Here the issue is they established AnuPre for a year audience loved them and had connect with them. They feel they are ideal for each other and they can't undo them and their story bringing character with poor character sketch, made character done brutal things to both leads and just undo those brutal acts without any proper redemption or justification and tried to fix the character with FL is what backfired.

And they played with USP of the show, no it's not about only Chemistry here. I will give so many examples of shows having leads with amazing Chemistry but failed in getting audience. It's love story how it's told plays a part too. Just chemistry don't bring audience.

i too know the many example where chemistry was great but show shutdown . main point is connection to leads & audience akways give them.a chance to get back eachother

Its simple wht worked in the past doesnt work anymore. ITV is regressive but u cant challenge the sensibility of the audience. They judge and understand underlying emotions and values. And most importantly knows wht to expect from whom. Isliye at one end they accepted child marriage show for the simple reason they knew wht thy wud get in the parcel. That was the audience who chose to watch the show and accepted it as a package. However fooling them with whitewashing failed coz they cud see the hypocrisy of the naration. Trp audience aren't seasonal audience. They connect with characters and understand them. And they watch shows for entertainment and not shocks.

Crimes are always crimes. The point you mentioned about KZK theme of Pre marriage to Bajaj and then Anu's fighting even he knew that she's now married. S1 stand out in this situation, they never allowed Anu to go and fight for Pre. He's just sit and pray for her happiness when she left him and married Bajaj. Well they just made a reason for this time, because that sacrifice thing is not out for so long so Anu fighting here is pretty much justified.

Everyone support good and mature content is totally right, because this is all we want, but supporting EMA, i don't think these is a single maturity thing in there.

The good example i have is currently running Pak show MPTH. They just nailed it in when it comes to content.
