Chhichhore First Day Business

Chhichhore collected 7 crore nett on its first day as it picked up in the evenings though the first day remains low. The collections are similar to Kedarnath which was the last major film of Sushant Singh Rajput but that was at a higher GST rate which means the GROSS numbers of Kedarnath were better.

This film will grow today due to the evening pick up on Friday and it could even be huge growth but as its a low start it will be down to the weekday numbers. The plus is the low costs of the film which and that coupled with the expected growth over the weekend will ensure some sort of success but major success depends on what happens after the weekend.

The film has done best in multiplexes of Delhi NCR and East Punjab and this is despite the film not being the good looking type which tend to out perform in these markets. The collections in Mumbai are disappointing at 2 crore nett and Gujarat / Saurashtra did not collect at all as Saaho continued to lead there.

The figures in Delhi NCR and East Punjab were also 2 crore nett which is pretty decent collections but eventually Mumbai will have to perform is the film is to become a real success.

Good opening. Should be another hit for Shraddha Kapoor

I saw chhichhore it is one of the best films of the year. It was realistic and I loved the ending and what the film teaches you.

I loved sushant's performance and this was one of shraddha's best performances.

Chhichhore Strong Growth - Saaho Good Run Continues

Chhichhore had strong growth on its second day of around 65% to collect 11.50-11.75 crore nett. The two day numbers for the film will be around 18.50 crore nett plus. They are still low collections but now the trend is there with the potential to benefit on the weekdays.

Mumbai city which was very slow on day was really flown on the second day with collections almost doubling. Gujarat / Saurashtra has also showed hueg growth but collections there remain dull as the start was terrible. The growth is a little better than films like Raazi and Stree last year but the Saturday trend has got much bigger over the last year. It will be the Monday figures that will tell where this films tands among those two films.

Saaho (Hindi) continues its good run with a jump of 40% on Saturday to collect around 4.75-5 crore nett and this takes its nine day total to a huge 123.50 crore nett. The success of this film will encourage more South films to have big release in Hindi markets as the 75 crore plus distributor share this film is heading to is a huge figure for South films but it will be surprising if this happens again unless its franchise (Bahubali) or a franchise backed by a big hindi film star (2.0). A stand alone film from South to record these sort of numbers will not happen too many times.
