Zoya being honorary member of the academy there is a strong chance for this movie also it has been recieved very well by the international audiences. Excel n Tiger baby should start lobbying n promotions.

The movie was well recieved and well reviewed by the international media during the Berlinale festival... The movie has been doing the international film festival circuits since it released. Won awards in Bucheon Film festival, IIFM... Nominated for best film in World Cinema Amsterdam Jury Award, Miskolc International Film Festival according to IMDB.

Also it did garner some eyeballs internationally since Will Smith, Nas, Michelle Monhagen, chairman of TIFF Cameron Bailey gave shout outs to the movie on social media when it came out.

Yes it got great reviews at BerlinAle and was noticed by a lot of International reviewers. I think it stands a fair chance. Excel and Tiger baby need to do their thing now...

To choose it over Article 15 is plain wrong. That's an extremely hard-hitting film and might have worked to bring to light India's deep dark secret and in turn made a statement.

Exactly and the story is something that people can identify with.

No way..this film doesnt even have 1% chance in front of parasite or pain & glory. It's a waste of money or time if at all they are gonna promote it.

Parasite has the Cannes advantage and Pain and Glory has Oscar veterans so even the best film from India or anywhere wouldn't have any chance at campaigning against those two. Our movies are very local anyway which is something presently being sought out. Article 15 might have had a better chance though.

All the best though. It would require some hardcore campaigning to get it noticed. Hollywood is diversifying at an alarming rate so Gullyboy has a definite chance to considered for a nomination. The movie itself is good but slightly cliché and follows a formula.
