Chapter71

Khushi slowly and gently placed her hands on his shoulders from the back. Very slowly she slid her arms more front and slid them across the front of his chest. She leaned in and gently placed her head against his. She quietly whispered.

Khushi: Naraz ho?

Arnav: hmmm.

Khushi: Sorry. I couldnt say no to them.

Arnav: yes you could have.

She looked down at him, and slowly raised his chin with one of her hands. His head was now leaning back and he looked directly up to her. She smiled and placed a gently soft kiss on his forehead. She closed her eyes and he closed his. Her long silky strands of hair flowed down the side of his face. She left her tender lips there for a few moments. She then slowly lifted her lips and softly whispered,

Khushi: sorry.

Arnav opened his eyes and sighed. He grabbed her hand and led her to come and sit down beside him. She came and sat right beside him. He wrapped one arm around her from the back, while the other one held onto her hand. She pulled her hand away and wrapped her arms around him, giving him a tight hug. He hugged her back. They needed this time alone for themselves. She folded her legs up on the other side and snuggled more into him. He rested his head against hers.

Khushi: sorry, really am. Its just that having the siblings around makes it a bit more... Uncomfortable. I mean, this isnt done in our culture or homes right.

Arnav: And minta and tom were different, right.

Khushi: hmm.. But even infront of them.

Arnav chuckled.

Arnav: It is this adaa of yours that i fell in love with first, you know that.

She smiled and just left one of her arms across aranv from the front and sat a bit more up. She then rested her head onto his shoulder and he just wrapped his one arm around her from the back.

Arnav: I thought you were sleeping. I picked you up and put you upstairs.

Khushi: actually i wasnt sleeping. I kept my eyes closed so everyone else would also start wanting to go to sleep. She giggled and he softly chuckled.

Khushi: what did you have planned for before.

Arnav: nothing, just a walk, alone.

They both smiled.

Khushi: you want to watch a movie or something. Iknow everyone will be sleeping. so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem.

Aranv put on a movie on his laptop. Khushi started to feel a bit cold and arnav felt her arms get a bit cooler.

Aranv: i will be back. Khushi got up and arnav went upstairs to grab a blanket.

He sat down the same way as before, just this time he made sure to put the blanket on top of him and khushi. Both of them snuggled in together and didnt even realize that they both fell asleep. Arnavs laptop fell to the ground.

It was early morning, when They both started to wake up. They both slowly started open their eyes and stretched their arms. They then noticed that they slept on the sofa all night. They looked at each other and smiled.

Arnav: Good morning, he said in a soft husky voice.

Khushi: good morning.

Akash: GOOOODDDDD MORNNNIGGGGGG..

Both aranv and khushi sat up straight and their eyes flung open. They looked at akash. Khushi looked down and started to find and fix her duappata. She then immediatly got out of the blanket and ran upstairs. She was a little embaressed to see anyone else there but arnav. Her and aranv did spend a couple of nights like this before, but no one ever saw them in the morning together.

Arnav sighed and looked at akash. Akash had a huge smile on his face.

Akash: Sleep well bhai. Sofay par?

Aranv: Akash, not a word. I am warning you. And dont bother her about it either. I know you too well.

Akash: That i will have to think about.

They heard Payal and Anjali coming downstairs. Luckily only Akash had seen them.

Everyone wished everyone good morning and arnav went upstairs to freshen up.

Akash had a smile on his face. He really needed to tell someone, but he would never do that. However, he would never give up the chance to tease both of them for the rest of the day. After a little while khushi came downstairs.

She greeted Anjali and Payal. She looked at akash and looked down. Akash started to laugh. Arnav came downstairs a little while after her.

Akash: Hey Desi Girl, sleep well?

Khushi gulped, and kept her gaze down. Arnav stopped and stared at akash. He gave him a stern look. But felt a little embaressed himself as well.

Akash: Tell tell.

Anajli and Payal became curious as to what akash was doing.

Payal: kyon kya howa khushi, Did you not sleep well?

Khushi looked downand held her head.

Khushi: No no. I slept well. Dont worry.

Akash started to laugh.

Anjali: why are you laughing akash.

Arnav walked up to akash and put his arm around his brothers shoulder. Akash tried to hold his laughter in. Akash cleared his throat. Arnav just stood there with his arm around akashs neck.

Akash: Remember how khushi fell asleep on the SOFA last night... Remember khushi. And then she magically went upstairs. I just wanted to ask her about her magic that took her upstairs.

Khushi looked downand smiled. She fixed the strand of hair behind her ear. Aranv kept his arm around akash. Akash whispered to him.

Akash: kya bhai. Did you sleep well. Hmm.

Arnav whispered back.

Arnav: one of the best i have ever had. Thanks for asking. He smirked while looking at khushi and akash chuckled.

Akash: interesting.

Anajali: Bhai you and khushi didnt wish each other a good morning yet... She said with a cheeky smile on her face.

Akash burst out into laughter. Aranv started to chuckle as well. He licked his lips and took a deep breath.

Akash: I need some fresh air. Akash went outside for sometime. Arnav and khushi just nodded their heads at each other.

Khushi went and got a cup of tea for herself and started drinking it. Anjali and Payal were sitting at the table with khushi. Arnav walked up to the table beside anjali. He put his hand on Anjalis shoulder.

Arnav: Where is akash. He should be back by now.

With that Anjali and Payal both turned their heads to look towards the door putting their Khushi and arnav. Arnav quickely grabbed khushi cup of tea and walked towards the door to go outside. Khushi was shocked. She tried to conceal her smile. She gulped and looked down. Anjali and Payal both saw arnav walking out and then they turned around to finish their breakfast.

Payal: khushi whereis your tea?

Khushi: I didnt make it yet. I will do so in a little bit.

Arnav went outside to go and stand with akash.

Akash was still smiling. Aranv went and sat beside him.

Akash: So.. Looks like you two have come quite close.

Arnav: akash.. He said with a stern voice.

Akash: no seriously. No jokes. You two look good together. I am honestly happy for you.

Aranv smiled at his brother and started to sip his tea.

Akash: let me guess, khushis cup. Right.

Aranv laughed. He looked at akash.

Akash: come on, how could i not tell. IT has lipstick marks on the rim.

Aranv looked at it and approvingly nodded his head.

Aranv: hence, i dont need to add any sugar.

He looked at akash and winked. They both chuckled.

Akash took out his phone and took a picture of arnav drinking the chai. Arnav became a little confused. Akash just asked him to wait. He asked Aranv to come inside. While walking in, Akash took a picture of khushi. Khushi was confused as to what akash was doing.

Everyone sat down atthe table. Akash made a new whatsapp group with just him, khushi and arnav. Both arnav and khushi recieved the notifications. They were a little confused as to what was going on. They both stole a glance at each other asking what was going on. They both didnt know. Akash started to write another song on the group, but posted a picture after each verse.

Akash text: In honour of the lovebirds in our family, I akash, would like to dedicate a song to them.

Both Khushi and Arnav sighed, they were bracing themselves for the worst right now.

Ek Garam Chai ki piyali ho..... With that he posted a picture of arnav drinking from his current chai cup.

Arnav and khushi both looked at their phones and tried to keep a straight face.

Aur usko pilanay wali ho........... He posted a picture from yesterday when akash had taken payal and anjali out for a hike, and arnav was hugging khushi by the window and she was helping him drink from her chai cup. Khushis eyes widened. She gulped. Aranv smirked and raised his eyebrow. Akash was having a blast.

Gori ho aur patli ho ........... He then posted the picture he just took of Khushi... Arnav approvingly nodded his head. Khushi started to blush a little bit. She licked her lips and tried to take slow breaths. Arnav started to sip his tea again, while keeping his phone in his other hand.

Seenay pay sonay wali ho........... Akash posted a picture from this morning where khushi and arnav were snuggled on the sofa and khushi was laying on his chest. Aranv saw this picture, turned his head and sprayed the tea out of his mouth to the sideof his body. Khushi mouth was left wide opened. In shock as to what Akash just posted. Akash had smirk on his face.

Anjali and payal looked at arnav, akash and khushi. They had no idea what was going on. Khushi looked at arnav, and arnav looked at her. Aranv turned around to look at akash. Anajali and Payal saw the way that Arnav and Khushi looked at each other and knew it must be something fun. Arnav looked at Akash.

Arnav: Your a dead man akash.. Your a dead man. Akash got up from the table and started to run. With that he got up and started to run after akash. Akash was running everywhere. Sometimes throwing cushions at arnav, or jumping over the sofas. Akashs smile refuse to leave his face. Khushi grabbed arnavs phone that he left on the table. She held both of the phones together, hoping to conceal it from anjali and payal. She started to walk away and go upstairs, She was near the sofas when akash ran up to her and grabbed her from the shoulders and turned her around. Once she turned, arnav was right infront of her. He tried to wave his hands to help him to stop, Both of their eyes wide opened. Before they knew it, arnav fell on top of khushi, he grabbed her back with both of his hands and she lay her hands on his chest. As they fell, arnav turned then around so khushi wouldnt fall on the ground. They both fell to the ground. Khushi on top of Arnav, Her head and hands on his chest, her hair fanned out on top of him, his chest and face. While his arms were around her back hugging her. Arnav didnt get hurt luckily. Akash stood there with his mouth wide oepend and smiling. He immediatly took another picture, this was for a future song he would plan to write in their honour. His eyes has a mischevioussmile in them. Anjali and Payal both stood there with their jaws dropped. They never saw Aranv and khushi that close, that too in that position.

Khushi and arnav both kept their eyes closed. They both gulped. Her heart was racing, while she could feel his was no less. She slowly moved her head up and started to push against his chest so she could get up. Her hand slipped and she fell again. Aranv moved his hands from around her waist and she went to the side off of him. Slowly they both got up, and she started to fix her dupatta and hair. Arnav cleared his throat and fixed his shirt. She passed him his phone, making it seem as if he dropped it. She kept her gaze down. He kept his gaze down as well, and took the phone from her. HE cleared his throat.

He looked up at anjali and payal who were not trying not to laugh. He gave a stare to them, not to laugh. They both put their hands on their mouths and tried to keep their smiles concealed. He looked down and softly said.

Arnav: sorry..

Khushi kept her gaze down and nodded her head. He left and went upstairs. Akash had his hands on his mouth as arnav went upstairs. After a few moments khushi was able to get a hold on her heart beat. Anajli and Payal were both giggling.

Akash: thanks khushi. You saved me.

Khushi: Akash, i swear, i dont know if he will kill you or not, but i will one day.

She looked at him hinting to the phones in her hands. Akash started to smile. He went and put his arm around khushis shoulder. She shrugged it off. He smiled.

Akash: okay okay fine. I wont do that again. Maybe. With that Akash ran off upstairs.

Anjali: Hey khushi, you didnt do the hike yesterday na, lets go today.

Khushi: Let me go and get ready. I cant go in a shalwar suit. She smiled and started to go upstairs, as she went up, arnav started to came down. He saw Anjali and Payal looking at them, otherwise he was going to at least slide his hand against the back of her hand. just a small flirtish move. Arnav stood there and stood against the railing, giving khushi more space to walk by. Khushi looked down, fixed her hair and went upstairs. Arnav came down and asked Anjali and Payal what the plan for today was. they told him about the hike.

Anjali went upstairs to get ready and arnav asked payal to stay for a bit. Payal was a bit confused, but didnt mind, she was already ready. He asked her if he could talk to her. They went outside near the parking lot.

Arnav: Voh payal, i kind of needed your help.

Payal started to giggle. A man who was able to drag people out of their house, who was able to tolerate stitches on his head, and what not was asking for help.

Payal: yes.

Arnav became a little shy himself. He looked down and was lost for words. He put his hands in his pocket and started to make small kicks on the ground. How could he ask payal for help, could he ask her. He had many questions running in his mind.

Payal: ok, let me take a guess here. You want to spend some time with Khushi, and knowing how shy khushi is, you are not able to. Plus you also have all three of us here as chaperones. Correct.

Arnav looked at herand laughed.

Arnav: You are a lot smarter for your age. Listen I promise, you can trust us.

Payal: Arnav what you did for our family two days ago already gained our trust. Plus, you two are engaged, you need to spend time together. What do you need help with.

Aranv: I honestly dont know. And one more key thing. Umm. Actually. Amma.. And.. I mean. Please dont tell them na. Please. Help your brother out over here.

Payal started to giggle.

Payal: Kaun Amma, Kaun Bauji? I have no idea whom you are referring to. But, the only thing is that knowing Khushi, she needs a big big push.

Arnav knew exactly what she meant. he remembered how hard it was for him to get Khushi to this stage at the university. It took time, a long long time.

Arnav: You are the best you know that right. Arnav and Payal waited outside for everyone to come. Akash also came outside and held his ears, then started to bend up and down. He knew arnav would give him that punishment, so he started all by himself. He tried to stop but arnav told him to keep going. Payal tried to conceal her smile while she saw Akash go up and down and Arnav looking at him with his arms folder infront of him.

Khushi and Anjali came outside and saw arnav standing with his arms folded infront of him. Payal holding her laughter in and akash holding his ears and going up and down. They both laughed.

Anajali: Murgha Bana diya na. See khushi, I know bhai would do that to akash. Okay, lets go, we have to do other things as well today. Come on.

Akash stopped finally.

Akash: desi girl, tumhari chakkar main mujhe murgha bana diya. Khushi went upto him and smiled. She cupped his face and shook her head.

Khushi: its ok. You can continue this after we come back. Hmm. Everyone started to laugh.

Khushi was walking ahead with Payal and Anjali, Akash and Arnav a little behind them. Payal turned back and looked at arnav. She hinted for her to send Akash over. Arnav softly spoke to akash.

Arnav: you should go to the front and lead the way. It is a bit dangerous and the girls will need someone in the front .

Akash agreed and ran up. Once he came, Payal took Anjalis hand and started to point to far away places and started to walk a little faster. Khushi was walking with them but arnav slowly walked up to them a bit. He saw that payal and Anjali were looking the other way he quickely touched her hand and hinted her to come a little back. Her eyes widened. She shook her head. She looked at him and pointed to everyone else with her eyes. Aranv made an annoyed face. Khushi went and started to walk payal and anajli. Payal saw khushi beside her and raised her eyebrow. Payal had an idea. She looked back at arnav and told him to come a little ahead. He smiled and came forward.

Payal: SNAKE....She yelled very loudly. Khushi stopped in her steps and held her breath. There was one this in this world that scared the life out of khushi and that was snakes. Khushi had goosebumps all over her body, her heart was pacing, eyes wide, scattered breathing.

Payal: khushi, its right by you.

With that khushi turned around and hugged arnav. Both of her hands around his neck. She was on her tip toes. Her eyes closed tightly. As a reaction arnav had put both of his hands holding her from the side of the body. He didnt hug her, luckily. But she was petrified. Akash, Anajli were busy looking for the snake,while payal just looked at arnav and khushi, trying to hold her smile in. Arnav looked at Payal and saw her give him a thumbs up. He smiled, Payal was the sweetest sister ever. He licked his lips. HE cleared his throat and soft whispered to khushi,

Arnav: khushi. Sab daikh rahay hain.

Khushi heard what he said and started to slowly release her hands.

Payal: Khushi dont move! Its right near you and arnav.

Khushi immedialtly hugged him even tighter that before. She almost had tears in her eyes. Akash and Anjali turned around to look at them. They all started to smile. ARanv was also smiling. Arnav still held onto khushi from the side of her body. He knew she was scared, he could feel her heart beat in her chest, she had held him that tightly. He raised his right hand and pointed at akash, anjali and payal. After he pointed his index finger out and made circles in the air, telling them to turn around. They all closed their eyes with their hands, while still smiling and turned around. Arnav then slowly slid his hand aroud khushis back and took a deep breath. Only his touch could help calm her. He took his right hand fanned it through her hair behind her head. He softly and gently started to whisper,

Arnav: Shhhh.. You are safe with me. Dont worry.

He looked at the other three standing there, making sure that they heads were all turned.

He slowly turned his head a little bit inwards and snuggled it into her hair, then her neck and slowly and gently slid his nose against the soft skin on her neck. He slowly led his nose up, making sure to leave his lips parted. So the crash from his warm breath could be felt by her. She felt his lips slowly rub against her neck. She gulped. He slowly moved his head up. He wanted to go back down and place a gentle kiss on the nape of her neck. HE stopped himself because he knew that everyone was around, sure they were not looking, but still it wasnt right. He slowly brought his lips to her jaw line and then brought his head a little back. She was lost in his touch. She had forgotten about the snake and everyone else around them. In a soft and quiet manner, arnav whispered in his husky voice.

Arnav: khushi, the snake has left.

Khushi loosed grip on him and slowly stood flat on her feet again. Aranv kept his hand on her back and other on her neck, with the thumb onto her cheek.

Arnav: You ok? He quietly asked her.

Khushi looked at him, took a deep breath and smiled. She started to turn her head a little bit and her eyes widened. She looked back at arnav scared, she could not believe she did that infront of everyone. He smiled and silently chuckled. He blinked his eyes reassuringly. He tilted his head towards the other three for her to look. She turned around and saw that they all had their backs to them and their eyes closed. She sighed, smiled, and then looked down. She was red, crimson red.

Arnav leaned into her shoulder, held her by her waist. His chest was now closely touching her back. He softly whispered,

Arnav: I love when you turn red like that.

With that he quietly and slowly placed a kiss on her cheek. Her big brown eyes widened. She gasped for air. He flirtishly slid his hand across her back as he walked ahead. He put his hands into his pockets and walked passed akash. Khushi was left there embarressed. Akash felt aranv move by and smiled.

Akash: Bhai can we open our eyes now. Please!

Akash opened his eyes and looked ahead, not behind him. He saw arnav walking ahead.

Akash: Anjali, payal bhai already left. They opened their eyes and looked ahead. They turned back and saw khushi. She was red and was looking down, trying to fix her hair behind her ear. Sometimes looking side to side. Khushi had felt extremely embaressed. She took a deep breath and started to walk ahead. Anjali was about to say something, but both Akash and payal stopped her.

Khushi quietly started to walk. They didnt want her to feel any more shy or embarrassed so they changed the topic and tried to help her feel normal.

Khushi kept her head down most of the time. They walked into a small town. Khushi looked up and noticed arnav playing with a small kid who was with their parents up ahead. Seeing Arnav with that small child showed khushi a new side of arnav that she never knew about. His loving and nurturing side. She just looked at him and smiled. He would sometimes tickle the child or play peek-a-boo. The smile of the child would bring a smile onto Aranvs face and that smile would then be seen on khushis face.

Anjali: Bhai has always loved kids. He is a natural with them. Everyone else just smiled and khushi looked down and sighed. A pleasant sigh.

Payal ran up to arnav and started to speak to him. Khushi didnt know what they were talking about, jsut that they were smiling and laughing a lot with each other. Khushi really liked the way that Payal and Arnav were both bonding with each other. They walked up to khushi, anjali and akash. Payal started to tell Anjali and akash about an indian clothing store she saw as when drove by here yesterday. Arnav was walking behind all of them, Khushi started to walk more slowly, while keeping an eye on the three in the front. She was now walking beside arnav. He had his hand is his pockets with his head sometimes down or ahead. He saw khushi walking slower. He smiled. She looked down while walking, hugging herself. She started to softly talk to him. Making sure that no one else could hear.

Khushi: I never knew you like children so much.

Arnav: yeah, they tend to bring a smile on your face. I think its their innocence, smiles and just the way they are. Why, dont you like kids?

He looked down while walking. Khushi waited a moment, bit her bottom lip and then shyfully answered.

Khushi: I love kids, especially if they are ones own.

Arnav: Oh ok.

Khushi ran ahead right after she had said that to arnav. Arnavs eyes widened all of a sudden after realizing what khushi had just said, or hinted. She looked back at him and saw him. She winked at him. Arnav signh raizada actually start to become a little red.

She giggled and looked forward again. Arnav just fanned his hand threw his hair, trying to get a control on his emotions. Now, khushi was also flirting with him. This seemed very interesting to him.

Precap: Date night. Ahem ahem... And someone decides to more a little more forward in their relationship. I wonder who, i wonder how. I haven't written a lot of lovely dovey stuff, well not as lovey dovey. So looking forward to the next update.

They walked into as mall town. Khushi looked up and noticed arnav playing with a small kid who was with their parents. Seeing Arnav with that small child showed khushi a new side of arnav that she never knew about. His loving and nurturing side. She just looked at him and smiled. They all entered the store. Khushi stayed with Payal and Anjali. Akash was talking to the cashier, trying to get her number. Arnav was just roaming around. He spoke to another cashier and was talking to her in some detail about somethings.

Arnav: guys I think we should go for lunch. The lady just mentioned a really nice restaurant down the road.

They all agreed and went down the road.

Arnav: You guys order, I already got myself something to eat. I am going to go and get the car. I will pick you guys up.

Akash asked if he should come with him, arnav just asked him to stay with the girls. He should be back soon.. Khushi was a little confused. Where did Aranv go. That is not like him. She sat down and ate with the rest of the them. After 2 hour or so, Arnav had called akash and told him that his car was parked outside.

Akash: finally bhai, we were wondering where you were left off. Ok, we are all coming. Dont worry, we also grabbed something for dinner.

Khushi sighed of relief. Two hours was a long time. Where was he.

They all went outside and sat in the car.

Anjali: Bhai, where were you?

Arnav: yeah, i actually got busy in some work of mine. Sorry.

Khushi was looking at him in the mirror. He had a different expression on his face. IT was a bit worried, bit of anticipation, and even a bit of nervousness. He looked back at her from the mirror. She raised her eyebrows asking if all was ok. He just blinked his eyes reassuringly. She smiled and looked outside.

As the reached the cottage, Khushi said that she was going to make tea for everyone. Khushi went to the kitchen and made 5 cups of teas. She wished to make just one for her and arnav, but knew she couldnt. They would both feel uncomfortable being their couple self infront oftheir siblings. Khushi and akash sat beside each other, showing each other random jokes on their phones. Anjali and Payal were talking while arnav was reading some news on his phone. He sat alone on his sofa. Akash got up and went to get something from his room. Aranv noticed this and messaged khushi.

Arnav: come and sit with me. Pleaseeeeeee... You cant sit infront of me and not beside me.

Khushi read the message and was surprised. She gulped. She looked at him for a second and saw him gesturing to he to come and sit beside him. He squinted his eyes and pointed to the seat beside him with his head. She gave him a glare and slightly shook her head.

Payal noticed that Aranv was trying to get khushi to come and sit beside him. And khushi kept on saying no. She sighed, she was annoyed of her sister and her traditional attitude.

Khushi went to the kitchen and payal followed her. She maybe younger than khushi, but she needed to get a point across to her sister. She slowly spoke to khushi.

Payal: Khushi, if someone cared about me so much, and put in so much effort to just spend sometime with me, and even dragged both the families along with him, than i think he deserves some attention.

Khushi was in shock. What did her younger sister just say to her. Khushi looked at her with wide opened eyes.

Payal: Dont look at me like that. He really cares for you. And guess what, i know for a fact that you do too. Okay. I have seen the way you two are together. Listen, this chance you wont get again.

Khushi looked downand sighed.

Khushi: Payal, its not that. Its just, um...sab...

What was she to say to her younger sister.

Payal: Let me help. Its just that everyone is here, you are shy. You know i asked Your fiance that why are you two so shy around each other even though you both go to the same university, far away from home and what not. You know what he said.

Khushi looked at her sister. She was amazed as to how close her and Aranv were now.

Payal: he said that your schedules were very different, and its the cultural thing as well. Plus he was more concerned about you and how comfortable you were. Khushi, you got very very lucky with this guy. Come on. If he is calling you to come and sit with him, you go and sit with your fiance. Dont worry, I wont say a word to amma, bauji or anyone. I know akash knows more that any of us, with you two, and he wont say anything. As for Anjali, that one I can handle.

Khushi looked down again. Her sister was right, but still,she just couldnt, not infront of everyone else in the family. Khushi knew how close her and arnav were, but it was not necessary that they all find out.

Payal: Btw, Aranv asked me not to tell you. You know what, I wont. I wont tell you. You can ask him yourself about this med school thing.

Payal left and khushi was left in confusion. How was it possible that Payal knew something about arnav that khushi didnt know. She was confused.

Khushi turned her head back and looked at arnav. He was looking at his phone. Akash went upstairs to get ready, he appareantly had a date with the cashier from the store. Aranv went outside and put up a hammock between the trees. He layed there for some time. Payal, Anjali and Khushi all sat inside. Khushi kept on looking outside from the side of her eyes. Payal noticed this. She knew her sister very well. She knew that khushi wanted to go and talk to arnav, but wasnt going to as long as everyone else was there.

Payal: Anajli, there was small movie theatre there as well right. If your brother is already going into town, maybe we can go and watch a late night movie.

Anjali was thrilled with the idea. Anjali looked at khushi and asked her. Khushi looked up and saw payal. Payal was profusely shaking her head. NO!

Payal: Khushi had a headache. Remember when me and her went to the kitchen she was telling me about her headache. The movie will just make it worse. Lets just us go. I will be right back.

She went outside and spoke to arnav. Aranv smiled and laughed. They had no idea what they were saying, just that he was laughing and kept his head down while payal was talking to him. Payal came back inside.

Payal: He said he will join us in a bit. We should get ready and go. Khushi, you will be ok na. Let me give you advil. Anjali you go and get ready.

Before khushi could even think for another second, Payal was already pulling khushi. Anajli was ahead of them.

Payal and Khushi came to khushis room. Khushi looked inside. She noticed something on her bed. There was green gift box with a rose on it. And a note. She knew who gave it. She saw Payal behind her.

Payal also noticed the box. She smiled.

Payal: dont worry, i wont read the note or look inside the box. That is for you. But i do have a message for you. Someone special said to be ready right after we leave. But stay in bed and pretend to sleep. I know anjali will want to come in an convince you.

Khushi smiled, blushed.

Khushi: payal, thanks. She hugged her sister and payal left.

Khushi picked up the rose and opened the note.

"A small gift, but only if you are okay with it."

Khushi smiled but had her eyebrows furrowed. What could Aranv have possibly given her that he would write such a thing. She opened up the wrapper, the box was from the store that they visited during the day.

She opened the box. There was a full black net lace sari in it. There was a small boarder around it with embroidered red roses. It was beautiful, but very very see through. She picked up the sari and was surprised that Aranv gave her something like this. But seeing the roses, she was sure he had sent it for her. There was a sleeveless blouse with only a ribbon at the back. Nothing else to tie it up, no hooks, no dori, no thing. She started to blush uncontrollaby. She had this tingly feeling develop in her heart. How was she to wear this infront of arnav. It was too revealing. She heard a knock on the door. She quickely put the sari away under the bed sheets and left the rose ontop of the bed. and opened the door. IT was Payal and Anjali.

Anjali: Are you sure you dont want to come. They walked into the room. Khushis eyes widened. She turned anjali around and gave her a hug. She looked at Payal and hinted for Payal to look on her bed and hide the rose. Payal looked at the bed and quickly put the rose under the pillow. Khushi sighed. Khushi stopped hugging Anjali. Anjali just stared at her in confusion.

Khushi: Sorry Anjali, i know you really wanted me to go to, and i did too, but honestly, my head is killing. Payal already gave me the meds and i was just about to go to bed. Sorry.

Anajli slightly smiled and payal took her out. She hinted to khushi that they will be back in a couple of hours. Khushi sucked in her lips and blushed. She fixed the hair strand behind her ear. Payal closed the door behind her.

Khushi looked at the sari again, she was a bit hessitant. A bit uncomfortable. She didnt know what to do.

Akash had left with Payal and Anjali. Arnav was outside making a bonfire. It was a bit chilly in the evening, but a pleasant weather. As he put the lit match stick into the fire he looked up, and there was khushi. She had a blanket wrapped around her. He couldnt tell what she was wearing. He smiled and looked down. He sighed, he knew that maybe that sari was a bit too revealing. She would not be comfortable. He thought that maybe afterwards, when they became more close, or even after their marriage. She looked at him and smiled. She sighed. She tried to keep her blushing down. She slowly walked up to him and sat on the ground near the bonfire. He walked up to her side and sat down near her. He folded his knees up and wrapped his arms around his knees. He kept on looking down or at the bonfire.

Khushi: remember the first bonfire, the one we did in Toronto.

Arnav smiled and nodded his head. He looked at her with love.

Khushi looked at him and smiled back. They both just sighed and looked at the fire.

Arnav: Ek baat pochoon.

Khushi: yes..

Arnav: Why didnt you come and sit beside me when I asked you to.

Khushi smiled and looked down.

Khushi: Sab daikh thay. I didnt think it was right.

Arnav: I guess, but we are engaged you know. I just thought that maybe, we could at least sit together.

Khushi smiled and looked at him.

Khushi: what is wrong?

Arnav: nothing.

Khushi just smiled. She took out one hand from the blanket, still making sure to cover her self. She had worn nice red bangles. With her finger on the grass, she started to write.. Liar...

Aranv smiled.

Khushi: Remember when akash first came to the university, and you started to get mad at him for talking to me.

Arnav chuckled and nodded his head.

ArnaV: I wanted to kill him at that time. But they were good times. We actually got to spend time with each other.

Khushi: Ek baat kahoon... (arnav looked down and nodded his head, khushi knew he was upset because they didnt get to spend as much time as he desired) I know that we didnt get to spend as much time as we both wished for. I know. ( he looked at her and smiled, she knew him too well), but why not use this time right now, instead of keeping our mood a little off.

Aranv smiled and then he stood up. He took out his phone and then put on a song list on his phone. He looked at khushi and took out his hand infront of her.

She looked at him and smiled. He gestured for her to take his hand. She slowly took out one hand and made sure to keep the blanket on her. He looked a little confused.

Khush smiled and said: Its a little chilly.

He smiled and helped her up. She refused to let go of the blanket around her, she made sure that it covered up to her neck. She put her head on this chest and turned her shoulders inwards. He was a bit shocked and smiled.

Arnav: You must be very cold. Do you want to go inside.

Khushi: No its ok.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and they slowly started to dance. Just simple steps side to side.

Arnav: So, you like kids... Especially if..

Khushi blushed and giggled. She snuggled her head more into him. After a little while she started to softly speak.

Khushi: Where were you today, why didnt you stay for lunch? He smiled. He didnt want to say anything much about the gift, becuase she would probably become conscious and feel bad for not wearing it.

Arnav: Because, it took me some time to find the rose and gift for you. Mila?

Khushi nodded her head while keeping it still against his chest. He sighed and just tightened his arms around her.

Khushi: Ek baat poochon.

Arnav: poocho.

Khushi: Payal was mentioning to me something about your med school. Is everything ok? She didnt tell me anything.

Arnav took a deep breath.

Arnav: My classes start two days after my last final, and the university wanted me to come as soon as possible to join and settle in. So,.... (He sighed.) This is the last chance we have to spend quality time together before i leave for a couple of years. Phir uskay baad shadi hogi.

Khushi remained silent. She thought that her and arnav would still have some more time together, even after the exams, before he would have to leave. While still holding onto the blanket from the inside she flattened her hands onto his chest. Her eyes started to become a little moist. She slowly put her head a little back and looked up to arnav. He looked down, there was sadness in his eyes. He gave a half smile to her. He slowly leaned in and placed a gently kiss on her forehead. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath in. He brought his head back and she rested her head onto his chest again.

Khushi: Is that why you wanted to spend more and more time together.

Arnav: yeah.. I wanted to spend more time with you anyways, but this time was just... I just wanted to make whatever time we had memorable.

She looked at him and smiled. He smiled back. They felt soft rain drops fall on their faces. They both looked up at the sky and smiled. It was a light rain, a pleasant sprinkle of water.

Arnav: We should go inside, you are already cold. He moved his hands from around her and started to walk inside. Khushi stayed there for a few moments. Light Rain drops started to caressed her face. Winds started to pick up. She looked down and took a deep breath. Arnav was now a few feet away from her. She tightened her eyes closed and then slowly opened them. The next song started to play on aranvs phone. It was just the tunes for Tum Hi Ho from the movie Ashiqui 2.

She still kept her gaze down she called at arnavs name.

Khushi: Arnav.

Arnav turned around and looked at her. While still keeping her gaze down, she held tightly onto the two sides of the blanket. Very slowly she started to move her hands apart and allowed for the blanket to fall down off her shoulders. Her chest was heaving heavly. She gulped. She was nervous to say the least.

Arnav just stood there. His eyes were fixed on her. She wore the full black net lace sari. He just looked at her. Her petit figure was fully outlined and showing through the net lace. He looked a ther face. Her long beautfiul silky black hair flowing with the winds, and some strands gently caressing her face. His eyes slowly moved down. He looked at her lips, partically covered by some strands of hair, parted. His eyes went further down. He noticed her neck, He saw a drop of rain slowly making their way down her neck. How he wished he was the drop of rain, that could caress her body like that. His eyes went further down. Her chest was heaving heavily. The sari was extremely see through, so he would see the complete outline of her blouse. He had a burning sensation start in his heart. He gulped. He looked further down, he could see the curves of her body gently wrapped in the black lace. He looked further down. Both of her hands has some red bangles on them, tightly holding onto the blanket. His eyes went more down, he noticed her feet, she had taken off her sandles. She now stood bare foot on the moist grass. He looked up at her again. She was now biting her lip. Nervous, anxious, not knowing what was going to happen next. His heart was racing, he was taking deep breaths. The site infront of him was like a dream come true for him. How many times he had imagined khushi to be standing infront of him like this. Khushi started to lick her lips. She kept on looking down. She knew arnavs eyes were on her. She was nervous, anxious, a bit excited, but also scared. Her heart was racing. Her breathing was very scattered. She felt butterflies in her stomach. She didnt have the courage to look up at arnav. He had given her this gift meaning he wanted to see her in this.

Arnav started to slowly walk towards her. She was becoming more and more nervous. Her heart was beating harder and faster. His was no less. With every step he took towards her, his heart beat harder, much much harder. He stood infront of her. She became more conscious than ever. He slowly raised his right hand and with his index finger he rasied her chin. She moved her head up, but kept her gaze down. The light water drops from the rain were slowly falling on her face. She gulped. He raised his left hand and very gently slid his index finger across her fore head, moving the loose strands of her that were covering her face to the side. She closed her eyes, where ever he touched her, there was a tingling sensation there. Her hands that were holding the blanket let go of the blanket. The blanket now fell to the ground. He took his left hand that had fixed her hair and put it on her right waist. He then very slowly he leaned towards her ear, and in a soft husky voice he whispered...
