CHAPTER 21

Geet she sat in the car without looking back towards her brother, Arjun, Arohi or Pinky. Maan tried to comfort Geet, but she was crying uncontrollably. Finally, Maan gathered Geet close in his arms whispering calming and soothing words to her & rubbing her back. Maan asked driver to get water from ice box placed in car's boot. Geet had water and calmed down and slept in Maan's arms. Making Maan realise that its his duty & responsibility to support Geet in sadness as well as happiness since he is her husband NOW!
Sun had already arisen while their wedding was taking place so it was bright and sunny! Geet and Maan were standing at threshold of KM, Geet on Maan's left side. Dadimaa came with aarti thaal and became very emotional saying "Agar aaj Priyamvada hauteen, toh bahut khush hautee. Maan sabse baade hai iss liye unki koi bhabhi bhi nahin hain. Toh aap ki aarti hum karenge!" (If Priyamvada was alive she would be extremely happy. Maan being eldest has no sister-in-law as well so I'll do the aarti.)
Dadimaa with lot of love and blessings applied "tilak" for Maan and asked Meera to put "bindi and sindoor" for Geet as widows don't touch sindoor, (according to me a weird custom). Dadimaa did aarti of newly wedded couple & welcomed them inside home. Geet put her right foot inside the 'chaukhat' (the main door bracket) and kicked the 'kalash' full if rice. Meera put a big 'thaal of aalta (mahawar)' next. Geet dipped both her feet in it and walked inside the KM leaving her footprints on the way, symbolizing that 'grah-lakshmi' has entered home with Maan on her right side. Thereby completing Geet's "grah-pravesh" in Khurana Mansion, Khurana family & Maan's life!
Maan & Geet had just settled on the sofa, when Vicky came having an annoyed expression, "Bhabhi, I'm hungry! Can you please make for me some of your famous paranthas as I don't like this wedding food." Vicky complained. Geet was about to get up when Maan held her hand and was about to give Vicky a piece of his mind. Before Maan could say anything Dadimaa spoke. "Vicky, Geetanjali "rasoi pooja" se pahele rasoi mein pravesh nahi kar sakti, aur woh kal raath se pahele nahin ho sakti. Iss liye jo mil rakha hai uss mein khush rahiye!" (Geetanjali cannot enter kitchen without "rasoi pooja". That will happen earliest tomorrow night. So be happy with what you are getting!) "Aap dono aaiye hummare saath (gesturing to Maan& Geet). Maan aap Geet ko aapni bahaon mei uttaye (Maan couldn't be happier) aur chaliye." Savitri Devi ordered. Maan scooped a blushing Geet in his arms and followed his grandmother. Savitri Devi came near a wall full of handprints and stopped. Geetanjali asked Maan to make her stand on her feet but Savitri Devi stopped her saying this ritual has to be done in one's husband's arms. Riddhima put a big 'thaal of aalta' in front of Geet, and asked Geet to dip her hand in aalta and leave her handprints on the wall. Then Dadimaa took the newly wedded couple to the mandir in KM, Geet lit a 'diya' and both bowed in front of Radha-Krishan's idol.
After temple, Dadimaa took them where Maan's relatives like a distant bua (aunt), chacha (uncle) etc. were present.
The couple touched every ones feet. Maan walked ahead and Geet stayed back. Nakul was serving guests when Geet stopped him and bent in front of him doing "namaste" respectfully (but did not touch his feet as he is an employee in KM)
"Aap bhi iss parivar ke baade hain, humara naman sweekariye!" (You also an elder family member so please accept my high regards) Nakul was so moved that he was speechless but his eyes were flowing like rivers.
"Mein iss yogeye nakin" (I'm not worthy of it) Nakul replied.
"Yogyata dhan se nahin hoti!" (Worthiness is not based on wealth) Geet replied
"Aap sada suhaangan rahiye bahurani!" (God bless you!) Nakul blessed her and walked away before he embarasses himself in front of guests. This exchange was witnessed by Savitri Devi & Rajveer with tears of joy in their eyes.
Maan & Geet came to the dinning table for breakfast (more like brunch as it was already 11am). They were served food in a single thali and asked to feed each other. "Dadimaa, I can't eat this spicy & oily food!" Maan said. Before Savitri Devi could reply, Geet said very softly and humbly "Abhi khaa lijiye kyunki "ann ka anadar nahi karte". Shaam ko aapke pasand ka khana aapko mil jayega." (Please have it now as one should not disrespect food! Evening you will get food of your choice!)
"But..."
"Humare liye!" (For my sake!) Maan nodded in acceptance .
In late afternoon, Savitri Devi called her close & trustworthy relatives and kitty friends for Geet's "Muh-dikhai".
She introduced Geet saying she was her husband's friend's grand-daughter. Maan fell in love with her at first sight. Women having sons or daughters were equally disappointed and crest-fallen that Geet and Maan are unavailable respectively. After outsiders, it was turn of family, each and everyone lifted Geet's ghunghat and gave her gifts. Before Maan could lift Geet's ghunghat, Savitri Devi teasingly said "Aap toh abb aapni suhaag raat par hi inka ghunghat utta lijiyeya!" (You see Geet's face on your first night!) Maan was now in a real bad mood as he was agin stopped from seeing his wife's face (mukh) and left from there stomping his feet huffing and puffing to his (Sorry! Their )room !!!
Maan after an hour came downstairs, "Dadimaa are there any rites and rituals to be done tomorrow as well?"
"Kyun beta?"
"I was making tomorrow's office schedule. Anyways Anjali also has to go to college tomorrow."
"Beta aaj aap dono ki shaadi hui hai aur kaal se office aur college." (You got married today and want to go to Office and College respectively tomorrow!)
"Dadimaa aap bhul rahi hain ki duniyaa ke hisaab se humari abhi shaadi nahi hui hai!" (You forget that according today's society we are not married!)
"Hum kuch nahi bhul rahe! Aaj jo log Geet ki 'muk-dikhai mein' aaye the ho sakta hai ki unmein se koi bol dein! Khair, agar aap ko daftar jaana hai to jaaiye, kintu Geetanjali kahin nahin jayegi!" (I'm not forgetting anything, but the people who I had invited today, may say about your wedding in society. Anyways, you want to go to office, go ahead but Geet will stay at home!) "Geetanjali beta, Arjun kab aa rahe hain aap ko 'pag phere' ki rasam ke liye le jaane?" (When is Arjun coming to take you for 'pag phere' ritual?)
"Dadimaa, hummein abhi unse puchana hai." (I have to ask him.)
"What is phag phera?" Vicky enquired.
"After her wedding, the bride goes once to her maika (maiden home) before getting busy in her marital life. Both the bride and her family miss each other, this is also a way for them to meet again. Depending on the distance between two homes, bride may be away from her sasural from 1-3days."
Hearing this Maan's anger evaporated, he thought if he continues fighting then the time for Mishty's 'pag phere' will come.

Finally, Muh Dikhai was done and all guests and relatives left. Only family was there so everyone was ready to have lunch. Dadimaa saw that Geet is getting tired with heavy lahenga & jewellery. She asked Meera and Riddhima to take Geet to guest room and make her change to something comfortable. They were debating what to make her wear when Dadimaa sent a bright deep green crepe silk saree with meduim size border having "zardosi" work on it.
It was light in terms of weight and little dressy if some visitor came. Geet was very comfortable in saree as Parvati had made her wear saree since a young age. She was told not to go in front of Maan without a ghunghat. Partly it was for fun and partly for rituals. Riddhima got her's & Geet's lunch in guest room. Both had their lunch together and then Geet went to sleep. Maan was trying to catch a glimpse of his Mishty since time of 'Muh Dikhai' but failed! He managed to reach till the guest room but Riddhima & Meera managed to 'shoo' him away with Rajveer & Vicky's help.
Arjun called Geet as he was missing her. Geet spoke to him for sometime with tears in her eyes. Pinky had already left for her home. Geet spoke to Arohi for sometime and requested her to be with Arjun till he calms down. Arohi said she will take care and not worry! Arohi was an orphan, but came from a well to do family. Like Geet, Arohi lost her parents at young age thereby making her very mature and responsible. Geet could feel a chemistry between Arjun and Arohi and hoped they sort out their differences and confess their love soon. Geet hopes to make Arohi as her bhabhi -sa (Arjun bhai-sa's wife) soon.
Riddhima locked Maan's room from inside when he was in study. Meera, Riddhima and Pinky then arranged Maan's room for Geet and Maan's "suhaag raat". They had decorated the bed in a canopy style with thin bela/moghra (flower) strings running from ceiling to the bed. The Kingsize bed having white satin bedsheets with rose petals sprinkled all over it. Rose & lavender (Geet's favourite) scented candles all around the room. The room was looking and smelling like a beautiful bride. Then all left to have dinner after locking the bedroom door. Maan finished his work and came to his room and found it locked. Irritated he went to dinning hall for dinner. When his plate was served he was expecting oily & spicy food like lunch time but got Pasta in Alfredo sauce (vegetarian) as Geet had promised.
After dinner,Meera, Riddhima and Pinky got Geet ready in Indian pink bridal lehanga blouse with brocade all over.
Her blouse was backless with only two doris. Decked up in Royal jewellery with a big "naath"(nose-ring) on left side of nose, kissing her lips! Hand full of 'choodis' and feet with thick payals. The three girls made her sit in centre of bed (with her feet folded coming close to her chest and arms encircling her folded legs) and spread her lahenga all around her like a full bloomed flower.
Covered her head and face with ghunghat till neck with matching dupatta. Riddhima SMSed Vicky to send Maan. Maan had also changed to a white kurta pajama. When he was about to enter his bedroom, Riddhima & Meera blocked his way, saying he has to give them nek (token of happiness). After lot of haggling and bargaining between the girls & Vicky, Maan gave them nek. Then girls allowed him to go in and meet his wife.
18+ Update
Maan opened the room and stood mesmerised seeing his(their) room looking so beautiful. Then went ahead and saw his Mishty sitting in centre of the bed looking like a rose. Slowly he went near the bed lifted the chain of flowers and sat next to his Mishty.
Very slowly lifted Geet's ghunghat and was transfixed. Geet's beauty was radiant like the jewels she was wearing, eyes looking down at her feet due to shyness, blushing creating a beautiful red hue on her cheeks, tembling & quivering of her lips & the hold on her knees getting tighter with Maan's closeness giving an indication of her nervousness and uncontrollable desires!!
When she could not take his silence anymore she said softly, "Suniye!" (Listen) Making Maan come out of his trance like state. Maan slowly held her chin and raised her face close to him, increasing Geet's heart beats. "Agar tum yunhi neeche dekhogi to main tumhari aankhon mein aapna jahaan kaise dekhonga?" (If you keep on looking down, how will I drown in your limpid pools?) Geet slowly raised her hazel doe like eyes and looked at Maan breaking Maan's control.
He gently pressed his lips on her and started kissing with full passion. Suddenly he remember Dr. Krishanan's warning and stopped. Before he could move away, Geet said, "Aapko aapne aapko roka ne ki avashiyatha (need) nahi kyunki report mein sab sahi hai!" (You don't need to stop yourself as reports are normal!)
Maan was still hesitant. Geet went near him and softly kissed his one cheek, then the other, then eyes, then chin and finally softly pecked his lips. Before she could withdraw, he held her tightly and started trying to nibble her lips but the 'naath' got in way. He slowly removed the naath kissing her nose, than her 'mang tikka' placing a kiss on her forehead,
followed by earrings,
necklaces,
payal
and kardhani (waistband);
placing kisses each time he removed a piece of jewellery. By the time he finished removing the jewellery, Geet was a shivering mass of nerves! Before she could control her nerves and desires, Maan flipped her over, so Geet's back was all for him to see. He started with slowly running his fingers on her back, if that tourture was not enough for Geet he replaced his hands with his lips and opening blouse's both doris on the way. Geet couldn't take anymore "Suniye bas kijiye! Hummein abb apna bana lijiye taurant!" (Please it is enough! I can't wait. Make me yours now) That was all Maan needed soon Geet's lahenga and inner garments along with Maan's clothes were on floor, both were as nature made them. Geet had always know that Maan was a true male full of masculinity & virilety but had not realised the extent of his masculinity & virilety ! Maan had not realised that his wife had a true 'ajanta' figure as she was always well covered.
Finally Maan teased "You are drooling on your husband, darling? Go ahead I'm all yours!" Geet blushed, Maan started rubbling her b****t & twitching her n*****s arousing her. Slowly and surely he entered her trying to be as gentle as possible. Geet though had slight pain but soon started enjoying after getting used to the rhythmn. Maan didn't leave her whole night and both lost the count of number of times they made love! He only stopped when Geet fainted due to exhaustion, thereby alarming Maan!!!! Maan covered her and himself with quilt & cuddling Geet in his arms went sleep. Maan finally had a peaceful sleep with a sense of pride that Geet was his legally, socially and physically!
