You are right - the rights for the book was first bought by Red Chillies and then Fox studio bought it from SRK. Sorry this was pure miscast and not nepotism. A studio like Fox could ave easily looked for a new girl and cast Dulquer ..in the end they would have saved the money they spent on paying Sonam. For me Sonam ruined the movie. I am no Sonam hater I liked her in Neerja she was good, but this was a terrible casting decision. For the book lovers, she is a complete misfit, in fact Sonam who apparently read the book and tries and intellectualizes everything should have put on weight for her character or something

Please Sonam quit bollywood and take Arjun with you!

Now Sonam will ruin Battle For Bittora as well 😕😕The biggest reason the movie took such a bad opening though is its music. Not even one song stays with you after the movie.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas dropped 45% on Monday as it collected a very poor 65 lakhs nett. The film is still best of the new releases but that is hardly a prize. The film is heading for a first week of 7 crore nett and will probably not be in many cinemas in the second week. Betaab the launch film of Sunny Deol was a huge blockbuster and this film is likely to have lower lifetime collections than that film released 36 years ago as it collected 9.35 crore nett and that number seems tough to reach for Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. The film collect around 50 lakhs nett on Monday which is still ver poor and the week will finish at around 3.75 crore nett.
