Are you serious?! Have you ever been in a situation where you'd have to give up your work because someone who is POWERFUL has made passes at you?! It not only makes the work environment uncomfortable and awkward, but it's a traumatic experience. You dread going to work. Speaking from personal experience.

Also, in this case, because she is affluent, she was able to fly off to New York to pursue her ambition. What if it was a girl from a poor/middle class family whose parents were overjoyed because she bagged a film? What if she were in such a situation? She would be forced to say yes. So no, this is not just a harmless proposition. It is extremely dangerous and I feel for all the countless women (and men) who have to go through this to make it in the industry.

Nah, it's sexual harassment in a workplace.

Also, "he is not bad looking neither are you" - so you're saying that only good looking people ask to sleep with others? So because bandha hot hai, kuch bhi kar sakta hai? Would there be a problem if he was bad looking?

Additionally, "if you don’t like it, say no and move on. No hard feelings, no?" Life isn't that easy. It might be easier for the guy to move on (or have lewd thoughts, YMMV), but I'd imagine it would be difficult for the girl to move on and continue working with a person.

I already mentioned about the work thing. If it was a personal request and not tied to your work...that is the person (at work) is asking for sex only and if you say no backs off and moves on. And if you say yes ok cool and you don’t use this aspect at work. It’s not power play. It’s two humans who meet at work and maybe want to get it on and that’s it. If it develops into a relationship then cool if not move on. People can decide to be professional & choose not to do favoritism just because they had sex.

I am playing the devil’s advocate. I understand sexual harassment very well. I know the complexities of workplace relationships too.

I think I cracked it. It is Ayesha Kapur, the girl who played younger Rani in Black. She and Saiyami were in the running for Mirziya (then titled Mirza Sahiba).

Ayesha was even signed on for a three film deal by Yash Raj Films, but she left it all and now studies in New York.
