Women & their Legal Marital Rights

Well, I am sorry that I couldn’t have a sane discussion in my last thread which was locked even before I could comment. Nonetheless, I am bringing forward another food for thought.

Well, let’s start from the start as my response is an extremely to the point answer to the track. I have been a neutral viewer of the show from Day 1 and did watch with a lot of passion in the intial days because of the highest nostalgia of KzK 1. Not forgetting to mention, not a fan of S1 too but nostalgia is infectious and the hook line for the REBOOT was nostalgia and Parth.

Things slowly changed as I was supremely BORED. I am entitled to call the show BORING because nothing, almost nothing could make me watch it.

I came back again when the separation of Anupre due to the shrewd businessman was done and Ioved the track. Not taking any names here as it’s against the rules.

Having said all of that, I didn’t stop watching even after my favourite characters exit. I like the nostalgia, I continued till a point I couldn’t take it any more. I hope above said reasons are valid enough for me making a strong point of dissatisfaction as a viewer.

Thank you, but it’s the 21st century and we women are exploring topics such as equality, we talk about women’s empowerment! I don’t see any charm in a woman fighting another woman for her rights!!!

My point of opening this topic is the constant repeat and recycle of events and tracks! Yes, it’s true, the show tops juvenile redundancy and takes it up to a level higher. To a point where viewers like me nod their heads in disbelief.

My entire definition of a strong woman is different from others, Prerna doesn’t have to necessarily fight or sacrifice but she has to prioritise about herself. We women are the most apologetic species and that’s what my problem with the show is. If she has to fight, let her fight the family!

But, how can she fight? Because, she doesn’t have any LEGAL rights. We come across women who are cheated in marriages by Mandir Shaadis. Don’t you think it would have been a phenomenal track to show the importance of Legal rights for women? But, no, wait, we have claims of a 21st century woman working and fighting another legally wedded wife of someone.

Love is above all for me. I care a damn for the laws of the land but love has to elevate you and not drown you in misery. My problem with the track is the repetition of a Prerna fighting Komolika!

Sautén drama puts women in as light and I particularly hate it when women fight! Men too! Last track, two men fighting over a woman was repeated to death! So, what’s exactly new that is being shown in the show?

You think a single character or actor is responsible for TRP? No, it’s fabulous storytelling or massy content. This show neither has massy content nor elite storytelling. The current track is totally reflective of the lack of creativity. Full stop.

Right now it's Tracks wahi, Face nayi! Wahi same Komo Vs. Pre track with a new Komo because the writters do not know what to show as you pointed out. Is ekta even caring about the show? I wonder!

The lead couple has been summarily rejected by the TRP audience time and again! Be it the Engagement sequence or the milan sequence running through the past weeks. Despite giving massive on-line and off line promotions such as back to back milan promos, Star Parivaar Performances, all expenses paid trips for promotions, offscreen promotions and all. Nothing has been working in favour of said couple. And why not? Because TRP audience is not interested in such stories that promote EMA, Adultry, Molestation, Domestic Violence, Violence on women etc all in the name of LOVE.

Therefore, they are re-vising the same Komo-Pre track to attract the TRP audience!!! But have they cared back?

The last track glorified obsession for a married woman, stalking a married woman, inappropriately touching a married womaneven after her asking repeatedly not to, references to kidnapping to said married woman, EMA, adultry, Self-harm, emotional manupulation, and what not all.

In real life, such obsessive stalker characters either end up killing their love interest or the husband and sometimes both! And KZK promoted all these despicable acts and lables it as LOVE. No wonder the trp audience rejected it.

Another show has a similar premise of a pregnant women married against her wish to another man with a child. But that show is a trp topper with no big names or any other drama. That shows the audience wants the FL to honor their marriage and relationships! Not commit to adultery unlike this show.

And still they are resorting to adultery, showing such a weakling in the name of a FL who is now heavily pregnant.

As always manzil you are on point. In the 21st century we are still seeing a woman in an Indian tv show lacking the spine and self respect to stand up for herself. Love yourself and put yourself first. This show is indeed boring. a certain character that recently exited only made me watch it but even when that character was there the whole track was entitled to soulmate love saga. Love is suppose to elevate you. Provide you with happiness and peace. Where in prerna love is she happy and at peace. Again for the million time she has to fight for her love and right. And what's worse is that she is pregnant and writers don't even care to put in a scene of her thinking of the child. There is always one person in her mind other than her family, herself and child.

I also forgot to add the story line goes where she always have to save her lover or fight for her so call rights. Repeative and predictable. Even trp audience can predict the storyline . Not to mention prerna is fighting against komolika who is anurag legal wife. Yes his legal wife from when he married her before her so called death. Her being alive means she is still his wife.

Trashy drama of two jobless women fighting for a worthless man is so outdated and disgusting. It stinks! And such a despicable behaviour is labelled sassy? Tragic!

Don’t women have a life beyond a man? Why does the female protagonist of this show have to step in to SAVE a man and his family every damn time? Don’t they have the spine to help/protect themselves that they use a weakling as a shield?

How can one forcibly stay in a house where everyone loathes,humiliates, and constantly derides deceased kin? And as pointed out, what are the so-called rights? Toxic!

This female lead is ITV’s worst offering…so is the so-called love saga.

Love is supposed to elevate. What happened here? Individuality and self-respect vanished like it never existed, the woman got impregnated after wedding promises and then abandoned, her father died, mother got humiliated and jailed, recently the house got burnt to ashes, and a lot more. And we are supposed to laud this epic love. LOL!

Does this female have a breaking point?

I have left the show the time Bajaj exit.

Bt one thing is missing from starting I don't see anything in prena which 21st century girl should have.

Loving some one is ok but loving forgetting your self respect and your individuality is a big no

In updates I read she again went there at bb fine why she has to decorate the SS room for them is she a servant there she said no to sonalika cannot say no to mohini why correct me if I am wrong since I am not waching.

This is basic thing and simple but respect comes from small things only if you don't respect yourself no one will do that for you. I wish they would have shown independent strong earning mother

I don't understand why all ITV serials starts with marriage and ends I marriage everything. Is there no life without that.

I watch same production house charector in fitrat so gud schech of that strong independent girl was shown why you need a man to take care of you and make your wishes comes true you yourself can do it for yourself.

The whole ITV shows needs revolution in my thoughts 🤗

I think as per your own logic of offscreen trips , promotions and all somehow worked in favour of leads in first 5 months so TRP audiance really were instrersted in their offscreen promotions 😮😮😮 poor them they only got leads breakup and ignorance of each other on social media and fighting news that dissapointing many during last track😔. If ekta knew TRP was really interested in this she could have sent the other two also for same promotion to sail the boat for audiance. Jokes apart no personal life of an actor or actress is cared about when it comes to liking the show not for trp audiance atleast if thats true as people keep saying show the proofs.

Now to another point that you made about TRP audiance about liking and not liking how is its that they liked it back in NB and KOMO track? Any guesses for that or is it because poor audiance wanted to believe pre's dhaga shaddi over so called anu kom legal marraige. Hmmmm TRP aunties are biased now. They are ok with woman manhandling slapping and objectifying men but not other way around. Also how can we forget in the name of love someone else also did stalking, blackmailing and murder in the same name of love well that also was rejected even though someone was legally married.

Lets make it simple either its one of the two either audiance bought the dhaga shaddi and were calling komo fake bahu so as per current FB and all that was shown before last track for audiance it was someone else who was stalking a married woman. If that is not true than i think audiance got feedup seeing pres tears and also with blackmail and murder turned turning point for them make mends with track. KOMO track and Last track has every bit of similarity its just people here are selective to see atya char on pre by her ex but no one is seeing atyar char on anu by her ex at that time was cheered upon. All the promos and engagement sequence that you were talking about was rejected because no old audiance were instrersted in overshadowed of someone constat on face again again leads seperating after end of komo track 3 episodes back and same is the faith at the starting of this current track. Same kind of nonsesne promo they showed with anu kom shaddi but with the twist of pre fighting hence people stick to it.

Whatever words you have used are serious crimes but selectively you have left out the most obvious ones as per your liking which was the starting stage for all the other crimes that you have mentioned.

I think TM made a vaid question but its sad that makers fail to do anything good with 2019 story or creativity before or now and they are seeing that result right now on face.

Love empowers, it does not degrade. What degrades you can never be love, let alone divine love as the makers try to portray. The lead couples love has only degraded them as individual people and also negatively affected the people around them.

The FL who was introduced as a bubbly and sweet belle has been reduced to a boring, selfish, cold and uni-dimensional character whose only purpose on the show is to glorify the ML. Her whole and sole existence is dependent on the ML. She is given trashy dialogues that she wants to be important to no one except the ML which is purely cringe-worthy. No individuality, no self worth, no self respect no nothing! The FL has no say in anything. She has no thoughts, likes, dislikes, dreams, aspirations, etc. She is just present to romance the ML and so what the ML wants her to do and when she does not do it, the ML harasses her until she complies. The FL is going through the worst phase of her life. She set out to earn a living and re-build her childhood home. But what do we see, again degradation of the character for cheap lollipop scenes under the garb of romance! She behaves like a bumbling-blushing teenager when touched by the ML. All thoughts of re-building lost home goes poof in air once the ML comes in the field of her vision. The FL is least bothered about the plight of her family and is busy romancing her married boss-cum-father of child in the office first and now at BB again, right in front of the legally wedded wife of the ML. The FL was more interested in earning browny points from her MIL that she turned a blind eye to the insults and taunts thrown at her mother, father and family in general. The FL was shown to prioritize her upcoming marriage to the ML to the extent that she allowed her mother to be harassed, insulted, bad mouthed, dragged to jail by soon-to-become MIL. A women of today will flay anyone who disrespects her parents! Here the FL was more interested in getting married than than worry about her parents reputation or plight! In real life, the girl would break the engagement and never look back such a relationship, soulmate or not! The worst of all, the FL is waiting for ML's memory to return so that they can re-kindle their love story (read adultery) with no consideration to the ML's wife. The FL does not know about Komo or the Pics. To her, Sona is the legal wife of ML and his savior as well. She did not for once show any form of gratitude to Sona for saving the ML. During her convo with Shivi, she indicated that she will be back in BB once the ML's memory returns, without sparing a thought towards Sona, the wife. How she would feel about all this! The FL appears to be waiting to once again take on the role of a home wrecker!

The ML who was a sweet and shy Bengali babu has been reduced to an obsessive stalker and serial adulterer. He cheated on Mishka by sleeping with a hesitant and reluctant FL right after declaration of love and is now again cheating on Sonalika, who is his savior and legal wife. The ML has never ever respected her requests or inquired what she wants. If her wants match his, then they are fulfilled, else the ML imposes himself or his needs/wants/wishes on the FL. That included pressurizing the reluctant FL into sleeping with him while being engaged with another women. The ML has even slapped, molested, invaded her personal space, continuously harassed the FL in the name of love! The ML planned his own accident without sparing a thought towards his paralyzed father, mother and sister! The ML is now flirting and inappropriately touching his pregnant and married childhood friend whom he has not met since many years. I would like to know which childhood friend picks up their married and pregnant childhood friend, after meeting them again post many years? The FL was not so grievously hurt that she could not walk. He could have supported her and helped her walk. But no, directly pick her up. Then again touch her inappropriately in a dark and closed store room. A real world women would have slapped the ML for touching them like that in such circumstances but here all this allowed to pass under the garb of romance. The funny thing is despite having a sister, the ML does not seem to know how to behave and respect women and their wishes.

The FL be like -

This FL is useless. I haven't seen a worse written character in Indian Tele. There might be many I am sure, but I will definitely not watch even a single epi of those shows. I SO wish they hadn't called this rotten thing a reboot of KZK1.0 so that it won't bother me at all. I am so sorry for myself for seeing this version of Prerna. Ekta should come up with an apology to her original Prerna once they wind up this show. 😡

Precisely, when I saw the Instagram promo shot, I was like, why does it look so familiar? It’s simply because I have seen this 6 months ago!

I am not sure about what TRP junta loves but one thing is for sure, the lead couple is completely lacklustre in terms of engagement. I mean they practically have zero interactions and viewers are supposed to soak in their divine love!

Even if they do revisit, they barely can add anything much to the story. It’s a complete snooze fest now.

That was precisely the problem with the last track. Had it shown Anurag searching for answers after grieving, it would have made the story progress. Instead, we get hug, trip and fall scenes. Touching each other romantically! A TRP audience always prefers to uphold the sanctity of a marriage and this totally negatively affected the storytelling!

True, Fighting Komolika has better options and not romancing another woman. I wish they had shown the turmoil, the questioning etc. Instead, I get a pregnant woman being carried by a childhood friend or whatever.
Even if technically she is the mother of his child but hello, they aren’t even legally married!
