in reality people don't take that long to move on. Woman take a year or two. That's because their entire focus is on their husband and husband only. In this show prerna is close to Basu family so how can she move on faster when she lives next to them, see them and talk to them. If she lived far away then yes she can move on faster. Because at least prerna focus will be on kuki and bajaj. Take the house track for example. Prerna focus wasn't on bajaj family but Basu family because they lived in one house and she saw him everyday

He was shifted to the general ward today wanted a cabin but apparently they are full so hard luck there which also meant none of us could stay but superintendent allowed special permit for mom but then she was sent back. Tests were done results came, tomorrow HOD will have a word with us as in what to do next and follow up and all and whom to consult next etc. And i guess they will discharge him on Saturday. I am keeping my expectations very low. i have stopped watching completely. Unless RB comes back, there's no chance I'm interested. In the state of mind P is , I prefer him far away.
