I agree with the promotional gimmicks they are really really irritating.
@bold it has become a trend worldwide. You can pick any international talent reality show, this is common over there as well. People with sob stories get a pass.
I read a comment on YT, under AGT audition video. Someone said, "The guy deserved a golden buzzer but guess what he never suffered from cancer." And I have been following AGT, BGT, The Voice(US/UK), X-factor for so long now and I can vouch for that people with sob stories have an upper hand over others, not only in India but all around the globe.

I swear today's episode was the worst so had to rant it out somewhere...it was such an interesting episode challenge wise (making 100 dishes of north south east west india) and creating one of Vikas's signature dish using lotus flower but throughout the show the contestants and judges kept on talking about amul, like after every five minutes there was an Amul dialogue 🙈
