Anyone here read the Harappa Trilogy by Vineet Bajpai? If so, please share your experience. I wanted to try a new author's work on similar theme as Amish's and this popped up on recommendations.

Also, should I buy the Ram Chandra series? I know we had a discussion on it here but I can't find it and I want to know whether it is really worth investing in.

Happy Deewali everyone. Diya, Rama series of Amish is gud. Specially last two books. I found first book a little boring but Sita and Raavan's point of view were interesting. Sita is shown one strong character. And I am a little happy that Amish didn't try to make Raavan a misguided youth.

Thanks Mannu. I ordered it. Hopefully I'll get it this week and complete the series the within the next few weeks.

I'll like to see Sita and Ravan as strong personalities. They were both accomplished warriors and Ravan was one of the best scholars, afterall.

Anyone reading any new book?

I read the first of three chapters (the story of Perseus) of the book The Heroes by Charles Kingsley. It's about the heroes in Greek mythology and I liked it very much. It was just the sort of precise telling that I was hoping for as a novice in Greek mythology, with brief history or references given wherever needed. I don't know if you are interested in Greek mythology or mythology in general, but if you want to give it a try, this is definitely a book I'll recommend.
