Not in the way that it was written. The way it was presented to him was that Shahid Kapoor should be criticized because he played that kinda character. So Saif said, but you know, in hindi films these kinda characters were very prevalent, and then referenced how Shahrukh's entire initial career was playing these kinda obsessive lovers.
