The best way to show our disagreement is to leave the EBSS tag. Let it die out. Then there will be only 5 people on that tag. They would understand the value of critics then.

Apologies in advance for posting here without being a member of the thread, but looks like this is the only active thread in the whole forum.

I was debating whether to post or not after learning of the show going off. I haven’t watched a single episode since the factory drama started, it was all a bit too much for me. But I have been keeping tabs on and off, it’s like a car crash you can’t look away from.

I feel really bad for how it went downhill. Actually no, that’s a lie, I knew the day Dipti bent her knee in front of Star that this was bound to happen. I feel bad for Shrenu and Zain and the rest of the cast and crew though; people who had no creative influence and will be losing their income because of this stupid trp game.

No use crying over spilt milk, but it is indeed sad that tptb is going backwards in seeking inspiration - from Anandam (2000s) to Laadla (1990s) to what looks like The Taming of the Shrew (1590s).

I hope Shrenu soon finds a role as strong and interesting as Jahnvi, and more importantly be able to portray that character without any outside interference.

Better, I wish the show had aired on Star Bharat. Star Plus is meant for mainstremish kinda shows. Star Bharat is not that trp dependant, so the show would have run its usual course.

But SP and its experimentation. At least if it was experimenting, it should have allowed the experiment to run for 100 epis, without introducing a revamp midway.

A slightly different concept + dead slot = low trps. I guess all the unlucky factors came together to work against the show.

Sometimes I'm still surprised that the stupid copy of Laadla actually managed to get 0.8 trp, which is a little more than what it got in the second month of the show.

And I haven't seen taming of the shrew so dunno.

Just caught up with the episode and I’m like WOW! Seriously I don’t know who’s head should I break? Mine or the writers? They are definitely on dhatura!

I know the route that Pooja/ jhanvi took was wrong but when your whole life turns upside down, you have to beg on streets, had to see your dad burnt alive then hell ya every wrong act has a justification.

I have been patiently waiting for Kabir to open all his cards. I want to know why he’s doing this and I wanted to give him a benefit of doubt. But today was the end of all my patience. Like seriously 😒

I would have loved if the story was the other way round. That Pooja would have bled her heart out right after the fashion show fiasco and had told Kabir what an ass of a family Mittals are. I would have loved for Kabir to bend backwards to give the justice, peace and closure that Pooja deserves.. and in that process Pooja would have fell for Kabirs selfless act and then eventually love. It’s sort of the same story line that Sanju is following in one of her FF’s and digging for it.

But the current track makes me want to ugh— bloody Mittals. They can all go to hell. Ugh 😑

Oh, the irony of “Rishta wohi, soch nayi”. I think EBSS original plot was the experimentation, which got nipped at the bud, and they went back to their usual formula.

Have you watched the Heath Ledger-Julia Stiles starrer 10 Things I Hate About You? That movie is very loosely based on The Taming of the Shrew. I think Laadla is too. The plot goes that a guy rises to the challenge of marrying a headstrong woman and mistreats her into submission and docility, thereby taming her. She becomes the perfect wife in the end. I read Kabir is making Pooja do the “perfect bahu” duties that she used to imitate earlier, and this play is what came to mind. In Shakespeare’s defense, he wrote the play in the late 1500s. Literally centuries have passed by, but we are still stuck with this misogynistic crap*? I would insert the GOT Walk of shame gif here, but forgot how. So I will say it instead - SHAME SHAME SHAME! How I wish Pooja would burn them all like Cersei burned the Sept.

Does anyone worry that they might make PK innocent, and Ashok the fraud? Perhaps Pooja’s mom left when she learned the truth, Kabir has found this out, and towards the finale Pooja would too? Thus “justifying” Kabir’s actions. Ugh! The only thing against this is PK’s own words, but do the CVs care about canon all that much?
