Chapter - 16

Evening when roli reached home, she stormed into Sid's room, only to find him busily arranging some papers.

"Why didn't you come today?" Roli stood before him and asked, crossing her arms.

"I told you already that I'm not going to come" sid replied without raising his head.

"I thought you were joking" roli pouted.

Sid then looked up at her and pulled her to sit beside him by holding her hand as he said "arrange these all in an order".

He handed a bundle of papers over to her. Roli rolled her eyes and started helping him.

It took more than 30 minutes for them to arranging them into a file.

"I'm done" sid leaned back on to the couch as he sighed.

"I've helped you" roli looked at him and stated proudly.

"Then go and bring coffee for me" sid said turning to her.

"Is it a request or an order?" Roli raised her eyebrows.

"Do you think I would ever request you" sid voiced arrogantly.

"Then go get it by yourself" roli got up and stormed out of the room.

Sid helplessly watched her leaving as he didn't expect it.

After a few minutes, roli placed a tray of two coffee cups on the table before the couch.

Sid took one cup with a giggle. Roli glared at him as she too took another cup and sat beside him.

"I was making it for myself and felt pity for you so thought to make one more for you too" roli said as clarifying herself.

"Thanks for your kindness" sid said in a mocking way and laughed even more.

Roli turned against him and started sipping her coffee. When she was done, she suddenly turned to him as she reminded of something. By then sid too completed his coffee and placed the cup back on tray.

"You know what..." before roli could complete her sentence, sid broke in "no, I don't know".

"First listen" roli slapped on his shoulder and continued "today a guy proposed me".

Sid quickly turned his head towards her and after glancing at her for a while, he burst out in to a laughter.

"What's so funny?" Upon seeing him laughing, roli was pissed off.

"I'm laughing at that guy.. now I'm really wondering about his choice" sid was totally making fun out of it.

Roli couldn't stand it anymore as she again thrown a slap on his shoulder and said "I hate you".

"I hate you too" sid held his stomach to control his laughter and said.

Then she rushed out and didn't talk to him the rest of the day.

Even when they both were driving to college the next morning, she didn't even look at him and sat like an angry kid. Sid took glances of her all now and then and smiled to himself on seeing her expression.

"You know what" sid started in the same way as she did. Roli turned her head to window as if she was avoiding him.

Sid chuckled and started "today I'm going with my friends to watch a movie". Then he observed at her slightly changed expression.

"Do you want to come?" Sid asked turning to her.

By now roli's anger had gone to nowhere as she turned to him and nodded excitedly.

"But, we don't have an extra ticket. Sorry" sid shifted his attention back to driving.

"Then why did you even ask me?" Roli glared at him as he tricked her.

"You seemed to be in another universe so I was just testing your presence here" sid replied with a giggle.

"Fine.. then i wish your movie plan to be a flop" roli smirked.

Sid just glanced at her without saying anything else. After dropping her at college, he drove away with his friends.

It was third hour of roli's class and they were having a free period. A girl came to their classroom and said that roli was being called by one of their professors.

Roli was surprised as she looked at her friend, who was sitting beside her. While her friend shook her shoulders as she didn't know.

"Come with me" that girl said as roli reached her. While roli silently followed her.

Roli got confused as they were neither going in the way of office room nor staff room.

They stopped at the old lab, which wasn't in use anymore and also it was in a corner that none normally visit.

"Here?" Roli looked confused as she glanced at the entrance of the room.

"Yeah. One senior girl told me that sir has called you here to discuss something important" that girl informed and left saying that she had a class.

Roli with a hesitation went inside. She looked around but found none. When she turned around to go out, she found a guy entering the room. She quickly recognized him as he was the same guy that proposed her the previous day.

"So, finally you're here" mukesh, that guy said as he started walking upto her.

Roli ignored him and tried to go out but, he stood before her, blocking her way. She got tensed as he moved near her.

She started moving backward as he kept moving forward. By now roli's eyes welled up as she was totally blocked by him. She cursed herself for blindly going to that place and she didn't even take her phone along.

"Let me go... Or else" roli's words blocked due to the fear she was in.

"Or else what?" He smirked.

"Siddhant won't leave you" at the moment she could think of only one person, siddhant.

Chapter - 17

"Siddhant.." after hearing the name, mukesh stopped on his track. "Siddhant bharadwaj?" He asked for clarification.

Roli nodded silently, wondering about his sudden behavioral change.

Mukesh took backward steps and stood away from her. He wondered of how she was related to sid. But, whatever, he knew how sid was, if he made sid piss off, then he'd surely looking for his own death.

"I'm sorry. Please don't tell to sid about this. You can go" he said as he couldn't dare to move near to her anymore.

Roli looked at him confused. She didn't think of anything else as she rushed to open the door.

But, she found that door was locked from outside. When she was struggling to open the door, mukesh got confused as he didn't close the door while coming in.

He took his phone out and dialed naina's number.

"Naina.. what the hell did you do? Do you even know that roli is Sid's friend?" He whispered into phone in a low voice.

"I know" naina replied calmly.

"What? Then why the hell did you plan this? Sid will kill us if he knows" he was more than scared.

"Relax. Just enjoy yourself" naina said wickedly and hung up the call.

He was shocked with her words. There he was about to pee in his pants thinking about the consequences and she wanted him to enjoy. He still hadn't forgotten the punch from sid, when he messed up with him back in their graduation days. From then on he maximum tried to keep his distance with sid but, now just because of that naina's stupid plan, he was again in the same death path.

He then looked at roli, who was still struggling to open the door. She was almost crying out of fear as the door wasn't opening. He quickly dialed to his friend and asked for help.

A few minutes later, lab door got opened, making roli to sigh in relief. But, the moment she stepped out, she received another shock.

Few students were standing out and looking at her in disbelief. Being it a break time, students passing in the corridor reached there as the place became a little crowded and roli was blocked between them.

At the same time, naina broke into the crowd and started "oh my god, what's happening here? You both inside this room..." She stopped with a shocking expression.

Her words were enough for the people around to start their wild assumptions. And they had already began to gossip about their relationship and bla bla.

Roli was totally helpless as she listened to the words people were throwing at her. She hadn't even given a chance to clarify herself and thrown into a corner as she had done a sin. Tears continuously flowed out of her eyes.

Even mukesh had felt bad for her. He really didn't expect that naina would do such thing to him. He glared at naina but the latter just ignored him and started enjoying the scene created by herself.

"What's happening here?" A voice came from behind the crowd. All turned around and found their college's vice president. All the students quickly moved aside, making a way to him.

"That's what we're asking, sir. Don't know what's happening here. People don't know how to behave in college and started treating it as hotel" Naina sneered.

"So, now you're talking about behavior?" Vice president mocked her. Naina's character was well known by the whole college. His words felt like a slap to her and she shut her mouth.

He then turned to roli and mukesh as he asked "what's the matter?".

Roli wasn't in a state to even say a word as her throat got blocked due to crying.

"We were said that professor has called us here and someone locked the door from outside" mukesh stepped in and said though it was a half lie on his part. As for roli, that was the complete truth.

"I think now it's clear to all. About the person locking the door, we'll deal with them once we found out who it is. Now get back to your classrooms" vice president said in an authoritative voice and left the place.

Soon everyone started clearing the place. Only roli, naina and mukesh were left at last.

"Roli.. I'm really feeling pity for you. Let it be whatever, but now your name got involved in such gossip, I don't think sid would even look at you after this incident" naina said with a smirk.

"You just come with me" mukesh held naina's hand and dragged her along with him.

Roli was left alone in a devasted state.
