Actually, I have seen these kind of relationships in my real life. My comment was based on that. My Grandmother's sister's husband was Schizophrenic (deceived before marriage).. neither of them are alive today, but her husband was on medication throughout his life. They had a son who was completely normal, well behaved, good in studies too, but when he turned 16, something happened and he became mentally ill. He was also put on medication and wasn't normal without them. He was married to lady, who was ok to marry despite being ill because she was from a very poor family. She is not too good at heart though, note likable at all.. !!(Gauhar in the show is poor too.!!) He died young. He was normal to be around, has a son who is around 30 today - there is something off in his behavior, he is not diagnosed but I don't find him normal from the way he talks to people and behaves. Its easy to make out.

I know another family - extremely good looking couple. He was from a super rich family. Lived too much in his head. Didn't work hard to do anything & drank - did too much drugs - his idleness made him mentally ill. He has been sober for years now. They lost all the money & his wife supports him. Has 3 extremely beautiful daughters, their beauty is out of ordinary -eye catching. No one can avoid looking at them if they were to pass by. They are in trauma because of the only man in their life & never want to marry.

When one thinks of starting a family; you just wouldn't think of giving someone a chance. It will impact generations & of course not just the individual himself/herself - the family as well.

I know everyone deserves a chance, but in the real world if someone were to know this already they wouldn't marry - unless they would be in love. But when practicality & reality of life hits you - love fizzles our faster than a soda bottle just opened.

I would also like to point out that it depends on the mental illness as well. There are some that are treatable & curable. Sameer has severe case of schizophrenia from what they have shown here. In a real life situation, it would be good to focus on him getting the help he needs. Love doesn't solve real life problems like they show on tv/ movies. Sure, a supportive partner can help though. It would be better if they showed the realness if things here, showing her getting him into therapy etc. It should save lives, people in Desi culture think marriage solves behavioral problems & cure illnesses; having children solves problems in marrriage (so & so will be more responsible if s/he marries/ has kids or will improve their habits/ their anxiety or depression will get cured.) It doesn't work that way.

The seer at the dargah said that he will come back into her life once again.

My prediction of future tracks is - Gauhar marries Sameer, significantly cure him. He find his real mother.. hates his step mom. His Step mom kills him- puts the blame on Gauhar and her pehli mohabbat saves her.

Don't hit me please [:D]

The sad reality of our culture..even in this day..they would never address the issue, rather marriage (in other words, a girl with all her sanity) would fix the guy because oh he's fixable like that and doesn't need any other help!? PLEASE. It really bothers me and that's why I'm replying to your post with so much energy because I'm seeing it first hand in my own family these days and it's just insane to think like this for ANY girl. Get your son or whoever the help he needs firstttt! Mental illnesses need to be addressed and taken care of!

He has started seeing Gohar. If he marries her and she stays with him does it mean he will stop cross dressing and imagining her at night?
