Nakul was returning from market when he saw Geet's kidnapping and attack on the security gaurd. The security gaurd tried to save Geet from being kidnapped by Jaichand's men. But they shot the security gaurd. He rushed inside to tell the family. Savitri Devi and Vicky were present when he had left for market.
Savitri Devi and Vicky were surprised, to see Maan walking in the room. They were taken back to see Maan home. "Maan aap aaj itni jaldi ghar par?" Savitri Devi enquired.
"Dadimaa, aaj daftar mei mera mann nahi lag raha tha, kuch bechaini si ho rahi thi. Iss liye mein pichale do ghante se ghar par hoon! "
Just then Nakul rushed in panting,"Yuvraj.......Yuvraj Bahurani ko bacchaiye unhe kuch log uttakar le gaye hain. Security gaurd ko bhi goli maar di hai!" (Sir, please save Ma'am! Some people have kidnapped her and shot security gaurd.)
Maan immediately got into action and called Mr. Shekhawat narrating what had happened. He called ambulance and got the gaurd admitted in KH with all medical expenses paid by Khuranas. Mr. Shekhawat immediately started tracking Geet's phone as he had got special bug installed in it after her being attacked by Rathores, and the chip could detect phone's whereabouts even if it was switched off! (taking writer's liberty). He traced it to a jungle area of Rajgarh. Maan called Arjun and told him about Geet's kidnap and where was the likelihood of her being held. Maan, Arjun along with DCP of Rajgarh area went searching in the area where Geet's phone was tracked.
Location: Undisclosed area in Rajgarh.
Once Jaichand left, Geet using her Karate skills and Sumitra by her common sense attacked the three men gaurding them. Once the men were brought down they slowly but surely moved out of the hut towards road. Sumitra being in captivity for past two and a half years was not very strong thereby making her movement slow and unsteady, and was sure she will be caught soon! Hence, she said, "Beta hum ne aapko janam diya hai magar aap ki maa Paravati bhabhi-sa hain! Ab humme jo bhi ho uske liye aap apne aap koh doshi matt samjheyga!" (Although, I've have given you birth, but our mother is Parvati bhabhi. Henceforth, whatever happens to me please don't blame yourself!)
Unfor tunately they could not go very far when Sumitra was caught by Jaichand's men. However, Sumitra made sure that Geet escaped as despite of Jaichand being Geet's biological father, he will not hesitate to kill her for Royal title. By now Geet was also tired, thirsty and dizzy. She just managed to reach highway when she fainted with sheer exhaustion. That’s how Maan and Arjun found Geet,unconscious on roadside of highway! Maan and Arjun brought her to KM in Delhi. Then called Dr. Sudha Krishnan as she was not reviving. Dr. Sudha gave her few medicines intravenously and Geet revived in few hours!
Few days later, Arjun came to KM tense and said, "Gudiya aapne aaj ka samachar sunna?" (Gudiya, have you heard the news?)
"Kaunsa samachar bhai-sa?" (What news?)Geet said while laying the dinner on table.
"News lagaaye!" (Switch on the news.)
The news channel was switched on -"BREAKING NEWS!!! WE ARE REPORTING LIVE FROM RAJGARH PALACE! Today Maharaj Jaichand Singhania was found stabbed to death in his bedchamber by his own dagger. Maharani Sumitra was also found unconscious in her bed-chamber. Police suspects Maharani to have been given slow poison for a long time on Jaichand's order. We were informed that Mrs. Geetanjali Maan Singh Khurana is Rajkumari Geetanjali Singhania, princess of Rajgarh. We were also informed that her brother Mr. Arjun Singh is Kunwar Arjun Singhania successor to the throne of Rajgarh. Maharaj Jaichand Singhania had burn't his elder brother's family 2yrs. back. The royal gaurds have left to locate the Prince and Princess of Rajgarh. We will keep bringing you a live coverage as & when we get the news. That's all from Meenakshi Sarcar and cameraman Avinash Kochar!"
Hearing the news Geet was shocked that her 'Choti Maa' has been poisoned. She felt dizzy and fainted. Before her unconscious body could touch the ground, she was held by a pair of strong arms and scooped up in his arms. Maan made Geet lie on the couch in living room. He asked,"Dadimaa, aaj kal Anjali ko kya ho raha hai ki woh baar-baar behosh ho rahi hai?" (Dadimaa, what is happening to Geet that she is fainting again and again.)
"Beta, aap khud sochiye unki zindagi mein kitne utaar-charav (ups & downs) chal rahe hain. Theek ho jayengi!" (Maan, try to understand. There have been so manyy ups and downs in her life recently.)
Geet regained her consciousness and spoke in anger, "Unn Maharaja Jaichand ke saath jo bhi hua accha hua. Unhone hummari Choti Maa ko vish (poison) diya!" (I'm very happy that Maharaja Jaichand got what he deserved. He poisoned my Choti Maa)
"Gudiya shant ho jao! Abb Singhania parivar se kewal hum dono hain." (Calm down! Now only two of us are left from Singhania family!) Arjun tried to reason with her.
"Nahi! Uss insaan ne hummare haste-khelte parivar ho bikhar diya!" (No! That man destroyed our happy family!)
"Beta aap shant ho jaaye!" (Calm down!)
"Dadimaa, hum aaj aap sab ko aapni jeevan ka sabse kadhwa sach (bitter truth) batayenge! " (Today I'll tell you the bitter truth of my life!)
Geetanjali's starts narrating -
There were many reasons due to which Jaichand had animosity towards his elder brother Rudra & his family. First, Rudra being the eldest son automatically becomes successor to the throne. Second, Parvati commands more respect than Sumitra. Just because Parvati is Yuvraj Rudra Pratap Singhania's wife. Despite Sumitra being a princess & Parvati a commoner (was not from a royal but business family). Thirdly, Rudra has 4 children (according to Jaichand) & he has only one. In case of his untimely death, Sumitra & Brij would have been left helpless financially as he was not the successor to the throne. All the above reasons were Jaichand's insecurities which grew over time by leaps & bounds. There was no basis for his insecurities. But insecurity is always from within a person & not from outside!
Jaichand had always wanted to get the throne of Rajgarh for his son, Brij & him. Although Brij never cared for all this royal jargon along with his other three brothers. But for Jaichand it was his ultimate aim in his life. Hence he planned well.
First he coaxed his parents, Maharaj Virendra Pratap Singhania & Maharani Pallavi to go on pilgrimage. Unknown to him, his sweet wife, Sumitra had sent their only son, Brij with his grandparents as they were travelling alone. Armaan & Arjun were abroad for study only Brij was there due to his summer vacations. As planned, car in which the three were travelling met with an accident and all three passed away. Leaving a broken Sumitra and enraged Jaichand.
Next he planned to dispose his brother's family. It was "Diwali" day, so he knew his traditional family will all be gathered in home for celebrating Diwali in great grandeur & style. He knew as every year, the whole palace will be painted. Rudra loved his little brother dearly & didn't questioned when he changed the old & trusted contractor for painting the palace. Jaichand asked few of his trusted henchmen to hire a paint contactor and get whole palace painted. Jaichand's henchman told the contractor that paint will be supplied by Kunwar-sa. Jaichand got highly inflammable colourless water like chemical mixed in paint and got the whole palace painted with it before Diwali. Sumitra overheard the devious plan of her husband but before she could tell anyone, Jaichand got her kidnapped and held her a prisioner in an undisclosed place. Jaichand told rest of the family that Sumitra has gone for pilgrimage as she is unable to come to terms with her only son's loss.
Diwali came everyone was celebrating with joy. Children were asked to light crackers outside the home. Jaichand found a 16yrs. old Yash upset at having to go out of palace to light crackers. Jaichand gave Yash an open area inside the palace to light the crackers. Rudra's family felt that Jaichand loves them a lot. They also felt that Jaichand is spoiling Yash because of his love for Yash. Then Jaichand left palace on excuse of having some unfinished business to attend. Jaichand was only waiting for a spark. Then it happened, one spark from fire cracker came & hit the palace wall, immediately fire started. The whole palace caught fire within seconds, burning everyone & everything inside."
"I was returning that evening from US after completing M.Arch. But my flight got late by around 6hrs.I had called pitaji and spoke to him but I guess in Diwali celebrations he forgot to tell others!" Arjun stated how he came to be alive.
"Maa ne hummei humare Raj Parivar ke Mandir se pooja ke liye phool laane bheja tha iss liye hum bhi bacch gaye! Kanhaji, kash humare baki dono bhai-sa bhi jeevith hon! " (Mom sent me to get flower for prayer from the royal temple garden. Hence, I'm alive. I pray to Almighty, that my other two brothers are also alive) Geetanjali concluded.
Just then Diwanji came rushing inside. Security gaurd recognised him as Pinky's father. "Yuvraj aur Rajkumari-sa jaldi Rajgarh chaliye, Maharani Sumitra ne aap dono to sheeghr (quickly) bulaya hai. Unke pass adhik samay nahi hai!" (Prince and Princess we have to leave for Rajgarh immediately as Queen Sumitra has called you. Please hurry as she doesn't have time!) Breathless Diwanji said.
Arjun, Maan and Geet left that evening after dinner for Rajgarh. Whole night they travelled and reached Rajgarh early morning. Seeing Geet getting tired (as she has still not recovered her original strength), Maan asked Diwanji for a place to rest for sometime. Diwanji got two rooms in best hotel on the out skirts of Rajgarh. They all freshened up and got ready according to the royal protocol. Especially Geet as she was going after her wedding first time to her original "maika" with her husband. Arjun and Maan wore their royal tunics which they wear for royal ceremonies. Geet got ready in a beautiful white tussar silk saree with light pink border (she could not wear a bandhani saree as its worn on happy occassions).
She wore a white colour as her uncle has passed away and aunt is on death bed.Pink zari border as she is a newly wedded bride. Tied her hair in loose bun resting on her nape.
She wore thin payals and 'bichwas' (toe rings) in feet.
Applied sindoor in her parting,
wore the light royal set matching to her saree in neck
and few glass bangles in both hand. Then covered her head in royal style making her look like a newly wedded Princess.
Maan could now see that his wife is truly a princess as the way she wore and carried her saree and the way she walked. Once ready all three left for Palace of Rajgarh.
The people of Rajgarh were so happy to see their Prince and Princess back whom they thought dead. They were quickly ushered to Maharani's chamber. Maharani called them all near her. Geetanjali came near her and hugged her, "Choti Maa aap kaisi hain?"
Sumitra looked at Maan and folded her hands saying "Pranam Jawai-sa! Aap ka Rajgarh mei swagat hai. Humme shama kijiye ki hum utthkar aapka aadar satkar (formally welcome) nahi kar sakte." (Greetings Maan! Welcome to Palace of Rajgarh. I apologise for not being able to get up and formally welcome you!)
Maan came and said, "Maharani aap jaldi se theek ho jaye! Phir baatein karenge!"(Maharani, you please get well soon, then we will talk!)
"Hummare pass adik samay nahi. Yuvraj Arjun, hum aapse vintee (humble request) karte hain, ki jo aaj hum kahne jaa rahe hain, uss ke liye aap Geetanjali ko doshi matt samijiyega!" (I don't have much time. Arjun I have a humble request, please don't hold Geetanjali responsible for what I'm about to say!) Sumitra said.
"Yeh aap kya kah rahi hain Choti Maa?" (What are you saying Choti Maa?)
"Hum aaj aap sab ke saamne apne do apradh (crimes) sweekarite (confess) hain ---
Pahela - Jab Parvati bhabhi ki teesri santaan (third child) mrit paidaa hua (still-born), toh woh bahut shithil (weak) theen aur sacchai nahi jhel paati, iss liye hum ne Bhai-sa (Rudra) ko aapne dono judwa bacchon ko dediya. Hum nahi chahte the ki woh dono bhi apne Pita ke jaise ek haiwan (monster) ban jaayen." (Today I want to confess two crimes I committed ----- First, when Parvati's third child born was a still birth. I gave our twins to Rudra as Parvati was too weak to accept this harsh reality. Also I wanted to save the twins from a monster father!) Sumitra told the truth. "Geetanjali aur Yashvardhan, Kunwar Jaichand aur Rajkumari Sumitra ki santaan hain" (Geetanjali and Yashvardhan are Prince Jaichand and Princess Sumitra's children) Sumitra confessed.
"Dusra -Humne Maharaj Jaichand Singhania ko khanjaar maar kar iss jeevan se mukt kiya. Kyunki woh hummare bacchon, Arjun aur Geetanjali ko maarna chahite the!" (Second, I have stabbed King Jaichand Singhania as he wanted to murder my children, Arjun and Geetanjali). "Hummei shama kijiye!" (Please forgive me!)
Geetanjali who was holding Sumitra's hand suddenly felt it go limp, she screamed "Choti Maa! Choti Maa!" but got no response and only saw a vacant look in her eyes and a small smile. Arjun closed Sumitra's eyes with his hand. Maan gathered Geet in his arms and took her outside trying to console her. When Arjun came outside, Geet fell on his feet and said "Bhai-sa humne Maa, Pitaji aur Armaan bhai-sa ka khoon nahi kiya!" (I didn't murder Mom, Dad and Armaan)
Arjun made her rise and say "Humme gyat hai aap 'nirdosh' (innocent) hain, aapke bhi to do bhai nahin rahe!" (I know you are innocent as you have also lost your two brothers)
After ceremating Jaichand and Sumitra's body, Arjun was forced to stay in Rajgarh for the royal duties. Maan and Geet also stayed with Arjun until all last rites were done of two departed souls! Geet showed Maan the Rajgarh Palace and her room. Maan and Geet occupied Geet's old room. One day when Maan woke up he didn't find Geet in her room, he went looking for her. On asking maids & gaurds around he found her sitting on a branch of a old mango tree with some children sucking on raw mangoes.
She was looking like 14-15yrs.old school girl not his passionate Mishty! Just then a maid came calling her saying that Maan is looking for her. Hearing Maan's name she got flustered and tried to jump off the tree in hurry instead of climbing down.
Before she could hit the ground she landed in Maan's strong arms, making Geet's eyes widen with shock and Arjun started laughing seeing her messed up appearance and comical facial expression. "Bhai-sa" Geet screamed running behind Arjun.
