My point is being an outsider Sid is getting as many chances and opportunities as a star kid gets. He hasn't given a single hit on his own neither he is a great actor like Ayushman, Rajkumar or Vicky to make it understandable why is he getting offers after so many flops.

So this debate over outsiders vs star kids has become lull now.

It's sad because he is talented. But he needs to work with super-competent directors. Like, he needs an Imtiaz Ali type film to get the emotions squeezed out of him.

I feel like he will go the Arjun Rampal way. A very shaky start to his career, super gorgeous, then few years down the line he will find his niche. Hopefully.

err ... he didn't give him that ARMY BIOPIC...the film was announced without a producer..when no1 came up to take it up, it was kjo's dharma that decided to come on board...that's why the official confirmation took a lot of time

Not true. Sidharth scored big with Ek Villain, i remember at that time the film crossed 100 crores and he was the first from the young gen to do that! Also the film opened to 16 crores on opening day and that too back in 2014! HUGE feat. Plus it wasnt even a Dharma film.

Sadly after that it went downhill (Kapoor & Sons worked though)

He is being set up to fail on purpose otherwise he can do good work but not getting those good opportunities.

False. The songs were a massive hit and contributed a lot to the success and buzz. Also Shraddha was coming after a big hit. Aiyyari was his real test and now Marjavan.

How is it false ? Everyone knows Ev was a big hit and during that year everyone from a Ranveer, Varun, Arjun to Ranbir were lagging behind delivering flops - this is a Fact.

It is very hard to change the impression he’s created among the audiences that he’s a wooden actor. And JJ did not look good from the word go so there goes another flop. He should realize that BW isn’t his cup of tea and try going digital. There’s nothing wrong in it!

Yes it was a hit but not because of Sid's credibility. He got lucky.
