My theory is that Swara has a lover who pretended to be a women, a dancer so that they could meet.

I think the saree was delivered to that man's house and he gave a saree to Swara. And when the saree delivery was made, the new Rane family was there and Anupriya saw that.

So Anupriya saw that man last with the Ranes before he died.

Now what's confusing is Asawari. Why does she care so much? Doesn't seem like she even likes Swara. So why is she so invested in this entire thing? And she's pretending to like Swara in front of Bapji and Sarthak. Hmm.
