there's a difference again between traditional arranged marriages and a marriage that was forced upon one side by having them give up on their love -
i'm all for traditional arranged marriages and while in my early years I might have been shocked by the fact that marriages are arranged by families in india, I have grown up to also value those marriages - Parents and ones who genuinely care for your happiness, have experience in choosing like minded families and in arranged marriages families of both sides get along better than in love marriages - that is my understanding at least!! ..
but putting forth a deal in front of a woman who is about to be married the next day to the love of her life, whos families are all set for the wedding ..and then asking this woman to give it up all is preposterous. this sorta behavior is inhuman imo.
now if prerna wants to forget the beginnings of her marriage and move on with mr. Bajaj ..then it's her choice ..but I definitely cannot condone that behavior ..she has ruined anurag's life in the process and just moving on with one's own life after ruining another's just doesn't find a place on my moral compass - i'm in general a lover of do-gooders and cannot tolerate anyone who perpetrates injustice or allows unjust behavior toward them. I spend half my day hours trying to uplift women who are in shitty domestic situations and of late we also come across a lot of men who are in shitty domestic situations!! so I cannot really get myself to accept that one can get away after ruining anothers life!
