Yes .. Did you notice that feeling and satisfaction of accomplishment when he manages to kill Shobha.... That slight smile that Anna beams when Shobha gives up struggling demonstrates his inborn killer instinct which only beasts are born with.... Kudos to the director for successfully managing to portray it and a thumbs up to Madhav Abhyankar .... Only he could have pulled off such a difficult role .

Now talking of hypothetical possibilities, the first mistake committed by Shobha was NOT to kill both when they were fast asleep... She had a chance twice... She let go ...Secondly Shobha was extremely determined to avenge kashis death and was seething with vengeance and anger ....She should have shown desperation to grab some thing like a rod and then hide herself or take cover ... Shobha took leave of her in-laws fully knowing that she wouldn't return and that it was do or die .... A person who is mentally prepared to give it a final shot cannot surrender meekly and probably would go down fighting ..Also let us not forget the fact that it is easier for a person in dark room to attack someone who is coming from a room where there is light!!
