Part - 46

At 2 pm, after their meeting with pratap, sid and his gang stopped by a hotel for lunch. When they were about to returning towards their car, sid was attacked by someone. It happened in a blink of an eye, leaving him no time to defend.

"Bhai!" Both sunny and rahul rushed to sid to hold him. He was hardly hit by a rod on his forehead and in no time, the blood flushed out of the wound.

Sunny held on to sid, who was already started to feel dizzy due to the wound and drove the car towards hospital. While rahul ran after the guy that attacked sid.

Later, at evening, in hospital room. Sid was treated and was yet to get his conscious back. Sunny sat at his bed side, waiting for him to wake up. A couple of moments later, sid slowly opened his eyes to found himself on the hospital bed. While rahul too entered into the room.

"Bhai, how are you feeling now?" Sunny asked, worriedly as he helped him to sit.

"What just happened?" As everything happened so quickly, sid couldn't remind of actually what had happened.

"You were attacked.." rahul replied in a serious tone. And his further sentence was interrupted by a phone call. He took his phone out and found roli's number on display.

As soon as he answered the call, roli started "bhaiya, where's siddu? I've been trying his number but he's not answering and same is the case with sunny bhaiya. Where you all are?".

"Roli, they both are with me" rahul answered. While sid got boost up hearing her name.

"Give phone to him, I want to talk" roli urged.

Rahul obediently passed the phone to sid and stood silently.

"Roli" called out sid, trying his best to not to sound weak.

"Are you okay?" Were the first words that roli asked him. Her voice contained a lot of concern and worry.

"Yeah, I'm fine" sid replied, sounding confident.

"Where were you all this while? You know how worried I was? I almost lost my life.." roli was quickly interrupted by sid.

"Roli.. I'm fine. No need to worry" sid comforted her.

"Then why you weren't answering my calls?" Roli asked strictly.

That was the moment sid realized that he wasn't having his phone with him. He looked at sunny and asked about his phone by signalling. Sunny took it out from his pocket and passed to sid.

Sid found so many missed calls from roli. "It's in silent mode so didn't notice your calls. Sorry" sid said, softly.

"Don't know why I was feeling so uneasy today. You're really fine, right?" Roli asked again to confirm herself.

"Everything is fine, roli" sid didn't say anything about the attack as he didn't want to make her worry.

"Okay then come home soon" roli said before hanging up the call.

Sid sighed in relief as at last she was convinced.

"What happened at the hotel?" Sid got back to his usual seriousness and asked.

"Have you both remembered that guy sent by veeru in to our gang a few days back?" Rahul asked.

"Yeah and we taught him a good lesson too" sunny said with a pride.

"He's dead now" informed rahul seriously.

"What?" Both sid and sunny were shocked.

"He was just hospitalized, right?" Sunny reminded seeing him on hospital bed the next day of they attacked him.

"Yeah but, they hadn't have enough money for his treatment and he died" rahul said calmly.

"But, what it got to do with this attack on bhai?" Sunny asked with confusion.

"Today's attack on bhai was planned by his wife, prerna" replied rahul.

"What?" It was another shock for sunny. While sid calmly listened to them without saying anything.

"When I followed the guy that attacked bhai today, he told about her and luckily I managed to found her too. She's out for revenge. Not only that, she even knows about bhai's marriage with roli. She seems to be spying on him all these days" explained rahul with a serious expression.

"I locked her in our place before coming here" rahul continued.

"Why don't we just kill her than locking in a room and taking care of her?" Sunny raged in anger.

"No need to kill her. Just keep her locked in until we deal with veeru." sid finally spoke up.

"We'll take care of it, bhai. You just take rest for few days" rahul said, concerned.

"Now I should go home. Roli is too worried" sid said as he stood up.

"What you're gonna tell her about this?" Rahul asked, pointing at Sid's forehead where he was wounded.

"Not the truth, of course. And you both too, don't tell her about all these" reminded sid, in a strict manner.

Sunny whispered in rahul's ears "don't you think bhai is being too sensitive after meeting roli?".

Sunny was rather surprised by Sid's decision of not killing the woman, who tried to kill him. It was so unusual of him. So he just analysed the changes in sid.

"May be that's the power of love. It can change anyone" rahul whispered back in a low voice.

"You seems to know a lot about love. What's the matter? Have you too found someone" Sunny asked with a smirk.

Rahul started coughing hearing his question.

"What happened?" Sid, who just turned to them and unaware of their conversation, looked at them, confused.

"Bhai rahul..."

"Sunny go and pay the bill" before sunny could say anything, rahul pushed him out of the room with a reason of bill payment.

"Let's go, bhai" rahul then turned to sid and said with a sigh.

"What happened di, you look worried?" Asked tanvi as she reached roli near dining table.

"I don't know" roli replied as she sat in chair. "I'm just worried about siddu" she continued.

"Is everything alright?" Tanvi asked with a concern.

"I hope so. But, today I don't feel good. It seems like something bad might happen. May be I'm over thinking..."

"Or may be you're not" tanvi interrupted roli. Roli looked up and found tanvi standing like a statue, looking at the entrance.

Roli turned around only to find sid entering in to the hall with a wound. She quickly stood up and rushed near him.

Sid watched her but he didn't know what to say at the moment. Roli stood before him and kept quiet as her heart was thumping too fast in its place.

"Wh.. what.. happened?" Roli's words struggled to come out of her mouth.

Rahul and sunny exchanged looks as they didn't know what to answer and let sid to handle it alone.

"It's nothing, roli. Just a small accident" sid lied, though he never wanted to.

Roli slowly touched his wound as tears were already started floating in her eyes. Sid held her hand and kept it over his chest.

"I'm completely fine. Don't start crying now" sid said in a gentle tone.

"Where you were when I talked to you?" Roli jumped on to the point.

Sid fell silent, hearing her question. "Hospital" though he tried but, couldn't help himself from telling the truth after looking in to her eyes.

Roli took out her hand from his hold. "You both too lied to me" she said, turning to rahul and sunny.

They both were short of words as they watched roli in tears. Thus, they remained silent.

"Roli, I..."

"Go to room and take rest" roli didn't let sid to speak and ordered him to rest. She then didn't wait for his response and rushed in to kitchen.

Sid didn't want to make her feel more worried so, he did as she said and went to their room.

A few minutes later, roli entered in to their room with a glass of juice. She directly went to keep the glass on bedside drawer, ignoring sid, who was sitting in bed and gazing at her.

"Have it" roli said without looking at him and stood, crossing her arms like a strict teacher.

Sid chuckled and pulled her in to his arms.

"What are you doing. Leave me. You don't have the right to do this" roli tried to get away from him.

"I don't have the right?" Sid looked at her with confusion.

"Yes, you don't have cause you lied to me" roli looked at him in anger.

"You know how worried I was since you left home this morning. And what you did, you just lied to me when you were in hospital" roli yelled at him and raised her hand to punch him but stopped looking at his wound.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she fell on to his chest. Sid tried to hug her back but, she shoved his hand away and didn't let him to do so.

"I was scared" she weeped in his arms, leaving her tries to stop him from hugging her.

Sid hugged her tightly and closed his eyes. He felt guilty for making her cry and worried for him.

"Hey roli.." he cupped her face and continued "..I didn't lie to you because I wanted to. I just had to do it because I don't want to make you worried".

"This shouldn't repeat. You shouldn't let yourself get hurt like this again" roli said, with determination.

"It won't. I promise" sid agreed and hugged her again.

Roli felt relieved in his embrace as her heart finally got back to ease.

"Enough now" roli got up from his chest and took the juice glass. "Complete this" she forwarded it to sid.

"I want some other energy drinks" sid said, gazing at her, contently.

Understanding of what he meant, roli felt speechless. She wondered how could he think of romance in such a situation, when he actually needed rest.

But, even before she could respond anything, he had already kept the juice glass back on the drawer and pulled her in to his arms, capturing her soft lips with his rough ones.

Roli held his shirt tightly. She tried to pull back as she was worried that his wound might get hurt. But, sid kept kissing her passionately, sparing her with no other choice than to respond.

Time passed quickly. Sunny and rahul left the bharadwaj house after having dinner with all.

After that accident with sid, roli didn't allow him to move out of the house. Though she didn't know what had exactly happened, she strictly ordered sid not to go to work until he recovered.

Sunny even joked that sid had been kept under house arrest by roli. And he gained a good glare from sid for his comment.

It took almost fifteen days for sid to completely heal his wound. And in these days sunny and rahul took care of Sid's other works.

While sid was at home, taking rest, he helped roli regarding business matters. She even started taking care of her dad's business by staying at home.

And soon she got busy with the work, which she felt interesting. After recovering, sid too got back to his work.
