Depends on accent actually... I can understand American accent very easily but british is quite hard to understand for me without subtitles.
For eg
F. R. I. E. N. D. S - easy
Sharlock - not so much.
I prefer subtitles, while I can wwatch without them, but generally prefer them. Even when watching Hindi movies, I like having English subtitles.
Depends if the accent is too thick.
I am hard of hearing and have low attention spans. If everything could be subtitled, it would be a perfect world.
As someone said, depends on accent. Waise I don't really need them but out if habit, I always put them.
