I was rewatching the old episodes and I think there's a certain sense of animosity as well. Like this marriage was something necessary for his daughter at the same time an inconvenience for him because he'd been disillusioned for so long. And he would've probably never chosen Prerna for himself so that combined annoyance of having to marry again came out in that slightly cruel retorts and looks. However, all of that changed when the impending day came itself. Like wanting her to be comfortable became his priority. I think the age gap further enhanced the situation and his guilt. Because she was so young and so vulnerable so that sense of protectiveness was further amplified. With him looking after her stealing glances, assuring her in his own way, making sure she was comfortable. And then the patience and the leeway she has now with him. Both of them are going from begrudging acceptance to exploration of their new relationship. And that's so exciting.

He was prepared for it at the same time he could see its pros n cons coming along with it.

First meeting - He was so amused at her way of loving a guy n being such an open book to him though he was impressed with her daring to enter his house n order him.

Second meeting - He almost taunted her love n her dumbness. Kind of.

Third meeting - She agreed for marriage plus pregnancy news revelation. He cud see how young n innocent for her to sacrifice her life at a wrong time for someone, which is very rare for him.

Fourth/fifth meeting - Being sadistic on phone, asking her one more sharth n all was just a way of removing his frustration n due to those initial thoughts on getting married again.

Sixth meeting - Mehndi scene. He almost gave up was here. He was finally ready for the marriage what may come. The age difference actually started being visible from here. Cuz he knows she is now his responsibility n there was no point in now looking back.

Here, somehow I feel their understanding level little premature. The built up is not that smooth. The SS is the issue. Or maybe something else. But I wanted a better build up for yesterday's scene.

From Swiss to India scene, there has been a massive change in PreRish dynamics and its like a missing piece of puzzle which we have to fit ourselves.
