Akash could t care less about her. For a moment Khushi felt helpless about losing out on her first love but if she thinks practically,she realizes that Principles Gentleman Akash was only a facade. There are chunks in his armour.

On the other hand Arnav is turning out to be the gem that was being hidden by the black exterior.

Akash is a ;lawyer and its obvious that he has a way with words. But Khushi being one herself should be able to read through the facade.

Why did Arnav tell Khushi that Aakash is dating Natasha Oberoi ? Was he assuring himself that Aakash has moved on and he does not need to worry about Aakash's feelings for Khushi anymore?

No, Arnav never said that Akash is/was dating Natasha. He said that Akash was being set up with Natasha, a proposal being considered for family and status benefit.

As for Arnav's reassurance, well his bubble will burst soon
