PART 40:
FLASHBACK:
Ammo entered into the room to call roli for a function.
"roli beta...come! Everyone is waiting for you!' informed ammo walking towards her. Ammo helped roli to stand up...
"shall we go?' asks ammo.
"No i can't...' rejected roli was adjusting her dupatta to hide her baby bump.
"Don't worry roli! There is no strangers in the hall' informed ammo.
"Thank god' sighed roli,
"Are you sure? No one will be there right?' queried roli for a confirmation.
"Yes!...'
"Then Let's go!...' roli said and started walking with ammo who was holding her shoulders carefully.
IN HALL, everyone were waiting for roli and ammo whilst sid was standing and leaning in the wall with a crossed arms.
"Bhabhi!' exclaimed surbhi. Sid raised his head and spotted his child's mother. The sindoor in her forehead caught his attention making him smile. MJ went near roli,...
"My bahu is so beautiful!' praised her put a black dot behind her left ear.
"I know!' roli's attitude tone fading sid's smile away.
"OK bahu come! Siddhant beta come' MJ said headed towards matarani's statue.
"First let's do pooja to matarani!' says MJ took a aarti plate in her hand and started the pooja with a bhajan. She gave the plate to her bahu uma first....then uma gave the plate to swara...and it's time for rosid.
Swara forwarded the plate in front of roli. Sid came near roli and waiting for her to take it...
"Oh please keep these god, pooja, bhajan with you!...I have no believe in all these Superstitious things' says roli pushed the plate to swara again shocking everyone.
Roli saw everyone who were watching her without showing any expression in their's face.
"What? Why you people are giving me such a look?' she confused.
"Nothing...Nothing..roli come..it's time for your godh bharai' ammo took roli away from the fierce MJ as she knew how much MJ gives important to the God!
Ammo made roli to sit in the chair which was special arranged for her.
ROLI'S GODH BHARAI HAS STARTED:
MJ came near roli...she took a small amount of turmeric mixture in her hand and applied it in her cheeks then made her wear colourful bangles in her both hands. Roli smiles inside in excitement as soon as she heard a sound of the bangles. MJ took a pinch of sindoor then filled roli's forehead and blessed her placing her right hand in roli's head. She gave a traditional bhardwaj's bangle to roli as a gift. After MJ everyone came and blessed roli&baby wholeheartedly and gave her gifts.
"Siddhant' MJ called him who was watching the entire scene with a smile in his face. He stepped near roli and found the mangalsutra in her neck was missing. This pricked his heart,
Sid applied turmeric in her cheeks and made her wear a bunch of bangles in her both hands.
His hand began to tremble as uma forwarded him a sindoor. He saw roli who was glaring at him.
"what happened siddhant?' MJ queried as she found him staring the sindoor.
"Nothing mausi ji!' said him then took a pinch of vermillion in his fingers tip and filled roli's forehead.
With a welled up eyes..he pecked her forehead and prayed a second for his child and his roli. He tries to move...
"Arrey wait! wait bhaiya!...where are you going without giving gift to bhabhi?' surbhi stopped him making others smile.
"Her gift will come in 3 days' he said in a feeble tone. Roli gave him a confused look...She opened her mouth to ask him what it is...but before that, sid moved from that place.
ROSID'S ROOM:
Roli was standing in front of the mirror wiping the vermillion which was adoring her forehead with a tissue.
"Where is my mother's mangalsutra?'
Roli heard a voice from her back...She has spotted sid through the mirror.
"where is it?' he asked controlling his tears. Without turning on his side,
"Oh that...I don't like that CHAIN'S model...boring and old model (her words were breaking his heart) so I just threw it out' said roli shocking sid. A painful tears started scrolling in his cheeks.
It was his mother's last gift...He can't get that precious gift even if he wants to....
Roli turned on his side as she found him who was standing like a statue without responding anything. Sid took a back steps shaking his head cryingly. He couldn't speak a single word as his heart was aching like anything while roli saw an unbreakable pain his eyes.
Sid rushed out and started running towards the place where she threw his mother's gift.
AFTER AN HOUR......
Sid fell down in his knees and started crying aloud covering his face with his palms as he couldn't find the mangalsutra.
"I'm sorry maa! I'm sorryyy' he sobs badly.
ROSID'S ROOM:
Roli was laying down in the bed and waiting for sid to come.
"Godd!..don't know why i'm waiting for him' she asked herself in an irritating tone. Finally her waiting has come to an end.
Sid entered into the room but he didn't try to look at her. He sat on the floor then started picking the black beads up one by one controlling his tears to the maximum. He put the beads in a box and placed it in his wardrobe
He went near the bed then took his blanket and pillow his hands confusing her.
"Where are you going?' enquired her but didn't get a answer from him. Sid headed towards the sofa then laid down it....
"stupid' she gritted her teeth.
MID NIGHT:
Sid heard a feeble tone of crying. He opened his eyes and saw roli who was crying holding her foot. He got down from the sofa then went near her...
Roli raised her head...
"It's paining' informed roli with a tears pointing her swollen legs. Sid saw it then moved inside the washroom....
A while later,
Sid came out from the washroom with a hot water and towel. He sat in the bed and took her both legs in his lap...
"You sleep!' he said without giving her a look. Roli leaned on the bed wiping her tears while sid started massaging her swollen foot.
After few minutes,
Sid lifted his and found her sleeping peacefully. He dropped her legs down then went inside the washroom with that hot water tub. He came out and found her was crying again sitting in the bed. He went near her again...
"Couldn't sleep! It's paining so much' weeps her.
"Sleep!'
Says him took her legs again and started pressing it.
MORNING:
Roli opened her eyes....and widened her eyes in surprise as she saw sid was still pressing her legs with a yawn. Sid saw her and found her normal. He dropped her legs down carefully then got down from the bed.
"Ishh' he hissed slowly touching his back as it's aching like anything.
"Siddhant? Siddhant?' rosid heard a voice. Sid went near the door and opened it. He saw ammo,
"Ammo?..'
"Beta...give her a bath' says her gave him a bowlful of oil. He nodded his head. He closed the door...
Roli is in the bathtub enjoying sid's heavenly massage...she saw him yawning continously and his red eyes...roli noticed his avoiding look and his eyes were didn't reflect any love for her. They didn't share a pretty smooch like every week they do.
Roli walked out of the washroom with a wrapped towel around her. Sid made her sit in the bed then started drying her wet hairs. She stopped him by holding his hand. Roli pulled him and made him sit beside her then pushed her in the bed...
"What.. (sid tries to get up)'
"Shh..sleep! sleep!' she patted his head...
"No need!' he removed her hand from his forehead.
"Please! Please! Sleep! Sleep!' she pleased and runs her fingers into his hairs. His sleep eyelids has closed automatically unknown to himself whilst roli got confused thinking about her own action.
She slowly placed her head in his chest and caressed his hairs. After a few minutes,
Roli saw him sleeping like a small baby.....she tries to move,
"Please maa...don't go!' mumbled sid in a crying tone. His crying tone crushed her heart....
"I didn't go anywhere!' she spoke laid down beside him and ruffled his hairs.
IN HALL:
Roli slowly descending in the stairs holding the railings.
"Roli beta...what is this? You should call someone right?' ammo reached roli and helped her to descend in the stairs.
"Where is siddhant?' she asked.
"Sleeping!' said her.
"Sleeping? But morning I saw him when i...'
"Actually, he didn't sleep well last night' says her with a breath. Uma smirked,
"What? He didn't sleep well?...Roliii! This is bad roli!..you both should be away from each other as it is your 7th month, right?' laughed uma making others to chuckle at roli. Roli look at ammo who was laughing silently. She raised her eyebrows at ammo with a so many queries in her face.
"Nothing beta..come breakfast is ready!' says ammo took roli away from the naughty people.
AFTERNOON:
Siddhant was crying in happiness and buzzing looking at his cute baby's movement in the Ultrasound monitor while roli watches him without blinking her eyes.
Roshni moves the probe (transducer) on roli's tummy.
"Baby is so healthy siddhant..' said her. Sid shakes his head with a smile and welled up eyes. He caressed the monitor,
"My son's so cute!'
"SON?' roli&roshni asked together.
"Yes..My son' he says with a voice full of rights.
"how do you know? I didn't tell you anything about the baby's gender...'
"But I know!...this is my son!..Moreover i want a baby boy only' says him admiring his child.
"but why?...Usually a father wants a girl child, right?' roshni queried. Sid turned on roshni's side,
"Raising a baby girl without her mother will be more difficult than raising a baby boy..'
"What? Without her mother?' spoke roli finally.
"As you wish, I will take the baby away from you once you give birth' he informed shocking roli and roshni.
"Are you mad siddhant?' annoyed roshni.
"I've already made the decision' Said him determinedly. Sid caressed the monitor again then moved out of the room.
"roli you don't worry...'
"Why should I worry? This is what I want' said roli simply but inside..she feels pain in heart.
EVENING:
sid reached Hall with his bag...
"Where are you going siddhant?' MJ asked who was sitting with everyone in the hall having coffee.
"Mumbai mausi ji!...' informed him.
"What mumbai? Travelling at this time isn't safe for roli siddhant?' annoyed MJ.
"When did I say I would take her with me?...she'll be with you only!...I'm just going there for two weeks' said him.
"But...'
"Mausi ji please it's a important work! Pleaseee' he pleased cutely. MJ smiled and accepted finally.
He took sana in his arms from the cradle which was in the hall.
"Bye darling!...chachu gonna miss you cutie' says him in a sad tone and kissed her forehead. Sana smiled at sid shaking her body. Sid gave her to sanskar....and walked out of house after waving his hand at everyone.
LATE EVENING:
Roli opened her eyes from her deep sleep. She yawned tapping her mouth...
She sat on the bed touching her belly...
"Siddhant?' called her lazily.
"Siddhant?..Siddhant?' she called again.
"Where is your dad went?' she asked looking at her belly then got down.
"Ammo?....' called roli from the upstair.
"Roli? What beta?' replied ammo from the hall.
"Where is siddhant?...I..'
"Siddhant? He has gone to Mumbai (roli shocked)..didn't he tell you?' questioned ammo.
"ye...yeah! He told me' lied her went inside her room.
"thank god...he went! Now I'll be happy without his hassle' says her but her tone reflects her sadness.
NIGHT:
Roli is in the bed staring the Ceiling caressing Shiroo.
"Uff! Stop it roli! Sleep..why are you thinking about that stupid?' she annoyed. She got up then sat on the bed leaning on the headboard without disturbing the sleeping roshni. Roli placed her hand above her belly,
"missing your father's story?' asked her.
Her baby kicked her firmly like yes. Roli pouted her lips,
"Who told him to go there..stupid!...ouch' hissed her closing her eyes as the baby has kicked her this time little harder than before. She opened her eyes,
"oh you got angry?....Ja! Go to your dad' she turned her face against. She feels a movement inside her tummy like the baby snuggling to her. She felt like the baby was asking sorry to her. A big smile crept over roli's lips....
"Ok...now go and sleep!...I will tell you a story' speaks her then started telling story to her baby.
2 DAYS HAVE PASSED.
Roli's missing feeling has increased minute by minute.
She was sitting with everyone in hall drinking her morning coffee and reading newspaper. Her mouth went wife as soon as she spotted the news.
"How?..How is this happened?' she jumps in excitement looking at her position in 3rd place in the top 10 list of the best business people list. Everyone gave her a confused look.
"Thank god!...' she kissed the paper...MJ furrows her eyebrows
"Is that true? Did Mr. Siddhant bhardwaj transferred the maximum amount to save Ms. Roli diwedi's company from collapse?' she read the headlines and shocked. She remembered something,
***Her gift will come in 3 days***
She saw sid's position...it's 7th.
"Your father's so good!' mumbles roli to herself with a smile.
A MONTH HAVE PASSED.
Roli s in her first week of her 9th month.
Siddhant still didn't return back to pune as he was held up in his office work and worked hard to set back everything normal again. He didn't celebrate his favourite festival diwali with his family members this year because of his hectic work.
MID NIGHT:
Roli felt a continuous kicks in her belly.
"What yaar?' asked her in a sleepy tone without opening her eyes. She placed her hand in belly but it landed in something..something like hair. She opened her eyes in all sudden,.....
And spotted the father of her child was laying beside her embracing to her baby bump circling his hands around her waist.
"Siddhant?' roli smiles widely.
"When did you come yaar?' asks her hiding her happiness.
"missed you so much baccha!' he kissed his child then got down from the bed and walked towards the sofa upsetting roli.
"Now your company is in 3rd position!'
"tell me siddhant when did you come?' she asked again as he didn't give a damn look at her.
"Good night' he laid down on the sofa turning against her.
"Why are you not talking to me like early siddhant?' she asked gulping the lump as because his silence was killing her so much.
NEXT DAY MORNING:
"Really?' MJ and ammo asked with a smile.
"Yeah! Yeah! Don't know how the fighters turned into lovers' smiles sid chewing the food.
"Is he perfect for our naina?' MJ enquired.
"Of course mausi ji!...you can't find a perfect boy like him for our naina' he gave a certificate to his friend.
"Then I will talk about her marriage to naren tomorrow itself' MJ said. Sid smiled nodding his head.
"And siddhant beta....tonight there is a special pooja in our temple'
"For what mausi ji?' asked him.
"the new year is about to start from tomorrow naa beta..' mausi ji stated.
"What about roli?..it's not safe....'
"Beta...let be her in home..you pray for her and baby too! It's good siddhant' mausi ji placed her hand in his shoulder as she found his face was fully filled with hesitation.
"Ok!' he accepted finally.
"Roli?....what is this beta?' shouts ammo rushed near roli who was descending in the stairs placing her hand in her 9 months belly. Everyone turned on her side. Sid left the food then rushed near and helped her to come down.
"How many times should I tell you don't come down through the stairs without someone's help?...' scolded ammo with a care.
Sid made her sit in the sofa...
"What can I do? I'm feeling bored in room alone' she pouted her lips. Sid gave her water as she was breathing heavily. He found her normal then went back to his food.
NIGHT 10 O'CLOCK:
Siddhant was sitting in the sofa rubbing his forehead.
"siddhant you ready?' asked ammo entering inside his room.
"Siddhant?' she went near him and touched his shoulder. He raised his head.
"Ammo?' he sat in the sofa well.
"What happened beta? Why are you looking so...'
"I don't know ammo! I don't know! I feel like something bad going to be happen!' he revealed his fear to her covering his face with his palms.
"Siddhant?'
"I know it's a matter of an hour! The temple is just a walking distance only, But still...' he stopped after hearing the door opening sound. Roli came out from the washroom wiping her face.
"are you going anywhere?' enquired her as she found him in all dressed up.
"yeah beta...Temple..will be back in an hour!' informed ammo.
"and roshni will be with you' said her.
"Siddhant! Siddhant!' MJ called him from the downstairs.
"Siddhant?' ammo called him. He got up from the sofa...
"Careful!' Said him looked into her eyes. She nodded her head unknown to herself.
TEMPLE:
Sid and everyone got down from the car and started walking towards the temple.
IN HOME:
ROSID'S ROOM:
Roli was playing with shiroo whilst roshni reading a magazine sitting in the bed. Roli took a breath and dropped shiroo down. She slowly got up and started walking out...
"Where are you going roli?' questioned roshni.
"For walk yaar! Feeling so bored' annoyed roli.
"OK but don't use stairs! Call me if you want to go down'
"Uff! OK my dear doctor' says her rolling her eye balls as she was fed up with roshni's continuous instructions.
She came out from the room and started walking in the corridor.
Siddhant was praying in front of the God for his child and roli's wellness joining his hands. His heart started beating fast and he sweating badly.
Roli held the railings carefully and slowly descending in the steps.
"AHHHHH'
Screamed roli rolling in the steps.
"ROLI' sid startled and opened his eyes.
"Roliiii' shouted roshni looking at roli who screaming in pain laying down in the floor between the pool of blood.
"I gotta go! I gotta go' mumbled started running towards his car without caring for mausi ji's call.
END OF FLASHBACK. PRESENT:
"NOOO'
Shouted sid sat on the bed with a heavy breath. Roli raised her head from rohan's shoulder after hearing his loud noise.
"Siddhant! Siddhant!' roli called then went near him. She sat beside him,
"Siddhant what happened yaar?' she cupped his face. He saw roli,
"What hap....' her words were went incomplete as sid pulled her for a bone crushed hug.
"You ok! You ok!' mumbled him in her ears clutching her back.
Roli caressed his back with a confused face.
