CHAPTER 68

Geet took the children to her grandparents room and tried to make them sleep. Veer and Rini slept immediately as soon as their head touched the pillow but Prithvi refused to settle down. Geet knew there something big has happened if Prithvi is so scared! Maan and Geet's eldest son, Prithvi was bravest among triplets and much braver than many adults! Finally, Geet cuddled with Prithvi requesting Maan to leave them alone as Prithvi will only open up in front of Geet. Maan left from Geet and Prithvi's presence, but was hiding behind the curtain and listening.
"Prithvi beta, dekhiye abb koi nahin hai. Aap Papa ke saamne sharmaa rahe the, toh humne unhein bhi bahaar jaane ko kahaa hai. Jo bhi baat aap ko pareshaan kar rahi hai, hummei baataiye?" (Prithvi, see now we both are alone! You were hesitant to speak in front of Papa, so I sent him outside of the room. Now tell me what is troubling you?)
Prithvi was still very scared but on Geet's support and encouragement hesitantly said, "Maa-sa, aaj jo uncle chocolates lekar aaye the..." (Mom, the uncle who got chocolates today...)
"Munshiji?"
"Haan! Wahi uncle, jinki di huyi chocolates ko khaa kar pussy soe gai thee unhone aapke aur Dad ke baare mei bura kaha!" (Yes! The same uncle eating whose chocolates, pussy went to sleep. He was saying bad things about you and Papa.)
"Kya kahaa beta?" (What did he say my son?)
"Jab hum shahi bagiche mein Deepak bhaiya (servant) ke saath khel rahe the, Chocolatewale uncle ne ek aunty se kahaa ki Bade Mama-sa ke vivaah ke samay woh Papa aur aapko bhagwan ke ghar le jaayenge. Aur wahaan se aap dono kabhi nahi aa sakte!" (I was playing in the garden with Deepak, the uncle who got chocolates said to one aunty that on Uncle Armaan's wedding he will send Papa and you to God's home, from where you will never return!)
"Nahi beta! Aap ko galatfahami hui hai!" (No my dear! You have had a misunderstanding!)
"Nahi Maa-sa! Woh baar-baar aunty se kah rahe the ki woh Papa aur aapko bhagwan ke ghar le jaayenge. Woh aunty unn uncle ko baar-baar manna kar rahi theen ki yeh baat theek nahi hai!" (No Mom! He repeated to the aunty again and again that he will send Papa and you to God's home, from where you will never return! Aunty kept making him understand that what he is doing is wrong but he refused to listen!)
Maan was shocked to hear about Munshiji's evil plan! Geet somehow calmed and relaxed Prithvi and soon he went to sleep. Once Prithvi was in deep sleep, Maan walked in. He looked at Geet and said in a low pitched angry voice with his clenched teeth, "Tum kabtak mere se baatein chuppaya karogi?" (Till when will you hide everything from me?)
Geet understood that this conversation will take long, hence held Maan's hand and left the room where children were sleeping. They were standing at the doorway which was far from children to hear their heated argument, and near enough for Maaneet to hear the triplets, if they woke up! "Hum samjhe nahi? Humne kaunsi baat aapse chipayi hai?" (I did not understand, what have I hidden from you?)
"Mishty mujhe kyun nahi battaya ki Munshiji ki laayi huyi chocolates se billi marr gaayi?" (Mishty, why did you not tell me that by eating Munshiji's brought chocolate a cat died?)
"Iss ke do kaaran the-- pahela ki Munshiji Khurana raj parivaar ke sabse vishwasniye karyekarta hain; aur dusara humare paas koi thoss pramaan (sufficient proof) nahi hai!" (There are two reasons-first Munshiji is an old loyal employee and second I had no solid proof.)
Past once again hitting Maan. Bringing back to his mind what hurting words he said to Geet six years back! "Ek marri huyi billi proof nahi hai?"(Wasn't dead cat proof enough?)
"Kintu yeh kaise pramaanit karten ki mrityu chocolates ke kaaran huyi hai, kissi aur kaaran se nahi?" (But, how could I prove that cat died only because of chocolates and not something else!) Geet had a valid point that there was no definite proof that the cat had died only because of consuming chocolates ?
"Bhabhi, theek keh raheen hain!" (Geet is right!)
"Vicky!!!"
"Aap jaante the bhaiya?" (You know, Vicky?)
"Haan bhabhi! Maine aapki aur Adi bhai ki baate sunn lee thee. Magar nahi jaanta tha ki Prithvi ne bhi Munshiji ki baatein sunn lee theen!" (Yes Geet! I had heard your and Adi's conversation. I was not aware that Prithvi had heard Munshiji's murderous plan!)
"Magar tum dono ne mujhe kyun nahin bataaya!" (Why didn't you both tell me?)
"Bhai mai aapko aaj raat bataane wala thaa, magar Prithvi uss se pahele hi darr gayaa!" (Bro, I was going to tell you tonight but before I could tell you, Prithvi got scared.)
"Badale ki bhavana badi khatarnak hoti hai. Aap dono bhai, Dadimaa, Pitaji aur Riddhima didi ka dhyaan rakhiyega. Visheshkar aap (indicating towards Maan) kyunki Munshiji aapko Sasha ki mrityu ke liye zimmedaar maante hain!" (Revenge is a very dangerous emotion! You both brothers see to security of Dadimaa, Pitaji and Riddhima. Especially you (indicating towards Maan), because Munishiji considers you, Maan to be the cause of Sasha's death.)
Maan hugged his intelligent wife and decided few things. He told Geet, "Mishty for sake of children's security, I suggest you keep them here in Rajgarh!"
"Kintu hummei aapki suraksha lekar adhik chinta hai!" (But I'm more concern about your security and safety!)
"Bhabhi, you don't worry! Mai humesha bhaiya ke saath rahonga !" (Geet, you don't worry! I'll be with bro all the time!)
"Tum meri chinta matt karo! Abb jab mujhe maloom hai ki kaun humare parivaar, mere aur Khurana khandaan ko nuksaan puchana chahta hain, mai alert rahunga!" (You don't worry about me! Now that I'm aware of the culprit who is trying to harm my family, me and Khurana Royal family. I'll remain very alert!)
Making Geet slightly relaxed. But before Geet could reply there was a slight whimpering from inside. Geet immediately ran inside to find Prithvi again restless! She took Prithvi in her tight motherly embrace and cuddled him to her until he slept. Then got in bed next to him, switched off all the lights except night light and went to sleep! Meanwhile outside Maan and Vicky were talking about next plan of action, when Singhania brothers overhead their conversation. Singhania brothers had come to ask Khurana brothers if they need anything for the night i.e. night dress, toothpaste, toothbrush etc. as they had come in hurry from Rampur? Maan explained the whole situation and asked Armaan to be very careful about Geet's and triplets security! Then Maan went inside and got in the quilt covering his wife. He covered triplets with seperate three quilts! Maaneet hugged each other and went to sleep.
Next morning, Geet woke up again not feeling in best of health but took bath in hot water and got relaxed. Then went to kitchen and started preparing breakfast of everyone's liking. She thought to pamper triplets and make them forget last night's insecurities. She made chocolate pancakes (Prithvi's favourite) and also plain pancakes with maple syrup for Armaan, Vicky and Veer's favourite. Pasta for Maan and Rini. Poha with peas for rest family. But when she made Poha, the smell made her rush to the washroom. Making her suspect something and bringing a smile on her face.
Geet was praying to her Kanahji to let all three wedding happen safely and happily! It was now only three days for Armaan and Arjun's wedding and a week for Vicky and Meera's wedding! The functions were to start from today at bride's side and at bridegroom's side. Today there was 'lagan patrika' (formal invitation to bridegroom to come and wed their bride), sangeet & mehendi at bride's home. Today was mehendi at bridegroom's home.
Vicky and Yash had organized tomorrow a "Bachelor Party" (which only boys of both sides were aware of! Even Geet was not aware of it.) Although Armaan and Arjun were not agreeing for 'Bachelor Party' as they were scared of their respective brides. But when Vicky and Yash started teasing them saying that they are "Joru-ke-ghulam", the two Singhania brother's agreed with reluctance but only on the condition that "Vicky's Bachelor Party" will also be at same time. Vicky was taken aback at this condition and was refusing. Vicky felt that after so much wooing Meera finally agreed to marry him. If Meera comes to know about 'Bachelor Party for Vicky' what will happen? Yash could guess what was going on in Vicky's mind seeing changing expression on his face. Yash used his trump card and said, "Vicky bhai, just now no one knows about "ARMAAN bhai-sa and ARJUN bhai-sa's BACHELOR PARTY”, but once my both brothers’ are married, my both bhabhis will become aware of it. Making it difficult for you to have your Bachelor Party as they will inform Meera bhabhi. I hope you don't become like Jeejaji, who has been married three times but has not even had one Bachelor Party!"
Now how could Vicky get married without having his own Bachelor Party, hence enthusiastically agreed. Maan was not aware of Bachelor Party being hosted in "Shatranj Mahal" by Yash and Vicky. Maan was now very busy with Adi and his security chief arranging for invisible but tight security for his family! He got CCTV cameras, microphones & numerous security devices installed in places which are not easily visible to the naked eye but each and every corner of the Rampur palace is under surveillance!
