Supporting your wife is a duty for a husband. It's not highlighting Rohit's character. This should be done by every husband. It's just that we're not habituated to see in ITVs. So for us, it's looking like Mahaan but it's not that great.

And yes, here Rohit supporting Sona doesn't make Sona weak. Even though we fight with the whole world alone, we really wish for a person who is for us, who support us unconditionally. Here Rohit is the support for Sona.
