Pakistani Actress, Mehwish Hayat, goes after Bollywood in speech

She asked for a better representation of Pakistanis in Hollywood and Bollywood. I see no wrong in this. Stop making it seem like it was an attack.

Unforunately this speech, like many other good speeches, will disappear into oblivion.

Pakistan as an enemy has actually benefited the current Indian govt. Making peace with it will actually puncture one of its biggest weapons to capture their vote bank. So nothing on this front will happen in the next few years. Between peace and nationalistic fervour, it is clear what their choice is.

Only one point I have to disagree with in this speech is about how Pakistan is ready to take ten steps for peace if India takes one. How about Pakistan stop treating this as a "You go first, I go second" game? Why don't they combat the terrorism in its own country that killed thousands of people? How about they stop their atrocities in Balochistan? Stop treating this as a competition.

Kashmir and Balochistan issue is more than just ego clash and politics. Also I wonder if they can exist as independent country without any aid from India(since they claim to hate us so much yet enjoy every right and freedom an average Indian does).

If India takes one step towards friendship, Pakistan sends 10 terrorists towards India. We have seen the results of 60 odd years of Aman ki asha.

when Vajpayee arrived in a bus with the hand of peace, the Kargil war happened. For any talks to happen, first terrorist activities, waging a proxy war through ISI should stop. Then India can talk peace

Terror apologists working overtime I see. Btw haven't some of the Brothelwood movies bent over backwards with regards to how Pakistanis are represented? I am thinking of movies like PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and even Raazi where Pakistanis are practically shown as Farishtaas and Indians/Indian agencies are shown as conservative/bigoted/ruthless.

Still at least I have some respect for these guys as they are openly doing psy-ops for their country. Yahaan toh ulti Ganga beh rahi hai.

What one step ,10 steps ? We ,Indians are the ones who is always taking peaceful steps towards them...and they are the ones ,who is backstabbing ...baath karthi hai steps ki while reading a scripted lecture...

I think we all know what Modi did when IK extended peace gesture and that’s what she referred to.
