CHAPTER 78

Rajveer had recently purchased HELICOPTER AMBULANCE for Khurana Hospitals! Hence, Rajveer asked Khurana Hospital's administrator to send that! As the Chairman of Khurana Hospitals had called, the HELICOPTER AMBULANCE reached within an hour!

But as it had medical equipments there was not much space for people to sit so only one person beside the patient could travel! Although Armaan wanted to go but it was Riddhima's field of specialisation! Hence,Riddhima went with Geet as her attending doctor. Maan made the Paramedic in the ambulance chopper, travel with him in another chopper. So now, in the ambulance chopper was Geet, Riddhima, the nurse and Hanuman Singh (Maan was very insistent on his presence!) sitting in front with the pilot!

Before Geet was taken into the ambulance chopper, Dadimaa went to 'pooja ghar' got an "Aarti thali". Dadimaa did Geet's aarti, and asked Maan to "fill her maang and put a sindoor bindi" on her forehead!

Feeling Maan's touch on her forehead, Geet opened her eyes. Vicky and Meera touched Geet's feet despite of her saying "no"! Before they got up to go, Geet held their hand tightly saying, "Aap dono humse vada kariye ki yadi hummei kuch ho jaaye to aap Humare Maanji, Prithvi, Veer aur Rini ka dhyaan rakhenge! Hum inn Chaaron ko aap dono ke supurth (hand over) karte hain!" (You both promise me that if anything happens to me, you will take care of my Maan, Prithvi, Veer aur Rini! I hand over these four to you both!)

"Hum vada karte hain bhabhi!" (We promise!) Vicky and Meera replied with tears!

"Bhaiya aap aaj hi Meera Didi ke "pag-phere" Rajgarh jaa kar poorn kijiyega!" (Vicky, you must take Meera to Rajgarh and get her "pag-phere" ceremony concluded!) "Hum aap cheon se shama maangte hain ki humre kaaran aap ke vivaah mei vighan (trouble) padha !" Looking at Armaan, Riddhima, Arjun, Arohi, Vicky and Meera with her folded hands. (I ask forgiveness from 6 of you for ruining your wedding festivities!) Making everyone have tears in their eyes due to her humbleness! "Dadimaa aur Pitaji charan sparsh pranaam!" (Dadimaa and Pitaji salutations!) Then, Geet lost her consciousness and her breathing was being laboured.

Armaan started barking orders to hide his tears, "Where the hell is the stretcher?"

"Nurse put oxygen mask on the patient! Check her blood pressure and pulse? Check her body temperature? Don't stand like a statue!"

"YES DOCTOR!" Scaring the nurse!

"Hanuman Singhji aap ambulance chopper mein baaithiye!"

"Ji Hukum!"

"Riddhima,where are you?"

"Coming!" Riddhima was removing all her wedding jewellery and giving to Dadimaa for safe keeping!

She wanted to change into her light churidaar kurta but Armaan's call stopped that! "Dadimaa, aap ghar (Khurana Mansion) puhaunch ke mera ek suit hospital bhej dijiyega!" (After reaching Khurana Mansion, please send a simple churidaar kurta for me!)

Maan laid Geet on stretcher and got her stretcher inside the chopper with help of Armaan, Arjun, Yash ,Vicky, Adi, Hanuman Singh and Bahadur Singh. They refused to let any servant touch her stretcher! As soon as Riddhima sat in the chopper, it took off! Armaan, Maan, Adi, Paramedic and Bahadur Singh sat in the other chopper and was about to take off, when Nakul came running to Maan with a small suitcase. "Yeh kya hai Nakul Kaka?" (What is this, Nakul?)

"Bahurani ne aap ke liye saamaan rakha tha. Aur humse kahaa tha, ki aap jab bhi ghar se bahaar adhik samay ke liye jaayen toh isse aap ko avashiya de dein!"(Ma'am had asked me to give this definitely to you, when you were going away from home for long time!) Maan took the suitcase and chopper took off!

After both the choppers left, Dadimaa urgently summoned Rajpurohit (Rampur) and Chote Rajpurohit (Rajgarh) and got displeased at them. "Aap dono ne hummei vishwas dilaya tha ki Maan aur Geetanjali ke punar-vivaah se unka dampatiye jeevan sakushal hoga. Kintu unke vivaah ke paschaat bhi, humari bahu par ek jaanleva hamla ho chuka hai; unka swasthiya bilkul sahi nahi hai aur woh mrityu ki chaukhat (doorstep) par hain; aur gharbh-paat (miscarriage) hone ke bhi aasaar hain! Yeh kaisa sakushal jeevan hai?" (You both had forecasted that if we got, Maan and Geetanjali re-married, they will have a peaceful marital life! But even after their re-marriage, their has been a deadly attack on my daughter-in-law; her health is so poor that she is on death-bed; and she is on the verge of a miscarriage! What is peaceful in this marital life?)

"Rajmata aap shaant ho jaaye! Kya Yuvraj aur Rajkumari mei prem nahi? Kya woh dono ek dusare ka saath nahi dete? Kya woh aap ka aur poore parivaar ka aadar-samaan nahin karte? Karte hain na!" (Calm down Queen Mother! Don't Maan and Geetanjali love each other? Don't they support each other? Don't they respect all of you in the family? They do!) Chote Rajpurohit said.

"Rajmata, Yuvraj ki kundali ke grah sakth hain! Iss kaaran unka prabhav unki patni arthat, Rajkumari Geetanjali par padh raha hai. Rajkumari ke gharbh mei jo do pal rahen hain woh har vighan ko door karenge! Rajkumari iss baar judwaan bacchon ko janam dengi! Woh judwaan bacche har vighan se ladke paida honge!" (O Queen Mother! Crown-Prince Maan's stars are very tough. As Princess Geetanjali is his wife, it will effect her as well! The two who are in her womb will ward off all the troubles. Princess will give birth to twins! These twins will fight with all problems & troubles and will be born!)

Making everyone present i.e. Dadimaa, Rajveer, Arjun, Arohi, Vicky, Meera and Yash have a sweet and contended smile on their faces! Later, Vicky and Meera went to Rajgarh with Arjun, Arohi and Yash for "pag-phere" ceremony!

In an hour's time both choppers reached KM. There was an ambulance waiting in KM. GEET's stretcher, Riddhima and Hanuman Singh sat in Ambulance and left! and Maan Armaan, Adi, Paramedic and Bahadur Singh left for hospital in limousine! Within 20mins., Ambulance was in Khurana Hospital. Dr. Sudha Krishnan was present in Emergency Room (ER) with her team. While Geet was being wheeled in Riddhima filled Dr. Sudha with her medical history! Geet was whispering "Maan...Maan...Maan" in her delirious state! Riddhima first time understood the depth of Geet's love for her brother, Maan. Geet had started chanting "Maan...Maan...Maan" as soon as they had taken off!

Dr. Sudha Krishnan with her team got into action and started getting tests done. By the time test results came, the Gynaecologist with specialisation in oncology, Dr. Devyani Gupta had also arrived. Dr. Gupta and Dr. Sudha Krishnan were classmates! Both reputed doctors discussed and decided their plan of action.

Dr. Sudha Krishnan (Gynaecologist) and Dr. Devyani Gupta (Oncologist) came out of ER to explain their findings to the patient's family! Dr. Sudha Krishnan introduced, "Crown-Prince (Mr.) Maan Singh Khurana and Dr. Armaan Singhania, I would like to introduce you to renowed Gynaecologist with specialisation in Oncology, Dr. Devyani Gupta!"

"Gentleman, I would like to tell you about the results of tests conducted on Princess(Mrs.) Geetanjali Maan Singh Khurana. Geetanjali does have abnormal growth of cells on cervix (mouth of uterus)! We have got her biopsy done and found the abnormal growth to be malignant (life-threatening) and not benige ( life-threatening)! Hence, we need to operate her as soon as possible. If the growth was benige, we could have waited till the birth of the children!"

"CHILDREN?"

"Geetanjali is pregnant with twins!" Dr. Krishnan informed

"Mr. Khurana, as you have been informed that the surgery is high risk on two grounds-

1) Its a major surgery as its removal of cancerous cell for prolonging your wife's life; and

2) High chance of miscarriage!

Incase on the operation table, if I have to take a call between saving your wife and letting the fertilized foetuses go, what should I do?"

Maan, Armaan and Riddhima were in a state of shock by this question of Dr. Gupta!

"Doctor, what is the need to ask? PLEASE SAVE MY WIFE! We already have three children! We can always have more children later!" Making Armaan and Riddhima feel proud of Maan!

"In that case, please sign these consent forms. Riddhima you ask nurse to suit up your brother in scrubs as we may need him inside OT, according to Dr. Krishnan. Patient calms with only him around her!"

"Doctor which cardiologist will be supervising her?" Armaan enquired.

"Dr. R. Chandrashekar!" Dr. Gupta took the signed forms from Maan and left.

Armaan called Rajgarh. Maan called Rajveer and told him the news! Dadimaa, Rajveer, Vicky, Meera and Yash had left with triplets for Delhi in an MPV. When they got Maan's call they were on the outskirts of Delhi. Nakul, Gulabo and Deepak had left for Delhi soon after the two choppers left so they could organise KM for the family, especially children! Dadimaa did a simple & quick "grah-pravesh" of Meera in KM. Khurana family then freshened up. Dadimaa and Rajveer left for hospital and Vicky & Meera stayed back with triplets!

The operation was scheduled for 4:30pm in the afternoon. Geet was taken at 2:00pm to prepare her for surgery. She had not regained consciousness since she left Rampur. As long as Maan was with her, she was calm but the moment he left she started getting restless saying, "Maan...Maan...Maan...Maan...Maan...Maan!" At 03:45pm, when they were wheeling her towards the Operation Theatre (OT), Maan held Geet's right hand and Armaan her left hand. Both refused to leave her hands despite of ward boys, nurses and even Riddhima's pleading.

"Yeh aap dono kya kar rahe hain? Kya aap nahin chahte ki aap ki patni (looking at Maan) aur aap ki bahen (looking at Armaan) jald se jald swasthiye ho jaaye! Armaan beta aap toh doctor hain?" (What are you both doing? Don't you want your wife (looking at Maan) and your sister (looking at Armaan) get well as soon as possible? Armaan you are a doctor! )

Savitri Devi reached KH and saw the drama both men were doing! "Dadimaa, yeh doctor ek Pitah hai. Aur jiska operation ho raha hai woh meri 'bito' hai!" (Dadimaa, this doctor is a father as well! The girl who is getting operated is my 'bito'!) But Maan and Armaan stepped back.

At sharp 4:30pm surgery started. Half an hour later, Maan was called in as Geet was again getting restless and her blood pressure was fluctuating with her reciting "Maan...Maan...Maan...Maan...Maan...Maan!" They had put a screen so Maan cannot see anything! He held Geet's hand tightly saying, "Tumhara Maan aa gaya Mishty!" (Your Maan has come, Mishty!) Geet at once calmed down and blood pressure stabilised! Both Dr. Gupta and Dr. Chandrashekhar were sceptical and even amused when Dr. Krishnan had requested Maan's presence. But seeing Maan's effect on Geet they were forced to change their opinion ! Three hours later all the three doctors- Dr. Sudha Krishnan, Dr. Devyani Gupta and Dr. R. Chandrashekar exited the OT with a smile of success. Exhausted Maan gave the nurse his OT scrubs and also walked out of OT. The two Gynaecologist thanked Dr. Chandrashekar and he left.

Dr. Devyani Gupta came near the family and said, "We have removed the cancerous growth on the cervix successfully and the pregnancy so far is intact! But the pregnancy has to be carefully monitored professionally so that babies can be delivered! What precautions are needed by Geetanjali and her family will be adviced by Dr. Krishnan!"

"Thank you so much Doctor, for saving my wife!" Maan said with folded hands! Doctor patted his back and said, "Take care of her beta! She is very weak as she has lost lot of blood and is pregnant as well!"

"We will keep Geetanjali in ICU for observation tonight! When she is conscious and her vital signs are stable, we will shift her in Presidential suite!" Dr. Krishnan adviced.

Maan went to Hospital Mandir and thanked the God! Then everyone went to cafeteria to have coffee or tea. Maan was refusing to go home, when Rajveer said that Vicky just called and said that the triplets are missing him and Geetanjali so he should go home! Triplets started jumping with joy to see him home.

"Maa-sa kahaan hai?" Prithvi asked. (Where is Mom?)

"Kya unn bure uncle ne Maa-sa ko chot puhaunchayi?" (Did that bad uncle hurt her?) Rini asked

"Maa-sa kab laut ke aayengi?" (When will Mom come back?) Veer asked.

"Maa-sa bahut jaldi aayengi beta. Bass unki chot theek jo jaaye!"(Mom will return very soon. Just let her hurt become alright!) Maan said

Although no one was needed to stay the night but Yash and Adi stayed the night! Savitri Devi refused to let Armaan and Vicky stay away from their wives at night! Geet regained her consciousness by early morning next day but no one was allowed to visit her in ICU. The doctors decided to keep her in hospital for three weeks so that if there are labour-like contractions they can stop them immediately! Next day she was shifted to Presidential suite and were allowed limited visitors. Now Geet was on road to recovery! Everyone was very happy seeing Geet getting well slowly but steadily!

Chapter 78

emotional update! great that everything is arranged for Geet.

can understand why she made Vicky and Meera promise her. she did not need to apologise for anything.

oh no she fainted! Armaan's tension and anger is reasonable! the entire family are worried for Geet.

so dadi called the priests and confronted them about what is happening. liked that they assured her! wow Geet will have twins which will ward off all the troubles.

at least now everyone is happy.

Chapter 79

Fabulous update remarkably written.

Maan is shocked that Geet is pregnant with twins! not surprised that Maan chose to save his love and life Geet.

great that everyone is back in Delhi.

glad that dadima is there at the hospital. of cos Geet needs Maan near her and he is called in.

Thank God the op was a success and Geet and the babies are well. but her pregnancy has to be monitored.

as expected the kids miss Maan and Geet.
