There is definitely a writing inconsistency. I think the CVS forgot that whole Atharva party sequence where it was revealed that Malhar was a terrible singer. But I mean, it was just one scene and doesn't have anything to do with the entire storyline or his character.
This happens when a show has multiple writers...but we can ignore that for a while.. assuming that uss party Mai Malhar Ka mood kharab tha so Sur Mai Nahi gaaya..but ya..kal ke epi Mai kallu ne pawar ko kaka bola...woh pata Nahi kaise hua!?
