Bala Has A Pretty Good Start

Bala opened well with occupancy of around 25-30% though it was lower than Dream Girl as mass centres were less. Dream Girl also did not open well outside multiplexes in A centres but that film had had better music which probably gave it a better start in mass centres.

Still the film may have a chance to be similar to the Dream Girl number or maybe even a little better as it should do better in the evening than that film in the bigger multiplexes. If the film had better music it would have easily gone past the initial of Dream Girl. The film is very wide release for the content that is going to around 3000 screens but despite the wide release it will probably remain a multiplex film in the A centres. The top openings this year in terms of initial occupancy this year till date are as follows.

Just back from Bala .A hilarious entertainer that makes you laugh out loud at several points also conveys a strong message in the final tally .The first half is a non stop laugh riot when Ayushman tries every tricks to gain his hair back .The second half takes a serious turn and the entire court drama could have been executed better .The climax is bit different from ur regular movies .Ayushman is an absolute ace .A fine watch

Bala Opening Day Business - 13th For 2019

Bala had a good opening day as it collected around 9.50-9.75 crore nett apprx on day one. The collections were similar to Dream Girl which collected 9.43 crore nett on day one. That film had better collections in UP, CI and Rajasthan while here Mumbai and Bangalore was better. Basically the collections at multiplexes outside North were slightly better while Dream Girl had better collections in mass pockets though not Gujarat / Saurashtra.

The film is the highest opening for Ayushmaan Khurana but by a very slender margin of a few lakhs. The film has a wider release also as compared to Dream Girl but that is not important as the last 500-700 odd acreens hardly make a difference as they hardly collect for these films with lesser face value. The film will be hoping to surpass Dream Girl or at least be in the same range. It could show better growth than Dream Girl as it was a little better at multiplexes but it will the Monday comparison that will tell how this film stands with that film. The opening is the 13th best of the year and below are the 11th-20th opening days of the year. like Dream Girl it has beaten some of the bigger films like Manikarnika and De De Pyaar De.

Decent film , Nothing extraordinary.

More drama , less comedy , second half main to wait karte reh gaye comedy ke lie.

Yami continue to make us fall in love with her.

Bhoomi fake dark complexion stands out as eyesore.

Yami acted better , Bhoomi character wohi same toilet wali film ka.

Baki sab plot predictable hai

One time watch good movie.

Its simpleton comedy definitely not masterpiece but its total paisa vasool movie. Comedy in the first half will tickle all your funny bones.
Why was Bhumi made to wear black grease ? Simple black would have done the work.

Yami looks beautiful, charming and funny.

Once again our Ayushmaan babu steals the show. The only actor in current lot who has guts to try new and different stories which is risky, yet not too arty, documentary type .

The movie is definitely one or two time watch. Much better than recent release Ujada Chaman.

The movie was alright. Yeah nothing extra ordinary .. but probably best acting by ayushman compared to all his other films. It was very funny in parts. Bhumi was blah.. found her acting irritating at times. Though Yami was one of the best part of the film. Her acting as the tik tok queen was bang on!! Also one part where she has to do some over acting was very very hilarious. Would love to see her in more movies.
