So, I have a better suggestion. He should put up a vada pav gaadi in front of Asa'a appartment window. That will help him to keep in touch with Asa (ankhon ankhon mein) as well as earn something because Abhi's kitchen has already gone to dogs.

This however was not the scene with serials in the 80s.... The serials are reminisced and honoured even today because they respected us...

But I guess we will have to bear and put up with by-products of daily soaps...Some things are here to stay and need to be accepted... I guess ABSB is just another count..😀

Today was another disgusting phase but most disgusting part of the episode was when Somya sort of alternately kept abusing his mother and "praising" her when Shubhra was present. Can't the abla nari see through the facade of her babdya? Any woman with reasonable intelligence would have given him a piece of her mind for this two faced behaviour. But not our great abla nari.

And what about the supposedly smart Shubhra? Not once does she wonder how her dear husband has suddenly started behaving like a model son??

I am most disappointed to watch these regressive shows on tv. Can you imagine if there are older women who want to take a positive step towards remarriage watching this kind of show? Instead of making women strong, it weakens them. WTH did the old man (I don’t feel like calling him ajoba and find it improper to call him therda) mean when he said asawari’s life finished the day his son died??

People have gone through great difficulties to get practices like widow remarriages into our society. These kind of regressive shows just dilute that in the name of entertainment. And people like Girish Oak and Nivedita Saraf support this? Shame on them!

Yes, we've come a long way in this regard. Especially since they've shown Kulkarnis in an urban setting. To show Aajoba rant and scream at Asa and disown her is very irresponsible of the CVs, actors and the channel.

One must realise that this story is about widow remarriage and they had to show resistance from her FIL and son (otherwise the story would have ended in no time). But they could have shown that resistance in a more subtle manner without such pathetically regressive dialogues.
