You cry nepotism in BW but nepotism in judiciary is far worse. And you know politicians are not the one who are suffering from this, it is common junta who is really victim. Our judiciary is equally corrupt. NJAC is not giving power to politicians. It will regulate it in better way. These judges are far more corrupt. Atleast politicians ke karnaame report toh kiye jaate h, judges ke against bolo koi, contempt of court daal ke puri zindagi haraam na kar de toh dekho. Upar se sab badiya lagta h. Andar se journalists, judiciary, and politicians are equally corrupt.

I don't deny that there's corruption in the judiciary. Or that there's an urgent need for more judges. However in my opinion NJAC is not the solution simply because no political party can be trusted to keep from interfering. Would any criminal politicians even be sentenced? The impartiality of the Judiciary would be lost.I'd rather have fewer judges rather than political appointees any day. Or any other form of interference. Remember the governmental shenanigans to keep out Justice K.M Joseph from being appointed as a Supreme Court Judge. You can expect that and more political interference if the Judiciary's powers are curtailed. As for nepotism , is there any profession without it? Every society tries to push the newcomers out and keep the plum positions for their own offspring. You learn to work the system and better your position (if possible) rather than whine about it. Or keep your tears to the minimum and move on.Anybody who's been on the other end knows how heartbreaking it is. What's more common is that the so-called 'self-made' men and women become part of the system and the cycle goes on.

NJAC constitution is three judges, PM, and two eminent persons nominated by CJI, PM, Leader of opposition. It does not seem like political parties will have more power.

Also nepotism in judiciary is far worse becoz of the effect of vacancies. They are not even taking suggestions of conducting all india judicial exam for lower courts becoz high court judges refuse to give up their power to appoint these judges. Also they appoint any aira gaira in high courts leaving many better judges at lower courts. We need more systematic approach when it comes to filling vacancies. The indirect impact of vacancies and nepotism in judiciary is far worse than it can be seen. The crores of cases are pending and their effect is that we have a serious law and order problem. Lets take Nirbhaya case, with all evidences and everything, it took seven years for carrying out their punishment and that is also when it was fast tracked. A small property dispute takes 12 to 15 years for judgement. It makes people run away from courts. Even the live witness forget what happened due to all these delays.

That's why any law reform becomes obsolete becoz it doesnt matter if the criminals are getting sentenced 10 years imprisonment or life sentence. 10-20 saal baad wo judgement ayega toh bhi kya fayda. Tab tak toh ladne wala khud ho thak jayega.

Too bad for those disappointed with this judgement, there is a real court out there which decided on the basis of evidence unlike some biased forum people who already declared Zaira's molestation as nothing but publicity just because she is a young girl from kashmir .

Really feel sorry for the family of people who make assumptions based on one or two sentences and blast at the person...

And what's so wrong with judges electing judges? Or do you want government appointing their favorites as they do with every other PSU? All the political parties would heartily support your idea. But as far as the common man is concerned, judiciary is the last straw. There might have been corruption and miscarriages of justice. But as a whole it's the least corrupted of all the 3 estates.

You know nothing. NJAC would also entail a national exam for appointment as judges. Listen my family regularly deals with lawyers and judges. You're lucky if you haven't had the misfortune. But then be careful what you wish for.

And judiciary is the most corrupt institution in India. Like i mentioned SC bar council was receiving foreign funding openly. But I doubt MSM brainwashed "woke" people can gauge the implications of any of that.

Imagine celebrating a body that delivers justice in 30-40 years on average...🤪But you can't think at all, can you?
