And very easily so. The marriage deal aside (which at the rate this show is going, he will repent for sooner than later) he's in a marriage with a woman in love with another man, he is constantly being judged by said woman and her family, he continues to prove everyone wrong time and time again. The only person on his side is his daughter, who's childish innocence has also drawn her towards Anurag, but his daughter grounds him and Bajaj's scenes with her make him so much more relatable to the audience. Because why would a father that devoted and loyal work up a scheme to kill the man his wife still clearly loves? And the camera work with him is very smart, he is constantly shown as alone, a little bit distant, a little detached from everyone. Anurag is constantly surrounded by people who fuss over him because they love him for him, Bajaj is surrounded by very few and only then because they need something from him. The hospital scenes between Bajaj being injured and now Anurag being injured highlighted that spectacularly. Bajaj had Prerna by his side, and MaTa were there for only selfish reasons. Anurag not only had Prerna, but had Shivi 🤣 and then his mother sister and bro in law. In a sea full of people who constantly seem to flock to Anurag, Bajaj's hard demeanour only hardens, because he knows in the end no one will choose him purely for him.

EDIT: and through all of this he has never lost his fuse. He has taken everything in stride in his quiet Bajaj way. Not once has he pinned undue blame, not once has he yelled in frustration like most other men would. SO when the time comes where his character changes due to the crapfest he's been put through, that journey too will resonate with the audience because he'll finally be taking a stand for himself that isn't just behind closed doors. How many hits can a man take before he says 'forget it, if you're going to blame me for what I haven't done, at least let me make it true for you'.

He's the lonely, enigmatic tragic hero surrounded by needy (greedy?) people. But...what about his own needs? 💔
