I don't think this is that big of a deal. Malhar does trust her, he is just unable to believe that his old bff and this innocent looking girl has kidnapped Atul and is actually a terrorist. It is hard to believe if you think about it. But there is a lot of evidence against her. I think the drones is what will give it away.
