Majority of the people have not commented on the her looks but rather the way she mouthed that dialogue. It was HORRIBLE. I hope you also watched the part where she said that she didn't see the monitor and Imitiaz approved that scene (indirectly passing the blame onto Imtiaz). She contradicts herself multiple times. On one hand, she calls all criticism as trolling and she won't pay attention to them. On the other hand, she says she will learn how to handle trolling better and improve. She also conveniently called ALL criticism as trolling. Again, Sara is one of the few star kids who has gotten the least negativity because she wasn't like an Alia or Ananya who barely finished school and started acting so were never PR ready and revealed their bimbo entitled side early on and got trolled. Sara was prepared, a little more mature and knew exactly what to say from the start. A girl who barely got any criticism got it for her ACTING. People are not criticising her looks or her as a person but her ACTING. Most people are leaving positive comments on her interviews still. The fact that she put the ENTIRE thing on her looks and also called it trolling just shows that she isn't genuine. Although I find her an average to below average performer, she did well in the last scene of Kedarnath in particular. In that scene, she was not looking good. No makeup, wet and rough look. Still, she performed well in that particular scene. It's not about the look. Audience is not a bunch of fools to do 'ji huzoori' of any shit they through at us. Her rant about Kartik was also so stupid when SHE is the root cause of creating this entire public showmance.

I believe the whole trailer incident is something she can learn a lot from, she needs to always strive to be a better actor as this is the only criteria people at the end of the day will judge her based on if she really wants to make it and yes she has the potential

Hope she works hard on her acting, choose great roles and great projects and work with good directors

I kinda find it amusing that Anupama asked Sara about the trailer when the movie is not out yet and I believe Anupama been in the industry long enough and has seen too much bad acting like all of us.....the question honestly should be directed to Imtiaz Ali (why on earth remake your own movie?) but I will wait till I watched the whole movie before saying more...

Just the other day someone her was discussing Taapsee acting and why she always acts the same in all her movies which I agree with

So the par is low in Hindi cinema at the moment, we don't have talented actors like Joaquin or Meryl and sadly we will never have the way things are going and we will keep seeing endless polls asking whos the better actor between Ranveer and Ranbir, Alia and Deep when they are all the same with average and even below average talent

Then why a director like Imtiaz whos's not a newbie director added this shot in the trailer?....If I was the director I would have said cut in the middle of the shoot and did as many retakes until Sara got the dialogue right given she is a newcomer...why is the question? was his intention for the scene to be comical or what? isn't the director's job to know what is bad acting from good acting and mentor his actors even so if they are new

she said that trolling on other things didn't bother her but the acting criticism did hurt, because that is her job. she went on to say that she will pay heed to the advice and learn and grow from it, and didn't dismiss it. she said that everyone is entitled to their opinions and she respects every opinions, learn and improve.

so that is a very mature stance to take when you are only a few movies old.

I agree lol why the close up and then her bunny teeth didn’t help 😆

But this whole fuss over just one line is kinda like making a mountain out of a molehill 😆

Loved her usual inbuilt honesty, maturity & wonderful intelligence...

Such a layered thinking she is blessed with.

Sara spoke so well and so candidly.....acknowledged that she felt hurt cuz it was her acting being trolled and then she tried to analyze what went wrong......I always love the honesty with which she speaks. She noted that it wasn't a pretty shot....she's looking bad in it and the audience doesn't have context as we discussed so they reacted accordingly. She also said they weren't allowed to look at the monitors when they were shooting this scene so she didn't know then how it was looking.....What's important is that realizes she can learn from this and grow.
