This is, I think going to be the underlying theme this season. The overall story arc is going to be one of society vs divinity. That's the reason why anupre are shown to exchange marriage rituals again and again in front of durga Maa but never in front of the society. People keep coming in between to separate them but they have the blessings of the divinity so they will keep meeting again and again until the point they are separated forever (death) only to meet forever.

My thoughts exactly....

For it will serve many purposes all at once.

Firstly it will pave way for AnuPre separation yer again without butchering Anurag. If Anu is shown doubting the paternity of the child despite knowing the status of her relationship with her ex-husband, that will butcher Anurag's character to no end. That is the risk they would not be taking, at least not at this juncture, after having been the first hand witness of where it landed the Show when they tried it before...

Secondly, I feel, it is now Pre's turn to not give up on Anurag as Anu didn't give up on Pre during her deal wala shaadi, depite not knowing the reason of the marriage at the first place.

Thirdly, it will set the stage to start the next phase of drama surrounding the child. If Basus recognize Komo, the whole purpose will be trounced.
