@Bold: I think that's the main issue that Ek and others don't seem to get. Yes some might have not gotten attached to Anu or Pre or Anupre, but the fact remains, the show went on for 9 whole months without breaking this pairs love for each other and we went through all their kausauties along with them. Not everyone would jump ship just because a new hot dude is on the horizon. Emotions and attachments matter to a good amount of people and characters matter too.

So its Ok for the makers to play with our emotions and expect us to happily watch them cater to a whole new set of audience? Whether one admits or not, the show ran thus far due to us too...we spent our time and emotions on the show for nearly a year....and now we deserve to be played with and shouldn't even complain because it might hurt the feelings of the new audiences.

And EK's Do I CARE, NOOOO..What was that?....Her thank you for popularizing her show and her jodi for nearly a year along with them? Arey itna dum hey tho, they would have let Anurag go by now and would have made a good clean cut so Bajaj and Pre jodi would not have Anurag hanging over them like an unshakable shadow....Don't spout troll worthy bakwas just because you feel superior to us when you can't back it with action......Sorry but your cool business shark became a phuski shark with no teeth and an A grade coward who can't even face his own actions. Seems like you bit off more than you can chew, with playing every trick in the book to make Anupre fans feel they might not be together, but no third person would come between their love with the blessing of every diety you can think of....Now you have no idea how to wean off TRP audiance out of Anurag and Anupre....LOL...

Yeah I've had a lot of feelings since the Bajaj track started and was waiting to give it a fair bit of time before I made any big judgments. But I thoroughly disliked how the whole thing panned out. The fact is Parth and Erica had revolutionized these roles just by having such great chemistry with each other. That's why AnuPre has such dedicated fans. That's why it bothers me whenever they try to redo what they created before. Because everything about what they've made this past year is so different and new and honestly exciting, especially the Naveen Babu track. Where we saw some solid supporting cast performances and a compelling villain. Somehow even though they throw Prerna into the arms of Bajaj, quite literally in today's episode, just the fact that Anurag's fingers moved because Prerna was touching his hands made me happy. And it's this same joy they know AnuPre fans like us have for even the tiniest ray of hope that they toy with us. It's unfair because we're a pretty dedicated audience. Honestly if they just wanted Prerna and Bajaj together they shouldn't have given AnuPre a year's worth of development and love for each other. So many characters have tried to intervene and have come and gone. Like I said earlier, what makes Bajaj special that he deserves Prerna's love in return for his when Komolika didn't get hers and Naveen Babu didn't get his? There's nothing about him special enough for us to feel that way? Also Parth and Erica are just too convincing as a couple on screen that having Bajaj be with Prerna, how much ever she may learn to admire or respect him, just doesn't make sense.

Even i dont understand y makers r so scared of making bajaj negative. Bigger stars like Amitabh Bachahn, Shah rukh khan, Akshay Kumar hv played negative characters and hv stolen the show. Darr n bazigar r too remembered for Shahrukh khan. Isn't tht an actor's victory? I am sure if ksg is negative as bajaj he'll do n awesome job as he is a very fine actor. Every actor will get to play their individual wavelengths n will do justice rather than these confused portrayals where they go so out of sync tht audience dont know whom they r watching anymore.

In fact I think it'll be a good chapter in KSG's career to have him play an iconic character but negatively. It stays in line with the show's trajectory since it began and honestly just makes it all the more fun to watch. Imagine how satisfying it would be to see Bajaj manipulating Prerna all this while and actually being one step ahead and actually planning to harm Anurag. Also giving him a cool revenge type backstory. Having Moloy come back and tell us the truth and doing some cool new twist. We can have Bajaj be the villain that Komolika was supposed to be and do it better even. We could have some lighthearted fun with Maasi and Tanvi trying to reunite AnuPre by putting them in romantic situations and all. This show could be so sharp and well written and executed, if only Ekta stops playing with her audience's feelings and rather than try to appease everyone by giving us fleeting moments and ruining the leads' characterizations just allows the leads to be the leads and the villains to be the villains.

I definitely agree with you in that bold part. And that's exactly what I'm saying too. Let him be negative. Ronit is gone, Naveen Babu too, Komolika as well so far and Maasi and Tanvi are along the same lines as Mohini and Nivedita, not out and out villains, just love and greed ruling their actions. Bajaj can make a good villain, we loved the way he came on to the show, portrayed as a ruthless businessman. But these days he's doing less business and more immature, squabbling at home with Anurag. And him and Prerna just keep having the same fight about communication and trust. I enjoyed the maha episode and AnuPre reconnecting in a measured way once again. But seeing Bajaj kind of crumble and not be clear doesn't make sense with how he was introduced and portrayed to us. And if somehow it comes out that he was actually plotting Anurag's death and he genuinely made that move to hurt him, well that's a move I would respect. Because it gives his character direction. He goes on saying that he's always one step ahead of his enemies and his business rivals so I have a hard time believing he lost control in any of these situations. He always seems confused these days. I would love to see him just own up to it and just be evil. That would be so much more fun to watch. And I think he can have the same respect for doing that role so well the way we appreciate Sanjay sir even now.

Bold - This is because the EK & her CVs wanted to show Bajaj falling for Prerna so soon, without giving proper growth in his character arc. On one hand he tells Anu that he trusts Prerna and he doesn't need any explanation after seeing them together in the kitchen. While on the other hand, he gets insecure when he sees Anu staring at Pre. If he trusts Pre completely, he should not get insecure like that. Now that he has admitted that he knowingly hit Anu, his insecurity has become more obvious. He can't now think of loosing Pre. And from yesterday's episode, it has become clear that it is not only his fear of loosing Pre, it is also the attention Anu is getting from the Basus & Sharmas what is disturbing him and making him hate Anu. He will have a back story to support it. But by the time it gets revealed, most of the KZK viewers would have left the show. And this is where EK failed big this time. Her overconfidence that her S1 PreRish/PreJaj would help her get the TRP, ruined her own show, thus making her dream project a subject of mockery.

So after today's episode all I have to say is that sometimes you ask and you really do receive. I mean when I wrote this post I was really giving up hope on this show and then after Anurag orchestrated his accident I was at my wits end thinking he went full psycho but boy was I wrong. Bajaj is the ULTIMATE VILLAIN. What a performance. I'm truly speechless. Anurag's face while Bajaj unveiled his whole game was literally me the whole episode. This is the type of stuff I signed up to watch. Villains being villains and despite the hero's wavering on their path, eventually being reminded that you can't out-evil an evil person. Bajaj is a crazy, ruthless dude who is a master manipulator and that is what this show needs. I'm truly satisfied. Now that it's clear where we stand, I'm happy with them taking their time and I'm sure Anurag and Prerna will figure everything out and get together at the end before yet another villain, the new Komolika as we saw in the promo, will come and try to tear them apart. For a while there I was really scared, because Bajaj and Prerna from the previous season were so beloved together and somehow I just couldn't see it with the new one. Now I'm glad that's not the direction we're going in. Anurag needs to go back to being nice and sweet and just good because that's who he is and who Prerna loves and deserves. And Bajaj should be bad and evil and the consummate villain. I'm sure both fandoms are happy today because I know I have something to look forward to now.

Very well said. You said everything I was feeling.

People like Bajaj should not ever be redeemed and whitewashed.

Prerna should take a stand and stand by true love which she believes in the most.

All the things you listed is exactly why he is a grey character. 😆 Driven by his own motives. Ethically nonethical. That's what a grey character is. Shakespearean chaotic and Machiavellian tactic. The perfect grey. The acute rationalising is what makes it all go around. I'm afraid y'all haven't read or seen enough grey characters.

Well, P isn't well characterized. However, she can't be blamed if she didn't figure out Bajaj's ploy. That's one thing she isn't guilty of, coz I guess until Bajaj himself told Anurag, Anurag himself believed he'd caused the accident deliberately. And Prerna believed his words even then. She told him he'd changed even before she got Bajaj's recording etc.

And regarding your main post regarding Bajaj not being grey, well, he can be shaded with all the VIBGYOR colours if it makes the show more interesting for me, and Bajaj more interesting.

Also, don't you think, Anurag's characterisation would be better highlighted if he had a tough opposition? I believe so. You need opponents to rise to the occasion. And he will, hopefully rise well.
