Life is not easy. You win some and you lose some. No one from either the Roy family or the Kapoor family struck balance in their lives.

Assuming something is never good. You add lies to the equation, it gets worse. No communication, not acting on the feelings (I would say even that won’t always result in positive out come in all the parties involved) and acting on the feelings without considering others feelings, the list goes on.

Until certain age, our parents are responsible to what ever happens in our lives. After that we need to take charge of our own life.

So, let me begin with Aakash.

Aakash has suffered because his parents were not happy in their married life. Mum was busy with ruling party activities and dad was busy in earning money to run the house. They both drifted apart some time after Akash was born. It looks like Manohar tried to keep the bond together but, it did not work. One fine day, he gave into his desire to be with Aarti, filed for divorce and married Aarti who has a child from her previous marriage. For Akash, even though that is not the case, it may have looked like Arnav snatched his father.

His mother drowned herself in misery. I guess, she was miserable because her ego was hurt not because she loved Manohar and can’t live without him. So Akash chose to support his mother. That support kept spreading to Payal, to Manohar, to his profession, to his firm and also to Khushi. In all this he never wanted anything in return, except he certainly hoped to have a future with Khushi.

Unfortunately he lost Khushi to Arnav who acted on his feelings promptly and methodically. Arnav did use some tricks to get his way though.

In the end it turned out to be “Jo Jeeta Vahee Sikandar”.

The key is, Akash assumed Khushi will understand his love and vulnerability without him saying it out loud.

On top of that Priya indirectly played a role in breaking his heart if I believe what Garima said about Priya is correct.

Akash is the oldest of the younger generation. So, it is also his fault that he did not act on his feelings even after noticing Arnav’s increasing visits to the office and running into Khushi at every given opportunity.

As much as others played a role, Akash is equally responsible for his own heart break.

Now he is trying to communicate to let his frustration out. What happens in the future, we have to wait and watch.

Wonderful chapter N. Will be back with my views on Khushi and Arnav later. Most probably in the evening. My lunch time is over. I have to get back to work.

Cheers….

Khushi:

Khushi fell in love and had an inkling that Akash may have some liking for her and wanted to give it some time. She could have persuaded her love, but she hasn’t got the luxury.

She is the sole bread winner for Roys.

Anjali is handicapped and needs support until she starts taking care of herself.

She could not disregard Manohar’s gratitude who mentored her and gave her a job when she needed the most.

Not but not the least, she could not upset the only living parent after losing the other parent under questionable circumstances.

All these reasons weighed her down and she succumb to the pressure from Garima, Manohar and may be to some extent from Arnav.

Could she have done something differently? Did she commit a mistake somewhere during the course which jeopardized her chances to peruse her love for Akash? I don’t know.

At the beginning of the marriage, she was very sure that her marriage has an expiry date. Why wasn’t she vocal about it? What was she planning to do once the marriage expires?

What was going through her mind? We yet to find out.

I am not sure why she left the job in the first place.

She found out why Garima, Anjali and Arnav were against her returning to work at KA&S on day one itself. Will she understand the enormity and act on it or will she take her time?

Will she open up to Arnav soon or will she keep it to herself until it is too late?

So many questions and have to wait until they are answered in due course.

Bear with me, I have one more comment to post.

Cheers………..

Now to Arnav.
Arnav lost his father even before entering into teens. If I am not wrong, boys tend to make role models out of fathers more. It was that age, when he needed a father to play football, soccer or cricket, you name it. But Arnav did not get that chance. Of course he has Aman with him since childhood. Then his mother married Manohar against his wishes. Unfortunately his mother did not think it is important to work on Arnav’s feelings. For some reason he could not get along with his step father.
To make matters worse, his mother immersed herself in setting up KAS and step father in working hard and spending a chunk of time with his biological off springs. Out of misery or spite or under the influence of bad company he got addicted to drugs. Then one find day, he lost his mother in an accident. By the time he was barely out of teens, he lost both his biological parents and left with a step father who neglected his mother and decided to reconcile with his ex wife and could not even keep him in the same house along with his ex family. Shyam and Aman supported him when he lost all important relationships. No wonder he can’t listen to anything against them at the moment. But life made him tough and he started taking what he thinks rightfully his. Nothing wrong in it.

My closing statement for this round of comments. All three of them have seen highs and lows of life. Lost relationships along the way at unexpected junctures of life, faced bitterness and could not have the luxury of listening to their hearts and chose what they want.
May be Arnav has managed to get the person he loved. But, in his bitterness he took some rash decisions, which are going to cost him his Khushi for some time. Waiting to see how you unfold the story and give all three the happiness they deserve.
Phew! I can’t believe I made three long comments in one chapter.
Cheers………

Beautifully written... :)

Very nicely said. All Kapoors caught in their own dilemma and have their own perception which they don't want to change

Hi N,

I just quoted @ecri reply. I was thinking about how will Akash react to Khushi joining back.

Akash perspective is that he is always sacrificing. Every child deserves two loving parents and it's his father's mistakes not Arnav's if he didn't get normal happy family. No way does his mom looks like she cried pining for her husband. So while he tries to be a good son to be in his father's good books he sees Khushi as a loss to Arnav. Khushi is a person not some trophy he lost to Arnav. He is in a self pitying mode. He thinks he has always offered to others. I don't see Arnav taking his place anywhere nor is he even remotely interested in being Manohar's son. As for Khushi he hasn't exactly sacrificed if he didn't propose. Neither did Khushi reciprocate with a yes. Why did he have to tell her indirectly now and put Khushi in a spot about his feelings if he didn't do it when there was time.

Khushi is reminiscing about her past win and it's apparent her father means a lot to her and so does this firm because of her father. She liked Akash and Akash from what we see hasn't even confessed to her.

Both Akash and Khushi indeed have a lot in common apart from what Akash listed is that they feel they have sacrificed for their families yet both resent Arnav for taking over their lives and choices. At the end of the day no matter what it's their choices. Sorry if you feel you can marry someone else or not fight for your love when they marry someone else it isn't love but just an illusion of love. Love isn't about liking someone it's about understanding each other, being there for each other and standing up for them when needed which builds trust in each other. Neither of them had any of these.

If Akash loved Khushi and felt she loved him too then why didn't he talk to her. Why didn't he stop her then knowing it's miserable to be in a loveless marriage. Now when she is already married he is saying things instead of wishing her to be happy and let her work here peacefully without making her feel awkward or guilty.

It would be problematic if Akash is going to bring up the past and she needs to draw a line between them on a personal level. Arnav doesn't know about her being in love with Akash and has trusted her to work with people he despises so she should tell him before he finds about from somewhere. More than the truth the manner in which it comes forth has a direct bearing on its outcome.

Arnav may have many faults but the man is honest loyal and caring towards his people and he trusts them to the core despite his experiences. He told Aman that if he loved a girl he should be wedding invites by now. Clearly he believes if you love someone truly you marry them. It was not right on his part to take liberties with Khushi without her will but it was kinda cute how he was checking how his heart felt getting close to her.

It reminded me of the show Khushi going towards Arnav and then stepping back and doing this back and forth couple of times to know if her heart beats faster when Arnav is near or far.

All the kids had it rough because the parents did not have a normal relationship. Both Arnav and Akash suffered in their own way.

Neither Khushi nor Akash were able to verbalize their feelings and others made the decisions for them.
