhu and Mishti can find a middle ground, they shouldn't be living under one roof. Otherwise they're all just inviting problems.

Personally I'd say the slap was in a fit of rage but with the way the show is going the cv's are going to nichor the drama out of it till the point Kuhu will start to wear thick eyeliner 😉😆 .

Koi Jasmeet ko parcel karo London yaar! Khud toh akal hai nahin she's ordering Mishti to not get married. I mean, who goes running like a 2 yr old with a serious issue like that.

Abir is starting to tick me off too. He so bloody clueless! Like everyone knows the sisters don't get along so what the hell is he playing at trying to use her help. And insetad of coming up with these stupid ideas why doesn't he build Kunal's confidence to speak to Kuhu his own way.

_ _ _

I can't even talk about that particular scenesmiley43...I go weak at the knees thinking out it...😆.

But it got me worried that Kuhu will completely surrender to Kunal. I think she needs to take it slow this time.

_ _ _

I'm going to be super pissed if Mishti and Abir stop their wedding to 'help' KuKu out. Aur naya natak inka.

_ _ _

Gosh! I sound more annoyed than I feel right now. The *ahem* scene has me in a trance right now. I'll survive the weekend, I think.

@bold, yes Mishti needs to stop, when people tell her not to meddle especially if its Kuhu.

@bold 2- Kuhu uses her bitter words as a weapon to keep Mishti away, it just seems Mishti doesnt get it. What else can Kuhu do she cant force Mishti our of the house and now finally when she is married and away, Mishti is coming in as her sister in law. Kuhu finally growed in Rajvansh household because she didnt have to be around Mishti and now that Mishti is becoming the new special bahu, It puts Kuhu back in her past.

@bold 3 Yes with that one hug, Kuhu realized things would be okay, Kunal still has the same effect on her. The hug was amazing, Kunal pulling her towards him makes me think that its now Kunal's turn to fall head over heels. Since KuKu didnt get to talk, we can still hope for a ILU scene from them.

I really like Kuhu's idea of #keepitseparate, writers should too keep KuKu and Mishbir separate, there are other ways to bring MishKu closer rather than making one negative and the other one Mahaan. I would prefer Kunal becoming a ghar jamai to Maheswaris. A better storyline would be Kuhu moving back into her house, Kunal refusing to sign the divorce papers, getting an extension for summons and moving in as a ghar jamai to manofy his Kuhu. This will give MishKu some separation from each other and Mishti can be shown as fitting in as a bahu and maybe understanding the dynamics between Abir and his mom.

Re. empowerment and daily soaps: I do think representation is powerful, even when it's ideologically super iffy, and I think it was a (diabolically) genius move by Ekta to identify that this is content Indian women relate to and consume. She essentially discovered and catered to an entirely unserved audience. To me that is the more urgent and important conversation -- why is this what they want to watch and how do we change that?

On this show specifically (as in a lot of mainstream shows), I think it's really interesting that all the examples of female solidarity are positioned in characters who range from superficial and silly to openly antagonistic -- Jasmeet, Varsha and their concern for Kuhu; Meenu and Parul; Kuhu and Nidhi mami. It becomes dangerously easy to ask if they are in fact trying to villainise female solidarity itself. The one saving grace was that they kept Baba negative and validated BB and Parul's relationship. It's the little things that show glimmers of hope!

Re. cross-dressing: @aqua, I totally see your point about using this for humour. It was definitely done in poor taste and it's about time we moved past this kind of humour and start taking queer rights seriously.

If you look at the BTS or recent interview she says that, now its difficult for her family to give Kunal another chance. In one of the videos both BP and Shaurya dont want Kuhu to back to Rajvansh house. Despite having a rocky relationship, Kuhu still had hope that Kunal might give their marriage a second chance, but if the divorce comes out in the open, her family will not take it well and that is exactly what happened.

This is exactly Kuhu's point. In this family, if you don't handle your problems yourself, the men swoop in and thopofy sweeping, often hasty solutions on you. She has had this happen once before when BP wanted her to meet another family the day after she confessed to being in love with Kunal, and even worse, she just watched Mishti and Nishant go through hell because Mishti's break-up and her efforts with Abir were so public.

That is why she has been so secretive, why she had a whole alternative route planned (with her career) even if Kunal didn't come around. She has seen enough not to want to be emotionally or financial dependent on her maika. And now? Her worst nightmares are coming true -- she not only lost the opportunity to make it right without having to hurt anyone, she also lost the control over her narrative, the choice of how to break the news to her family.

I am going to hazard a wild guess that she would not have chosen a family function to drop that bomb. 🤔
