CHAPTER 19

Savitri Devi & Rajveer finally gave in to Munshiji's pleadings, as both are grandparent & parent themselves. Within two hours, Sasha's resignation letter was typed & signed. Other formalities regarding resignation was also done as Chairman of Khurana Industries was personally supervising! While all this was happening, Maan called Vicky and asked him to be with Geet & Arjun. Finally Sasha resigned from Khurana Industries & Khurana Construction but without any remorse. She was highly confident that Rathores will employ her immediately.
One thing Maan was certain was that Sasha was not alone in this. The person who is behind this must have something big planned. Maan suspected Siddharth Rathore (Sid) son of Narendra Rathore & heir to Rathore group of Industries. Gajendra Rathore (Sid's grandfather) & Harshvardhan Singh Khurana were acquaintances due to often meeting in business gatherings. Gajendra wanted Rajveer to marry his daughter Snehlata. But Rajveer was in love with Priyamvada and got married to her. Again Rathores approached Khuranas for their grand daughter, Naintara's hand for Maan or Vicky. But both the brothers refused. Although Naintara loved Dev Khosla, but still Rathores took it as another personal insult to them and hence have become rivals of Khuranas!!
Location: KHURANA HOSPITALS
Geet opened her eyes and saw her Arjun bhai-sa sitting in front of her holding her hand. "Gudiya aap abb kaiseen hain? Aap ne toh hum sabko daraa (scared) hi diya!!" (Gudiya, How are you? You scared all of us so much)
"Bhai-sa, hummein swayam (myself) pata nahin ki woh darwaza kaise bandh ko gaya? Hum ne kitna darwaaz peeta par koi nahi aaya." (Bhai, I still don't understand how the archives door go locked. I banged the door so much but it just won't open. No one came.) Geet shuddered thinking about her horror.
"Aye naa, Jeeja-sa!" (Maan jeejaji came.)
"Aapko sab pata hai? Aap unse mile?" (You know everything? Have you met him?) Geet asked blushing.
"Haan! Kintu, aap ne unhe pehchaana (recognise) kaise? Aap ke pass to unki koi tasveer bhi nahi thi!!!" (Yes. But how did you recognise him as you don't have his photograph?)
"Humne nahi pehchana! Dadimaa arthaat (meaning) Rajmata ne hummein dhonda (locate) aur pehchana bhi. Dadimaa ke pass hummare 'vivaah ki tasveer' hai, jab hum 4 varsh ke the aur aapke jeeja-sa 14 varsh ke (Geet blushing).Unho ne Diwanji ko bhi khoj liya hai." (I did not recognise. Dadimaa, I mean Rajmata located me & recognised me. She had our wedding photograph, were I'm 4 yrs old & your jeejaji 14yrs old. She also found Diwan Manchanda.) Geet said with lot of love & admiration for Savitri Devi. "Arjun bhi-sa, kya aap ko Armaan bhai-sa aur Yash bhai-sa mile?" (Bhai, have you found Armaan bhai-sa & Yash bhai-sa?)
"Nahi hum to dou (two) saal se unhein doondh rahe hain. Jab bhi koi rah dikhti hai, woh jhooti nikalti hai!" (I'm trying to look for past 2yrs. Whenever I get a lead, it turns to be false)
"Kuch samay se hummein aabhaas (feeling) ho raha hai ki Armaan bhai-sa aur Yash bhai-sa humare bahut nikat (near) hain!" (For sometime I'm having a feeling that Armaan & Yash are very close)
"Yash ke baare mein yeh aabhaas hona aapke liye swabhavik (natural) hai. Kyunki aap dono judwa (twin) hain." (I understand your feeling for Yash is very natural as he is your twin.) "Waise bhi ladkiyon aur streeyon ko yeh aabhaas jaldi hote hain. (Anyways Girls & women tend to have such feelings.) Making Geet punch him on his shoulders with her tiny & soft hands. Kya aap jeeja-sa ko bhi aise hi peeth teen hain?" (Do you hit jeejaji also.) Arjun teased Geet. Laughing Arjun took Geet in his brotherly love.
This sweet brother-sister conversation was witnessed first by Vicky, then Maan & then Savitri Devi. Khuranas entered the room.
"Arjun beta, yeh dou din apni behan par jitna chahe ladh ladha (pamper) lijiye uske baad toh yeh humari bahu ho jayengi." (Arjun for next 2 days pamper your sister as much as you want because after that she is Khuranas daughter-in-law) Savitri Devi said.
"Rajmata, yeh to aapki bahu 14saal pehele hi ho gayeen hain." (Rajmata, she has become your daughter-in-law 14yrs back) Arjun said bringing tears of joy in Savitri Devi's eyes.
"Geetanjali beta, kanooni taur par abb aap humari bahu ho gayeen hai, toh aap abhi Khurana Mansion mein reh sakteen hain. Kintu, hum aapko jaante hain ki aap bina “saath pheron” ke apne vivaah ko vivaah nahi samjhengi! Iss liye aaj se aap aur Arjun Khurana Outhouse mein rahenge shaadi tak." (Geetanjali as egally you are our daughter-in-law, you have every right to stay in Khurana Mansion. But I know you, you will not consider it as a true marriage until its done by rites & rituals. Hence, from today till your wedding, you & Arjun will stay in outhouse)
"Hummara kanooni roop se inse vivaah kab hua?" (When did we legally get married?) Anjali asked surprised
"Matlab Maan ne aapko bhi nahi bataya?" (Maan did not even tell you?) Savitri Devi asked taken back.
"Dadimaa, kal Anjali ka college jaldi khatam ho gaya thaa, aur mujhe vakil saab ka phone aaya thaa ki “marriage registration” ke papers ready hain. Toh mai Anjali ko college se seedha Marriage Registrar ke office le gaya. Usse kaha ki kuch property ke papers par uske sign ki zarurat hai. Agar bata deta to woh chahti ki poora parivar saath ho aur usme ek din waste ho jata. Adi ne meri taraf se aur Pinky ne Anjali ki taraf se witness kiya! Aur abb lagata hai maine sahi hi kiya tha kal shaadi kar ke." (Dadimaa, yesterday Anjali's college got over early so I took her directly from college to Marriage Registrar's office as the lawyer informed me that Marriage registration papers are ready. I told her she has to sign some documents related to property I want to buy. If I would have told her, she would nag me to call all of you which would mean one day delay. Adi signed from my & Pinky from Anjali's side as witness. Now I think it was wise decision to get married yesterday) Maan explained. Savitri Devi & Vicky left to arrange everything in outhouse & KM.
Dr. Krishnan examined Geet and gave orders for getting Anjali's papers for discharge ready. Before Maan & Geet left, Dr. Krishnan met them in privacy. "Anjali & Maan, I need to discuss with you something private & personal. Anjali you are still not totally recovered and it will take about 10days for effect of toxins to reduce. Please wait for 10days before starting your marital life. I hope you are understanding my implication! 'Congratulations on your wedding'! All the best for your happy married life!!
Geet and Arjun reached outhouse with Maan. Once everyone was settled. Dadimaa got dinner served with vegetable soup especially for Geetanjali. She made a face & pushed the bowl towards Arjun. Which was only noticeable to Arjun & Maan. Arjun as he is Geet's brother & Maan because he was sitting too close to Geet and saw her facial expressions & her pushing the bowl."Kya hua Geetanjali aap soup nahi pee rahi?" (What happened Geetanjali? Why aren't you having soup?)
"Dadimaa, Gudiya ko soup nahi pasand, magar mujhe bahut pasand hai." (Dadimaa Gudiya doesn't like soup but I love it)
"Toh inke liye kya khaana mangwein?" (What should I get for her?)
"Kuch nahin. Gudiya daal, sabzi, roti jo sabke liye bana hai wahi kayengi. Gudiya ko Bharatiye chatpatta khana pasand hain, videshi khaana toh bilkul bhi pasand nahi hai." (Nothing! She will eat what rest of the family is eating i.e. Daal, veg., roti etc. Geetanjali likes spicy Indian food & not western food)
After dinner, Savitri Devi asked everyone to sit in the main hall of outhouse. She asked Nakul to bring everyone's coffee and tea there. By the time everyone settled; and tea & coffee came Geet went off to sleep as she was feeling very weak. Seeing this, Maan carried Geet to her room, covered her with quilt, left night light on & was looking at her to his heart's content. He still cannot get over seeing her lying unconscious on floor!!
Savitri Devi started, "Tomorrow's program is as follows, early morning will be 'Haldi'. Geet's Haldi will be here - Arjun, Riddhima & Meera will be in charge. Maan's Haldi will be in KM - where Rajveer, Vicky & Adi will be in charge. After haldi, Maan & Geetanjali cannot meet. The people in-charge have to see this, especially for Maan as he will definitely find a loophole to meet Geetanjali. MAAN CANNOT SEE GEETANJALI AFTER HALDI UNTIL JAI MAL except during sangeet & mehendi.” (Maan was in his Mishty's room admiring her sleeping) “In the evening, there will be sangeet & mehendi. On Sunday early morning, 6am will be Maan & Geetanjali's wedding in B**** Mandir. Any questions & doubts?"
"Who will bring Bhai from Bhabhi's room to KM now?"
"You and Arjun will!" Rajveer replied. Arjun & Vicky bought Maan out of Geet's room & Khuranas went to KM.
Sasha dropped Munshiji at home. Whole way to her home, her father kept lecturing her on "how she could be dishonest to Khuranas?" When he got off taxi & she did not, Munishiji questioned her about her whereabouts & Sasha said she is going to find a new job. A distraught father failed to see the time in night. Sasha told taxi driver the address. On reaching the address paid the taxi driver & he went off. "Sid, Sid where are you? I need your help! Khurana's sacked me as they’ve found the truth."
"Why did you come to me? You are useless to me now. You should have been more careful." A cold evil sounding voice answered.
"Sid please I need a job."
"Ok tell me about MSK meetings, projects etc. for next three months? Presently we will keep a low profile. Next we will act after planning well." Cold & evil voice of Siddharth Rathore answered.
