It’s Kuhus turn now!

I know not a lot of people are Kuhus fans but I guess this is for the select few who are. We know how Kuhu is and even tho she has some love for Mishti, it’s not entirely shown. She’s mostly hesitant to care for her because of Kunal, it’s understandable. But I think Kunal telling Kuhu the whole truth on their first night could be a blessing in disguise. One is for Kuhu and Kunal relationship, second for Kuhu and Mishtis relationship and third for Kuhus relationship with her self.

1. Kuhu and Kunals relationship: I want them to start fresh. Yes they’re already married and yes Kunal is an asshole. But, the fact that Kunal is upset with Meenu tells me he at least has feelings and isn’t just persuaded to go every direction his mother tells him. Now I want him to take control of his relationship. I hope Kuhu and Kunal come to the conclusion that they have to civil and tolerate each other in front of the family. I hope this develops into a friendship first and Kuhu realizes he didn’t feel love for Kunal at all. It’s was an infatuation. And of course it will all come crashing down. But if these two are endgame then their relationship needs to develop organically like Abir and Mishtis relationship did. It needs to have mutual trust and respect and what better way to do that then them understanding that they need to be at least friends before they try to be husband and wife. This may enable Kuhu to learn that she can’t just marry someone just because she THINKS she loves them, or that if she just ignores warning signs of an unhealthy relationship that they will just go away.

I need Kuhus character development next. I don’t want just one female lead to have everything and the other just gets sidelined. Kuhu can’t just remain selfish and entitled her whole life and in the last episodes asks for forgiveness and everything is all good in the world. No she needs to learn what it means to be caring and selfless too!

2. Kuhus relationship with Mishti- this is the one that I’ve been excited for so long. We need them to make up for more than 2 minutes at a time. All these few minutes of here and there should be heading towards a consistent understanding between the two sisters. For example, today’s episode, Mishti apologized to Kuhu and they hugged and 2 seconds later Kuhu asked why did she have to come back? I get that Kuhu doesn’t want her wedding to go badly but you were clearly missing Mishti so why not express that instead of accusing her for every mishap that happens in terms of Kunal? I just want a steady development between the two now. A big reason is that they don’t know how great a bond between sisters can be you know? Kuhu can share her marriage problems with Mishti and maybe they can both come up with a solution, Kuhu and Mishti can talk about Meenu together, or talk about Kunal and Abir, idk just normal sister stuff. They’re really missing out on that and I really hope the writers start mending their relationship next. They both need each other in their lives.

3-Kuhus relationship with herself. Kuhu is naive and innocent. Yes she’s a grown adult and is responsible for her actions, and I want her to be held accountable for her actions as well. But, she lacks any introspection at all. Mishti thinks about not just her actions but also her behavior because unfortunately her “Parvarish” has enabled her to do so. I guess it seems that Kuhu has never felt like an outsider even tho she’s unaware of her mother. But at some point she needs to step away from how others see her and realize how her own behaviors affect others. She doesn’t know how to seek her own approval because she’s never had to. Others have showered so much love onto her all her life. I feel like she doesn’t know how to be on her own, think for her self, or even love her self? Idk I’m rambling at this point lol.

My final point: I want better for Kuhu, I don’t always want her to be this jealous and bratty girl who only thinks about herself. I want her to learn that the world is toxic and sometimes she has to fight on her own.

You know Rajan Shahi playing the game very smartly with this show. He keeps the two couples into two different categories! If you notice other indian tv love stories then there leads are the main villain of their own love story and that's why leads always get the all focus from every angle but here things are very different.. though Shaheer & Rhea always promoted as only leads in the show by Promos, banner, montage everything but in the main show Mishbir get more focus on romantic angle only than any other side and showing their love-story & also individual characters Totally Perfect package.. But Kunal-Kuhu as couple & characters not perfect but a trouble makers of their own life & their love stories.. They're the main villains of their own life.. So, if you remove all characters including Mishbir from Kunal-Kuhu's life then still their story revolve with problems, drama, rona-dhona, pain etc. all stuff the daily soaps need to run but if you remove all characters from Mishbir life then the show will wrap up in half an hrs with happy note. 🤣

After only Mishbir promoted as leads in everywhere still ppl asked on social media who's the main leads of this show ???😆 It's just because CVs making the "promoted leads" story so perfect that they hv to focus on "non-promoted leads" to keep moving the show.. So, why CVs are so biased with other leads (kunal-kuhu) if they're so important for the story ????

And you are right, they have rarely shown normal sister stuff on ITV. Sisters in real life are pretty much like what you described but ITV sisters are shown in either extreme of love or hate. Hope this show will be different

I just want to see mishbir focused story...not kukus...but in this serial..the main trp story revolves around kuku....which I dont like... plz focus more on mishbir....even in makeup,costumes everything they are giving best to kuhu compared to mishti..this is not done for makers

I want Kuhu to take a stand for herself and walk out of the marriage. Kunal doesn’t deserve that once chance unless he realizes his mistake . I want him to accept his mistake and feel sorry from bottom of his heart

I want the focus only on Mishti and Kuhu relationship without bringing other tracks in between . Unlike the majaority of people I believe both are equally responsible for the sore relationship. I definitely want Mishti to realize her mistake of hiding Meenakshi drama from Kuhu and realize Kuhu deserves to know the truth related to her marriage . She needs to realize she is not right every time and Kuhu is not so immature like she assumes her to be

Kuhu was never jealous but insecure . Maheswari s especially BM obsession with Mishti has contributed lot to Kuhu’s insecurity.

Thank you so much for this post❤️ I love Kuhu's character. I don't agree with most of her actions but you always know the reason she is behaving a certain way. She, in that sense, is a very well written character and with so much of scope to improve, it just sort of feels better that way.

This is my only wish, Kuhu should undergo a change. She's been begging for this marriage, she's been the happiest we have seen her and when finally she knows it was farce, there has to be a big melt down. The fact that she'll have nobody to pick up those broken pieces thrills me. So much scope for her developing into what I hope she becomes.

Kuhu and Kunal were beautiful too, in the beginning. Her asking him to live a little, the positivity ahe brought into his life. A very general ITV trope but it is cliché because it is loved. I had so many hopes for them too. I have been wanting this. That Kunal and Kuhu come to an agreement to be civil. While all her rosy, romantic expectations have come to crash, there is a certain partnership that they both need. Kunal literally has someone so different in his corner, who is ready to be COMPLETELY biased for him. Kuhu also has a more mature weight balancing her scale now. They have so much room to grow. They should start from where they had left very initially. When Kunal had asked her to be friends even after the rejection. They need to pick up from that. There was no love, only this need for love from Kuhu's end. The slightest bit of affection, fake nonetheless, from Kunal's end had her 'in love'. Can't wait for her to realise what love actually is. Not entirely like Abir and Mishti's since theirs is completely unique but anything is better than her current feelings of dependance on Kunal.

I said this earlier, I'll say it again. Kunal is her Prince Charming, not because of any of his redeeming qualities but because he hates Mishti. She feels like she finally has a safe space, a person who understands why she feels that Mishti is a villian, somebody who agrees with that (WILD) standpoint.

I don't actually have a problem with her being selfish, since that gives her a real tinge but yes, she needs to learn adjustment. Mishti's said this before, even if they hate each other, they are family. That's how it works. She needs to learn to give a little. She takes things for granted and that is not okay. She isn't selfish, just ungrateful, I guess? Being selfless is extremely unhealthy, since Mishti literally was ready to ruin her equations with everyone so that Kuhu could get married. If not for Abir to be such an ALIEN character to ITV, we would be at 1 year later :/

Kuhu and Mishti are my ultimate OTP in the show. Period. Their development is what I am waiting for. What I am watching for. (I mean of course all the MishBir cuteness is a MAJOR reason but Kuhu-Mishti's dynamic is just so interesting *heart eyes*)

When they were kids, Mishti was apparently Mishti Didu to Kuhu or something. Mishti moving in must have had such a profound impact on Kuhu. I want to see that! All sisters argue on so many things but at the end of the day, they are just that. Two girls who love each other and can do anything for the other. Kuhu loves Mishti and a part of her knows that too but the other, immature side of her keeps herself convinced that Mishti dislikes her and as a "coping" technique (couldn't find a better word) she keeps up the hate. Today, when she asked Mishti why she came back, she wasn't extremely wrong. Literally everyone knows Kunal hates Mishti and if your groom just leaves you stranded and walks out of your wedding venue, for whatever reason, you are bound to get upset. As for why she can't express her love for Mishti, she is married to Kunal. Kuhu has seen Kunal wanting to break off the wedding at every given opportunity and she sees this relationship as her "saviour". Kunal loathes Mishti. How could she possibly express love when her now husband tends to go all "not getting married" every two seconds. This is the most alarming sign that Kuhu blindly ignores. Once she sees past this, my Mishti-Kuhu ship will sail, and I can't wait.

This 'love' for Kunal is currently her most probpematic characteristic and on Monday when it finally breaks, she will change. For better or for worse :/ That's what I am not ready for. Maybe she just begins, "Kunal is saying this because he hates Mishti and is currently brainwashed. Everything is Mishti's faults."

OR

"Mishti ruined my life. I and my feelings were used in this stupid manic revenge plan. Everything is Mishti's fault."

OR (the best of them all)

"I failed to see all these red flags. His hatred for Mishti lead him to do all this crap. I need to better myself. Make sure this marriage I ended up in doesn't turn out to be a the worst. Need to mend my relations with the sister I secretly love so much. Mishti was never at fault."

Kuhu and Kuhu

Let's state it, the day Kuhu begins to realise she is more than what she lets herself believe, the YRHPK world will be a bit better. The show has been such a beautiful journey of Mishti and Abir, with Abir constantly being one of the best men I have seen, with his respect for women so clearly visible and his support for Mishti, dream-like. Kuhu's husband won't be that for her, at least not for a long time. One of the reasons Abir was ready to support Mishti always is because he knew she is strong and will fight for herself and what she believes is right. Kuhu needs to do that. Not because Mishti does it but because she needs that in her life. She needs to pursue her interests.

When she wanted to learn the Japanese flower decoration (Ikebana, I think?), everybody praising Mishti got to her. She let her interest fall behind in this battle to prove herself better. If there is one characteristic of Kuhu that stands out is jealousy. She lets her jealousy rule every decision she makes. She took up a job she had no interest in (and no idea how to do it) because she wanted to compete with Mishti. The family is also somehow at fault. Kids need validation. I know Mishti has had a troubled past, she is my soft girl and needs to be protected at all costs <3 but Kuhu had also been a very silent kid. She is illegitimate and it isn't easy for them either. We know Kuhu has a mature side to her, she knows how to put up a brave face if that means her family is happy. Even when she believed she loved Kunal, she was ready to let it go because everyone thought Mishti and Kunal were perfect and Mishti would be happy with him.

I love the way she is written, honestly. There are a lot of problematic things but her actions always make sense. You know exactly why she does what she does. I need her to grow self-confident and dependant. I cannot wait for it!
